If you want the most reliable tool...a hammer so to speak...Glock is it. Period. Quality costs money. Sig quality/reliability is questionable at best. Maybe you'll get a good one, maybe you won't. Unfortunately this went to the lowest bidder. Par for the course.

The JDAM or joint direct attack munition is highly adaptable for different missions. It’s not an off the shelf one size fits all situation. I’ve shot my sig over 100 times and put hundreds of rounds and have had no issues without cleaning it once. Glock sounds like a loser.

The glock is not and cannot be "truly modular" sig is the only competor that offered a truly modular weapon where the chasis is the control item and everything else can be swapped imcluding caliber....now several companies have modular guns in the style of the sig, so if the competition were held today the results might be different, however glock still does NOT offer a truly modular weapon. i own and carry numerous glocks but that does not change the fact that they are not truly modular regardless of what the wording of the requirements said ....
One things for sure vortex scopes aren't cheap and they won the government contract too

I considered getting a P320, until I watched several videos of them going off, including in an officer's holster. That didn't even shut me down, because eventually they would get it fixed. What shut me down cold was when they blamed an officer when it went off in his holster and he wasn't even touching it, and it was on video.
