@@GrandRiserOfficial the best option for her is to not remember. Remembering would mean clinging to the past, not wanting to let go what she lived and much less to lose Haku. Zenibba told her that she won’t forget everything, even if it’s hard, memories come back. She will recall the spirit world someday, but she has to grow and live her life before going back

@Olivia but it is also stated in the movie "once you met someone, you never really forget" or something like that, which probably means, even if she doesn't recall what happened back the spirit world, she'll eventually remember!

Can't even listen to this song without bursting into tears. I watched Spirited Away in my grandparents' house a long time ago. My grandfather, who was blind, said he didn't follow the show at all but he loved this song at the end. I manually rewound the tape many times so he could listen to it on "loop". Miss you so much gong gong.

BECAUSE IT ALL HAPPENED IN HER MIND, that's the true plot, every clue points to it being in her mind, it's very loosely based on the Wizard of Oz, there's even the good and bad witch! the scarecrow who has no brain = haku who can't remember his own name, but he remembers in the end, the tin man with no heart = kaonashi, with no soul, devouring others to try to have a soul, but it finds out in the end he didn't need to eat anyone and found himself by being around Chihiro, the lion without courage was actually chichiro herself, who found courage and risked everything to save the people she loved

When I was nine, my mother had her hands full with six children. Luckily, there was our neighbor Rebecca. Rebecca, 39, had no children, so I had her full attention. She taught me simple things, like how to care for my teeth, how to take a bath properly she used to bake cake for us and allow us to pick flowers and fruits on her garden. She taught me also big things, like a love of long walks, how to hold anger and how to longer your patience. Unfortunately as she gets older doctors found out she has a cancer. A year after, heaven took Rebecca from us. I want you all to know that angels were true. I'll remember her forever, she has a special space in our hearts.

When I was young, this movie was shown on TV. I did not know its name. For years I tried to find out its name, but with time I completely forgot about it. Ten years later, I had a math exam, I was worried and nervous about it, so I decided to search on KZread for relaxing music, and I found this song at the top of the list, it was an indescribable joy. I went for the test and did well. I came back from school and decided to watch the movie, that day was one of my best days in my life

Went to Japan with my girlfriend last month. It was kind of a road trip. As I was driving, I remembered she played this song countless of times on the stereo. Felt it was nice, but didn’t give it much thought. A few days later we were flying home. As I lapsed in an out of consciousness, the melody just come up in my head out of nowhere so I asked her the name of the song and told her to play it again. Just like that, tears just came out of nowhere. Yep, this song made a full grown man unexplainably cry on the plane. I don’t wanna just call it beautiful. It’s more than that. God I miss Japan. 🇯🇵🇯🇵

You know what's beautiful? I've seen this movie countless times since my childhood and this at the ending has always been my favorite piece of the soundtrack closely followed by Sixth Station. I never bothered to look up the lyrics until now and even though I didn't *know* the meaning of the song, I still *felt* it and every word fits perfectly as to what I felt when hearing it. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about the power of love communicated universally through music in all languages. God bless whoever is listening to this, you are in touch with your soul if you are moved by this because it transcends the material world.

The sweetness, depth and beauty of this song is unparalleled. "when a mirror is broken, shattered pieces scattered to the ground...Glimpses of a new life, reflected all around..".Just WOW.

I think Chihiro forgotten everything like a dream. But I think their promise will not be broken. The lesson they've learned and feeling for each other will never be forgotten. Because just like Baba Yaga's twin sister said, love brings them together. So even if Haku doesn't remember anything when he comes out of the spirit world, fate will make them keep their feeling for each other instead of the memories they had. That would be cool if it was fate that will make their promise come true, meeting up in somekind of magical, awkward, accident. They will share all the myths and legends they had felt during their spiritual adventures together to their children, just like our grandparents do sometimes. And when they get old and pass away from the material world, they can go back to the spirit world and remember the memories they had lost when they were young. They will laugh, cry, relive their memories and be happy together forever in both worlds with new spirits, people and new adventures that will come in the future, meeting no face, Baba Yaga, and other old friends they had. For now, she has to survive school.... prison.... aheemmm... XD

Memories of boring afternoons

This song has helped me a lot, especially in 2022 when people are quite toxic and everytime I listen to this song and other spirited away songs it just helps me to realize I should enjoy the time I have left and see the good in this world not the bad and it almost brings me back to my early childhood. I absolutely love the Japanese people and culture for their delicacy in approaching everything, from music to food and even manners. This song is wonderful and now I want to watch the movie so much!

When my brother passed away, a week later KZread recommended this song to me. It's so timely and it's the first time i hear this song. The lyrics & melody really speak of my grief. My brother died of sudden heart attack. When i heard the lyrics " As i bid goodbye, my heart stops... my silent empty body..." i really really cried. This song brings me pain and solace at the same time.

It's perplexing how one of the greatest compositions (possibly) was embedded within a kid's film. The meaning and message that comes with every Studio Ghibli film is profound and very, very intricate. This is philosophy and emotions being entwined and served on a platter as life lessons. Cannot even begin to imagine the depth Miyazaki possesses. Genius can sometimes truly be understated.

When I first heard this song, I didn't understood but I always thought its a motivating song to gives you light admist of darkness. When I saw the lyrics in english, it really is. The hope is always with us inside.

This song reminds me of my first love when I said goodbye to him. It's strange how this song makes you feel like you're lost somewhere far from reality.

I think the train scene is an allegory to growing up and the loss of childhood, which is why the bittersweet melancholy of this music fits it so well. Chihiro finds herself all of a sudden with many responsibilities from family and friendship and she takes them on gladly, but you can’t help but feel it is the beginning of the end for the child inside Chihiro. She is surrounded by shadows of adults, each with their own silent story to tell as if a reminder of what is being lost in the quest to provide for and protect those you love. The scene bears resemblance to another train scene early from anther Ghibli masterpiece, Hotaru no Haka or Grave of the Fireflies

For me, this song is about reincarnation and it says that even if you are separated from those you love in this life, feelings will always reunite you with them eventually, so that you are never alone. And when I saw it like that, I felt comfort.

As a child I made my dad watch this with me so many time I can’t count. We’d watch it, then rewind the VCR and watch it again. I decided then this is the song I would have him walk me down the aisle to. Sadly cancer took him from me a little over two years ago so I wasn’t able to make that happen. So now reading what the lyrics mean hit me. I don’t share my feelings much so I decided to do it on a KZread comment. 🤣💕 but what a beautiful song. 💕

I wish i could live in a ghibli anime Wake up in the morning with the sound of nature ,walking through the totoro forest and working with chihiro ,playing with ponyo in the sea , watching sunset with the sound of seiji’s violin , watching planes in the sky 🌌, I believe someday in somewhere i will do these things but not in a ghibli anime it will be in my real life.

I wanted to get into anime, and so I watched this, because indeed, I saw a lot of praise about it online. And after watching it the first time, I immediately rewatched a second time, and a third, and even a fourth. It immediately became my favority movie of all time.

Listening to this just feels like that one vivid memory you have when you were young and you were watching this on a television either the sub or dub. What a wonderful memory and feeling

No Face becoming friendly and helpful is the purest childhood thing ever. A child can imagine the worst possible person becoming good again.

This song makes my lips smile, my heart hurt, and my eyes full of tears. This song just made me remember all things, and every person that had disappeared. 😭

When my niece died from cancer in the midst of the pandemic, I had not been able to see her for two years and this song became my comfort song. I miss you, Amanda, and I'll always be your aunt

I remember watching this movie like 10 times with my dad on cable on demand as a small kid. We loved this movie together ❤ Some of the best of memories of my dad 😭

This song is connecting to "my Chihiro". This was one of her favorite anime. She is far far away in her way. But She will be there forever in the deep down of my heart. Even I dunno why am I commenting this. 🖤

I have anxiety problems that affect my stomach because I get more nervous and anxious for fear that I will feel sick at some point. But this video helps me a lot, I swear, it makes me calm down and feel a lot better, as now, my anxiety and nervousness are gone, thank you so much! ❤

I think the word "masterpiece" is not enough to describe the beauty of Spirited Away

The song is all about moving on and moving forward, and to always think of the bright side.

All the dislikes come from persons who were crying so much that they couldn't see the difference between the like and the dislike.

I remember the first time I watched this I was 14. I was really amused by its story because I like discovering weird and beautiful things back then. I remember crying when the movie ends, it really made me felt sad finishing it. Afterwards I told my internet friend about it. Now, I am 17. I started rewatching Ghibli films and I am amazed by its visuals and story I always end up teared-eye or crying or stunned of how beauty the details are in these masterpieces. I just finished Spirited Away and I end up crying real hard in the end and I just admired this piece of art 😭💗 I told the same internet friend of mine back then about it. I just want to say these Ghibli films made me felt a lot of beauty in life. A really big thank you for the creators of these films. I know all of us are bad when it comes in finishing these films. I'll never forget this part of my life. Thank you. I hope we live our lives happy and free.
