Alyssa has always brought a "normal" perspective to EV ownership that I really identify with. Her videos are among my favorites.

I like how Alyssa casually talks so well about her EV experience. She's a gem.

I actually think this maybe your best video. Really enjoyed Alyssa so relaxed.

We miss Alyssa. if the repair doesn't work then put a dash cover on there and take the hit when trading in the car for whatever comes next. It would probably even out in the long run and be less hassle. I had to put a cover on my ID.4 to get rid of the window glare. It was really messing with my eyes and has helped a lot. Dave do you know if Alyssa is still doing the dog rescue transport? I really enjoyed those videos and hope we get to see more in the future.

Hey Alyssa and Dave, Great video. Love the E-Tron! If no one has mentioned it yet, to get the massage seats from the bottom screen, just touch the photo of the whole seat and then scroll to the right for the massage options to pull up. Keep up the good work. 😊

K’s videos have gone so overboard on charging I have lost interest in OoS. Alyssa has a solid knowledge of the EV world and if she starts a channel I will be watching.

I guess I am ignorant, I didn't realize there was a break up (probably due to video's being released long after filming) until I saw Kyle with the new GF. I am going to miss Alyssa on the channel :( Does she have a channel of her own that I can follow? Out of spec is famous enough in my world that I was surprised that I couldn't look up details of the split on line... Yes, it is none of our business, but I can't help being curious about people I watch on a regular basis on KZread.

@Bob M because in a previous video Alyssa said that she had her own apartment and if you watch the new video where Kyle picked up is 2009 Rover, him and Anna are in a tiny house for the evening with one bed and I highly doubt Kyle's going to sleep on the couch. In another video without aspect Dave, Alisa keeps referring to Kyle as "your son" that's a Dead Ringer as well

I have a 2023 etron, and so far I love it. I would def like to have more range, so I too am excited to see the new Q-8. The car is an Audi in every way. It is so, so fun to drive.

Alyssa was a big draw to OOS and was liked very much. I think Kyle made a big mistake!

@@dandee5770 Don’t think so. They mentioned in a previous video that she has her own apartment, and she’s been conspicuously absent from OOS videos for a while. Also, Kyle seems to be spending a lot of time with Anna, including what appears to be sharing a one bedroom accommodation with her. Unfortunate. I really like her perspective, and personally, I like her better than I do Kyle. Not that Kyle’s a bad guy or anything.. he just seems like.. a lot. Did you ever notice how he talked to Alyssa? Often it was in a condescending tone. Honestly, it sometimes made me cringe.

That’s pretty amazing that the studded tires cannot be heard in the cabin. Audi did an amazing job isolating the noise.

Doesn’t Alyssa run a dog rescue? If so, it might be good to see her produce a dog rescue YT channel some day.

You mentioned (16:53) that the Q8 is pretty big. The ICE version is however I think the Etron Q8 is essentially the same size as the original Etron (you have). As far as I understood it the Q8 Etron is a direct replacement for the Etron you own even then cabin is very similar just better range/efficiency and some other practical improvements.

The Q8 Etron is the mid-life update of the Etron, so it's not so much a direct replacement, rather it's the same car, just updated. Audi renamed it and added 'Q8' as the 'Etron' product naming is now used across multiple products in their range, so the renaming was required to add clarity.

The damage to the dash is a covered loss under your comprehensive insurance. File a claim and you would only pay your comprehensive deductible

I've been driving etron for over 3 years, great car. Have 35K miles driven, more than a hanful of road trips even in 9F freezing rain no problems. With CCS chargers poping up along major driving routes the mediocer range is not an issue.

There was a video (Kim Java) had someone repair her vegan leather seat including perforation-Did a great job.

I would have liked to hear more about what Alyssa likes about the car, and what she would prefer to be different or better -- such as the infotainment, regen braking, control setup, etc. Most of the video was completely unrelated to the car. Also, if she has her wn channel, please post a link. I did not know she has her own...

Alyssa, I so welcome and am grateful for your experience and willingness to share. I am on the verge of purchasing a used 2019 filly loaded e tron Prestige edition with 25 000 for $40 000. The vehicle is in excellent condition, like new in fact, as one would expect with an Audi. I was wondering if you would be kind enough to perhaps give me a couple of pointers on what I should look out for with a used e tron. Again, thank you so much …. Could I recommend you start your own channel. Your perspective is very insightful.

@@dconner9 we all love the content from the OOS family, and to some extent, even though you don't know any of us personally, you and the team (Alyssa included) all feel like "friends and family" to us, and as such, when we don't see one of your team members for more than a month, we are all concerned. There are many others asking about Alyssa and speculating on all sorts of things. We hope Alyssa is well and we'll see her again soon.

@@dconner9 If I may be so bold as to offer some context, in a non-internet troll kind of way, I believe the inference refers to the grief the Out of Spec viewers are feeling while trying not to believe what their eyes are telling them. Like it or not, the Out of Spec family has become just that to all of its loyal subscribers across the channels. Whether youtube content creators aspire to this or not, people on the screen become much more than that in our lives. I would say this video, more than others, is kind of emblematic of the struggle. Are they together? Are they not? Oh look, there's Kyle! Though not the intent I'm certain, but it's literally toying with the Out of Spec loyalists. Not that long ago, we were privy to the notion that Alyssa now has her own place. CES wasn't that long ago, but now we see Kyle traversing the US with Anna (things he was doing with Alyssa not that long ago) as she appears without explanation. The comments are filled with references to this across videos. It has the feeling of children of divorced parents.

Good to see it's holding up well, we're thinking we might pick up a used one when our Polestar 2 lease is up as we want something bigger and the drop in range is unlikely to bother us.

I like how she has a car she likes and she sticks with it, I'm same with my egolfs even though not super big range I'm cool with it, and that fact she sticks with it is a1 alot of ppl trade in cars fast in my opinion

The lit up seat belt is a nice touch. Luxury car, but Alyssa is right, needs more range. Kind of a big miss when combined with the lousy charging. Nice to see Alyssa in this. I used to think she was stuck up, but then concluded she was just quiet. It's nice to see her get more and more comfortable as she has a knowledgeable woman's perspective and provides contrast to all the males in the industry. She's no fan of Vinfast! Haha. Interesting comments on the people behind the scenes at the various companies. I'm with Kyle on the prototypes. Why waste the time of your never gonna build it?

Was hoping she could’ve finished her opinion about the Model Y. My 2023 has a rattle or two in the back but I still love it.

I have been able to get rid of some of the rattle. I have taken the rear hatch interior trim off and i put weather stripping between the two panels that meet around the driver side hindge. i sprayed flex seal in between the panels as well. it helped for sure but there is other popping and flexing around the headliner as well and the rear seats somewhere... :(

Nice interpersonal review... it is at least recent and relevant, most others on the etron are 2-3yrs old. Would have appreciated hearing more about Alyssa's actual ownership experience, but, the absence of talk about problems and issues aside from range and reliable charger availabilty, pretty much summed it up. Feel the pain about the dash, BUT, accidents such as the dog scarring the dash is an opportunity to have a little creative fun; ask an upholstery person or the guy that's doing the repair how much to cover that entire dash section in the same black "leatherette" material and color, or contrasting color. Also, with vinyl wraps/veneers being so popular, get the scratched "wood" trim covered even change to any finish of choice - carbon fiber anyone?? 😉

Please call out Audi on the lack of Plug and Charge with the '19 e-tron. It has been promised for years. It was sold as ISO 15118 compliant. Still waiting.

She nailed it, E-TRON is soooooo well made unlike Kia and Tesla etc. Do not get a Y! Q4 is not a real Audi, this is.

It's still better than a Q5 😂, also that dash does look really bad.
