I've decided to make my brother an alpha bracelet with no prior bracelet making experience. I dunno why, challenging myself? So anyway, it's a pattern with 25 strings and I decided to give it this teardrop loop, and while I definitely made some mistakes and had to undo like, 20 knots, it still looks pretty decent and my mom says mine looks just like the video 😂😂 so it was easy enough to follow. Thank you! X

I've been considering making an alpha bracelet lately (as a way to use up my variegated thread) and when I've looked at pictures of them and seen them with the double tapered ends like this I thought it was the technique you showed in your alpha triangle ends video. I'm so glad this video came out before i started an alpha because while I think that technique could still work, I like this one a lot more. thanks for sharing this with us!

What about when you have an even number but it splits into two odd numbers (for example 18 splits into 9 and 9). Then each side is odd.

I just came across this exact problem. What I did was in each split of 9, i separated them into 4 & 5. The first time I leave out 2 strings (8:27), i only do it on the side with 5. At the end, I added one knot where there was a bit of space. The triangle is not as perfect as if it was even and there are some holes but it works if you've already started this and don't want to untie everything. Hope this helps!

This might be dumb but 15 strings doubled is 30 so how come she says 31 base strings? I have 34 including my base string and I am so confused because should I just make it 36 so I have 18 on either end?
