Alternative Shapes in Cinema 4D - Changing the mesh structure procedurally

In this tutorial I show how you can create alternative forms with different deformers and object tools. I also show how you can work with Dual Graph (voronoi) procedurally.
By using some easy tricks you can create many different forms.

haha, yes absolutely! it's just finding some new function that changes the mesh, and you have a totally new result. I know Merk is coming soon with a tool that does this for you, so more possibilities are soon here:) kzread.info/dash/bejne/nomZqJaGlLPgf6w.html

Yes, I have two simple x-particles and Arnold tuts. I don't use x-particles that much in my daily work, so that's why it's not highly saturated in my KZread feed. But if I discover something interesting with XP that can be helpful to other users I will share that :)

Hi! Yes, you can expand stroke from mesh edge. Select the edge, and go to Mesh/Commands/Edge to spline. Use Sweep Nurb with a n-Side and your good to go :) And thanks for asking!

Great! That's amazing! I also got some interesting results by placing our object with the modified mesh as a source for voronoi fracture i.gyazo.com/5f62b602d3b8d2eaabf289d42a488291.png Works for volumetric objects and it's procedural

If achieve the mesh making, how to render it out ??

hehe, that's up to you and your preferred choice of solution. The cover is made with a gold material with an HDRi, and by bending the plane you see more of the reflection from the HDRi sky. The examples at the end of the video is a typical studio setup with one key light that create shape and highlight, in this case from down left. And one fill from the right that fills the shape so nothing goes into total black in the shadows. The pattern has a material that are really glossy, so a little bit of roughness and a the back plain has a diffuse material with a lot of roughness. I like using Arnold but you can make this with whatever renderer today. Good luck!
