Watching again in 2024 this is definitely a nostalgia trip! 2015 doesn't seem that long ago but it was nearly 10 years agon now which is crazy! Its nice to remember how the park used to be and the magic it had back then without some of the newer developments we have today and hearing your thoughts back then compared to how the park ended up being! But 2024 is the year of the coaster so its looking to be a good year for the park as well as parks across the country!

Nice to see your mum have a cameo in a vlog!

Love Alton Towers, my favourite uk theme park by far. Where else could you experience such great rides in the amazingly beutiful landscape it's located in?

Great Vlog as always! From the looks of the weather, I'm glad we were in the waterpark that day! Tuesday and Wednesday were nice and dry. We saw the Octonauts ride testing, looks like a fun coaster for little ones. Now I just have to wait until May for our next visit! *sigh* lol.

Can't believe this is nearly 5 years ago! Plus, I just noticed, when I saw Toadstool I thought, if they stuck some seating on top, that'll make it a Family Gyro Drop Tower aha 😂 Literally looks like a Gyro Family Drop Tower when in maintenance... RIP Toadstool 😢

I was at TP earlier and one thing I said was that there would be no one from Shawns "clan" and I saw Chris Franklin, just couldn't bring myself to say hi!

I really enjoyed this vlog c: I was wondering, I'm going to the park on the opening day and the next few days after, how busy is the park usually? I went during July last year and it was very busy, I was hoping it wouldn't be too bad this time. :)

the railing on smiler are there so if it gets evaced they can be slotted in on the left hand side of the catwalk where the gaps in between the trains are so gussets dont have to put on harnesses to walk down

I do hope they finally put some sort of reasonable wheelchair access to the congo river rapids... Do you know if they did anything for wheelchair access for Smiler?

i was wondering what you do about you glasses when you go on a ride? do you take them off to use some thing to keep them attached to your head? i love going on ride but ever since I've got glasses I'm not sure what to do because i can't see if i take them off

When I went to Alton Towers Oblivion was closed, Rita was closed and Thirteen broke down 😞 but it was two weeks after the smiler opened and I got 3 rides on it and got 5 on Nemesis

It would be cool if Alton towers got a floorless coaster in 2016/2017. They could make it like nemesis with small tight inversions and uses the terrain like nemesis (you would go into a ditch then above land then ground level then into a ditch then above land then into a ravine etc)

Or have something like swarm (from thorpe). And put that near nemesis. And have the seats twist about which is different to swarm. And maybe be a European first?

yugioh guy No, they should have a GCI wooden rollercoaster which hugs the terrain, goes through tunnels and has plenty of ejector and floater air time in my opinion. Or a terrain hugging RMC.

O.O 3:52 - I did hear that a ride could go around the area near Sub Terra and Nemesis, but I dunno. 6:18 - Why don't you like Air? :o 19:00 - It might be a weak coaster but it's really damn popular. I guess it's not very efficient though, so that'd add to the queue. 24:00 - 1.5 years ago (it opened), not 3 :P

Well there is, The Octonauts one, but deffinataly not a large scale thrill one, but if they keep to the 3 year large thrill coaster plan, then we should/coukd see one in 2016!!!
