Altea is a small and pretty town, located in the region of Alicante on the Costa Blanca, just 11 kilometres away from the lively holiday destination of Benidorm, yet the two resorts are very different. Altea offers tranquil and scenic athmosphere with beautiful pebble beaches, and amazingly blue water sea. Its charming old town is perched on top of a hill from where you will enjoy spectacular views. The old town is a maze of steep cobblestone alleys and whitewashed houses, as well as restaurants, shops and cafes. Here you will find the symbol of the city - the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Consuelo Altea ( Church of Our Lady of Consolation of Altea ).
Altea has excellent amenities for your relaxing holiday, however, if you want vibrant nightlife and to mix socially, you should go to Benidorm.

Having lived here for some years, yes it is a lovely place and video shows it off beautifully but no mention of the marina or the area around there.

Sí, fue muy tranquilo. El video es filmado a finales de junio. La gente estaba en Benidorm
How sad and pathetic is to watch the beautiful surroundings, the sea and the clear blue sky and sheeple outside, walking with cloths on their faces.

Yes its really queit but i should also say that its pretty boring. There is no sand beach in Altea, all of them are rock. Nights are just eat maybe 1-2 drink and no more.. but if you want to just relax its ok

Yes, the place is just to relax. If you want party and nightlife, Benidorm is not far.
We are here now staying in an apartment 27 april 2023.
