So how has Nemesis been Reborn? Here's just a few of the enhancements: - All track and supports replaced from the top of the lift hill to the brake run. - Refurbished and repainted trains. - New ride control system. - New colour scheme. - Repair and refurbishment of the alien station building with a new design and addition of the new eye. - Completely new queue line now utilising the top of the hill for a great view. - New soundtrack. - New theming around the ride and neighbouring Forbidden Valley area. - The layout was one of the world's best anyway, so there was no need to change it, and this was never advertised.

I like how you stopped the new one at the top of the lift hill to wait for the old one to catch up 😂😂

@@danielledewitt1 well, technically, all of it is new except for the main part of the nemesis body and the chain-lift, station and break-run pieces, as i think they were repainted and the chain-lift sped up, as when i went on galactica in the 2023 season and it was stopped on the chain-lift due to a phone user, those were the few remaining parts (the tentacles were there i think though)

Loved Nemesis, but for me the brake run was too harsh of a jolt - perhaps getting too old now. So pleased to hear it's been made smoother.

Thanks for sharing this, after watching the comparison you can tell what a fantastic job B&M have done with new track, you can tell a couple transitions are slightly different, but the pacing is spot on. My only worry is the new trains has that slight vibration which i hope they can resolve for its longevity. Still best ride in the country.

Yup not as smooth and the helix is different but it makes it more intense I think the sand it the track to damped the noise causes vibrations I find the back row on 1 of the 2 cars quite painful and rattley

​​@@siikliidii3380 that is a poor analogy in terms of context. A better analogy would be buying a new pair of trainers that look exactly the same as your last pair. Also, there is nothing wrong with refurbishing an old rollercoaster because it's getting rusty and bumpy. Doing this means Nemesis has another 20+ years of runtime instead of being retired. That's a big deal.

Its a shame they havent revamped the terrain. The red waterfall and pit was all part of the attraction. It looks like a putrid puddle now.

While the ride itself seems smoother and probably safer, I think the theming of it now looks too clean. I know a lot of the surrounding woodland area is probably to do more with age than theme, but the ride being surrounded by unkept trees and foliage makes it feel engrossing. Now it just looks like security rails and cement.

If you can get your eyes to do the “Magic Eye” thing (fusing the two separate images into one) you can almost get a 3D version of it! Thanks for posting!

I've been trying to get myself to be able to understand Magic Eye for a couple of months now. Yes, Months. It's pretty cool though.

Its amazing that the queue line now looks horrible in the original Nemesis shot and you don't get smoke over the station and in the tunnel and also the maintenance bay the station looks different. It has definitely had an upgrade

Clearly the speed of the new lift hill is slightly quicker, but other than that, it seemed to be pretty much the same. It’s still a great ride!😊

So all that’s different is you get to the top faster and a few smoke bits? That after a while won’t be used anyway?

I don't know why anyone expected any different. It's been plain as day from the start that nemesis was just getting a re-track. Why that would mean any result other than basically exactly the same ride is a mystery to me.

Some of the transitions have definitely been reprofiled. The first corkscrew is so much whippier, the helix following is tighter, there’s some snap into the overbank, and there’s a weird transition right over the path right after the loop.

Nope. I've ridden both and can confidently say the old nemesis felt faster, smoother and more intense. But maybe reborn just needs to settle in a bit more, as I went to towers yesterday and it was already a whole lot better than it was on opening day

They’re exactly the same ride, but one is newer with newer track technology - so yeah, it’s smoother, but where people are saying either of the rides are better is ridiculous because they share exactly the same layout

They replaced all the track and 89 of the 117 supports. So it's a bit more than a repaint.

The one on the left looks like it has using the new FallOut filter.

B&M manufacture the running rails in Europe, and then ship them to Ohio for Clermont Steel to add them to the track spine and cross ties once complete. Not sure why it’s not all done in Ohio, potentially quality control.

@AttractionSource interesting, thanks for the info. I assume the rails are shipped to the US in straight lengths and then deformed into shape at the Claremont factory. If you look on Google maps, there looks to be lots of straight lengths of rail at the back of the Claremont factory. I wonder if the same rail tubing is shared across different manufacturers and just the spine of the track is different.

How is it that the creativeness of the old massively outweighs the new? It's a trend in all sectors now.

I believe its because B&m no longer build the parts required for maintenance of the original track. They were left with two options, tear it down or replace all the track. They went with the latter (partly because it's so popular and, i suspect, partly because it's cheaper than building something new)

I don’t care about the rebranding bs, all I care about is AT knowing that metal fatigue is a thing and they’ve given a legendary coaster design another 30 years to exist.

Because it's smoother and that somewhat reduces the perception of speed.

So not a lot different. In a way I'm glad, I love that ride, and you can't get the feel from a video :)

So......they painted it black?

As anyone who has owned a black car will know, the new paint job is going to be far less forgiving than the original. I think they’ve made a mistake with the colour scheme. I hope they keep up with the maintenance on the turnstile area as that does look good bathed in red light but it’s going to look diabolical if they ignore the LEDs failing.

I like Nemesis but it's too short for the amount of time you spend waiting in line.

I thought they'd completely changed the track layout. Guess not.

I love the Nemesis ride, but if you think about it, you probably queue for over an hour and the ride is finished in 2 mins. I know my wife wouldn't be happy with that sort of performance.
