Great choice, even greater song!

This is the final track on Gumboot Soup, their 13th album, 5th and final of 2017. I'm pretty sure this is and Muddy Water are the only two songs you've listened to from the album. It's a grab-bag album, sequel to Oddments and predecessor of Omnium Gatherum, and despite being a December album (specifically December 31st) it has a very summery vibe, Muddy Water just being about how much Stu hates the beach. There's a few notable differences between the KEXP performance and the studio version. Near the end of the KEXP version, there's a big explosion with Stu doing this cool wah pedal stereo panning thing and Amby screaming, while the studio version doesn't have that. Instead, the ending of the track gets faster and faster, and eventually starts looping. That ending loop goes into the runout groove on the vinyl, so it just keeps playing and the song doesn't end until you stop it. Some people didn't even realise the song was looping for about 10 minutes.
