I have never watched Spirited Away, but this song makes me so nostalgic. My grandma is from Japan and the rest of my family lives in the Philippines. A long time ago my grandma shipped a clock to us and it would play 1 out of 5 tunes every hour. One of the tunes was this song The clock has worn down and doesn't work anymore but this song will forever remain in my heart

tbh this song helps me cope with emotions i cant understand, or things i cant tell the world but can talk centuries about, and it really breaks the static neutrality and brings me into tears, so thank you joe hiashi i cant thank you enough in words for creating such a beutiful emotionally compelling melody, thank you.

When I was in Tokyo as international student i used to listen this song when I miss my home. And now still gives me chill in my spine when I hear this song. Lots of memories.

I am a father of two. I just lost my third child, my wife had a miscarriage. And this song and its lyrics really remind me of him.

Beautiful song and beautiful anime. Though, I don’t think this is the original recording of the song from the movie but a cover by the artist Erutan :)

This song not only reminds me of family members I can't see all the time, but also my relationship with the living King Jesus Christ. How He speaks to me in times of confusion and hurt and how He filled my soul when I felt empty inside for so long. It reminds me of how, when I was once dead in the spirit, Christ raised me from death and I was born again. And who would have guessed that this song is from my favorite Ghibli movie? Thanks for the lyrics ❤️
