We can’t count the results on this one due to a charging derating problem however we thought you’d still find the video interesting to get Alyssa’s take on the EQE SUV 500 4MATIC

Thanks, Alyssa for running this test! It was your first time doing one of these so I appreciate it. We won’t count the results in our 10% challenge sheet because of the weird charging dip that you experienced and also the car not being in ECO mode. However it still could be a fun watch for our viewers even though it isn’t 100% how we run the test. Thanks again for doing this and I hope everyone enjoys! Looking forward to a re-test without the weird charging problems in the future ⚡️

Not a half bad result considering both of those things plus this not being the "long range" version of the car.

Hate to say it but these weird charging issues are normal sadly. Important for people to know about considering it is meant to be a real world test. Maybe not ideal for testing the car but certainly the real world experience. It's not like it had a major impact, maybe 10 miles of range with these variables?

@@darrenorange2982EQE should be able to charge to 49%, not 39 % in 15 min. according to the teslabjorn charge test. This would be 1/3 more energy (starting at 10 %).

I love the data that you guys are collecting in the 10% challenge sheet. Keep it up!
I like seeing Alyssa doing road trips because she thinks more like normal drivers. Kyle has the system dialled in for sure, but Alyssa is more like a normal driver.
More Alyssa road tests, please. Thanks. 😊
Love the 10% challenge. Please do more of these. Nice bonus to see Alyssa run this.
Need more Alyssa content!!
Well done Alyssa!
Nice change of pace to have Alyssa do the video.
Well done, Alyssa. I really enjoyed this video.
Alyssa, your brain is just fine, and you are a fantastic addition to the channel. Keep up the good work!
Kyle/Alyssa, I'll have my '23 MB EQS 450+ SUV in FoCo next month if you need a range test.

Alyssa video? Alyssa Video! this interior screen setup is so much nicer than the hyperscreen, my god.
Thank you, Alyssa. Great job on the video!
Nice job, Alyssa. And, yes, you’re correct: the whole EV experience is in flux and moving forward. Unlike ICE and it’s 19th century technology, the entire EV environment is evolving. From sources of energy to battery tech to motor efficiency to infrastructure - it’s all on the move. Maybe not as fast or as far as some might like, but there’s not one aspect of it not being changed. You and the entire crew at OOS are doing a great job of keeping us informed!
Welcome back Alyssa! Glad to see you back on the channel again. Tho NONE of my business, I hope you and Kyle are a team again as you compliment each other well. Wish you both much success and look forward to more content from both of you!
Alyssa should do more video's. Would love to see another dog rescue.
Glad to see you do more videos Alyssa. Nice job!
Great video Alyssa. It is nice to have a normal driver experience, you guys are a great team but sometimes Kyle baffles me with science.
My girls so happy to see Alyssa.
Left lane should be for passing only! There would be so much less traffic and road rage incidents if everyone stuck to that principle. Good job for Mercedes to implement that feature. Hopefully more manufacturers will get on board with that.

Well done Alyssa. Great video.
Great video Alyssa. Keep them coming.
Alyssa Video's Rock. You should do more videos alone. Good amount of information.
I think the mileage achieved is really good considering the speed you were going. I live in Ontario Canada and our speed limit is 100 km/h or 62 m.p.h. I would travel at around 70 mp.h. without worrying about our OPP pulling me over for speeding. I think at that speed I would be getting better results as far a battery depletion goes. That Mercedes up here would be about another 30% higher in price or so because of our dollar difference. Way too expensive for my bank account for sure but, definitely an impressive car. I think you did an excellent job with your review.👍👍🇨🇦
A cool thing about Alyssa is that she doesn't repeat things 30 times an the video is under 2 hours
Great review Alyssa. Please do more of them. Love your feedback and comments, you think more like us mortals....
This was awesome! More Alyssa videos please!
Now this is good, 15minutes at the charger then 80mph . That's a real life scenario. Thank you.
This is my favorite test metric and I look forward to more models tested. Thanks OoS
Great job on the test, hope to see more content from you. Also appreciated the extra share on the auto lane change, that's really cool. I bet in 5 years we'll see 200 miles as the normal result. Exciting!
For that price, Rivian R1S all day. Great video!

thank's Alyssa great video ! i like to have your point of view ! More vids of Alyssa testing and giving us her report. Please .
Super, testing is awesome 😎
Thanks Alyssa!!!
I’d like to see a follow up on the etron and how it’s holding up. They are coming within range price wise and a Prestige is hard to find.
Yay, Alyssa content!!

Nice Video.
Go Alyssa, you should do more reviews.
Cool that you have Nokian as a sponsor, but what is going on with them? Many of their tires are on backorder and new ones like Outpost NaT that I wanted for my Rivian don’t have an ETA at all (I called them directly!)
So how many miles per kWh did it do?
Do you know how long the charging speed was diminished? I'd be curious to know if you recorded that data or if it's available on your charging app. Because it was charging at a low rate for a while (not sure how long), it did not receive as much energy as it could have. That resulted in a lower range for the vehicle. I have noticed the same behavior on my EQS at a 150kW EA charger. For the most part, it charges from 20% to 80% at an relatively flat rate. But occasionally, the charging rate definitely drops to around 30-35 kW and then spikes up to 170-190 kW (not sure how it goes that high on a 150kW charger). It repeats this cycle 2-3 times. But in between the spikes, it charges at a flat rate, until the end. Not sure if this is EA de-rating the charger due to overheating cables or Mercedes requesting less power due to heat build up in the battery pack. I have seen this behavior in winter and in summer.
5:13 when the charging speed went down it migth have been the battery getting either to cold or to Hot, did you by any means heard if the fans started to tu try to mange the temperture and maybe manage it do "Cool" / "heat" the battery to the rigth temperture to get back to better KW.
While charging the center screen gives more info, including if charge rate is derated by the vehicle or charger.
great video Alyssa
Appreciate the test video, but whoa, that's a lot of rapid camera movement!

It would be interesting to see Alyssa drive the Jetson One flying car.

GIVE ALYSSA THE CHANNEL!!!
Nice job Alyssa!
Where is the link in the description for the 10% challenge ranking list?
You should rename this the 15 min charge test. 10% just confirms a low SoC. You may get the same result at 5, 10, or 15% SoC. But changing from 15 to 20 min charge makes a big difference.
What are all those red icons on the screen while you are charging? Seems like that is not great.
Nice review. Nice car but it doesn’t charge too many miles per hour. 5:54: “gained about… 19%” Well, 29%, actually… (39% minus 10% equals 29%)… Public math is risky! 😂

Great. Job! I wouldn't trade my Taycan for it, however.
A different perspective is always welcomed especially for the normal folks like us.
Great job Alyssa!
I always think of it as the 10-15 challenge so that I can remember more what it means. Probably gets too wordy and confusing though when you add more description to it.

A non-Tesla charging network failed? What the hey!?
This test solidifies my decision to stick with PHEVs. 15 minutes charging, which is a pretty long stop at a service station, and you can't even get an hour of driving in? You basically have to stop for 20 minutes every hour? This is like a 100k version of that toy you had as a kid that would only work for 10 minute and need to charge so it's no fun to play with.

ONLY $98 K for an electric E class SUV. They'll lease every one of them and sell none. $100K for that, LOL....
$98k? No thanks but nice job Alyssa.
The charging performance doesn't look that good as 67 miles X 456Wh/mi = 30kWh taken in at the charge-up. My new Q8 eTron took in 41kWh and runs a little more eficient getting 96 miles in this test. Don't know why people are so down on the Audi efficiency when there are EVs with worst performance. I did see the problem with the charging session but doesn't appear to be that long.
People who camp in the left lane are like going to Walmart and having all the carts in the parking lot instead of in the cart return. You all need help.
