We had a facility here in Northern Maine that was doing what the Department of defense has asked AM General to do and when I worked there we did it below estimated cost. Why not reopen the facility in my area and ship the parts so an area hard hit economically can have decent jobs. I smell some back closet shenanigans, which wouldn't be the first time.

Nice shiny nuts and bolts is all I saw. They need more powerful engines , better transmissions, and new suspension systems to handle all that extra armor they slapped on them.

Easy to maintain, easy to drive and all the manuals updated for them. All the older Mechanics know the tricks and common faults with them and pass knowledge down to soldiers that just getting started . I am 91b and I was taught alot about these vehicles, it Is a simple design
