@@secondhandreactions The live version of Murder of the Universe at Red Rocks 2022 is pretty good. 44mins of bliss.You've got to check out the lyrics for it all, crazy. To get munted means to get really drunk etc and vomit in Oz slang which will help out interpreting soy protein munt machine

easily one of my favorite gizz kexp sessions next to the ITRN one from 2019, this rendition of altered beast III gives me chills every time

Oh this is one of my alltime favourite king gizz performances. Largely thanks to Stu’s unhinged energy and the bass on Altered beast II

YES! Ive been hoping yall would get around to MOTU!

This suite (as the host Cheryl Waters said) is from Murder Of The Universe, one of my all time favorite King Gizzard records. The album is divided into 3 chapters, The Tale of The Altered Beast (this one), The Lord of Lightning vs. Balrog and Han-Tyumi and the Murder of The Universe. The latter 2 have music videos for the entire suite, which makes me wish this had a music video too. This performance actually removes 3 tracks from the suite, those being A New World, Altered Beast I and Life/Death, probably due to time constraints and so they could make the previous track transition into this. For reasons I will not spoil, this whole album is better on the record than in most live versions (in my opinion.) Though I'm pretty sure theres a few live versions with what the studio version has. Amazing performance.

The only thing missing from this live version is the spoken word from Leah Senior. If you listen to the album version it takes a switch from just pure energy to a more story telling approach
