Subscribe! Over the Christmas holiday the Wasatch got about 6 feet of snow, making for incredible ski conditions. We got out a few times during the storm, but this past weekend the clouds went away and we were left with a sunny powder day! We skinned up the Emmas ridge and then traversed over to ski the slopes of Honeycomb.

Awesome video! This has my whole family pumped for our trip from Maine to Solitude this month. We are going to be in the resorts…we have backcountry gear but no Avalanche gear so probably will not skin, unless there are side country or low angle lines. Our eastern uphill is for glades and no Avalanche risk:). Next season we will come prepared with all the gear and training:) then we will hunt down some of the lines in your awesome videos!

Nice! Speaking of parking, Alta is now charging $40 / day for parking at the resort. Other major resorts are also charging for parking 😧

It's ridiculous, and really horrible how they're limiting dawn patrol access for public land users
The "glue" part of the day's description - is that referring to the snow sticking to the skins when you have a short down hill section?

Yes or sticking the bottom of our ski bases, even worse!
Hello. Never skied before. Looking to get in to it. I am 5'9". What would I be looking for in a pair of skis? I would like to get used gear as well. Thanks!

Awesome! I would recommend something like the Salomon QST 95, you can probably find that used somewhere too!

Nice snow. Hip swinging is a little dated as a skiing style! Pole plants with knee bends is control !
