A lot of the time i feel like it’s super normalized for black men to treat black women (and sometimes women in general) pretty badly. This is why I date woman.

I have decided to be men free. I'm teaching my daughters to also be male free unless a man actually adds to their life in a provable way, not just oh, he's cute or he says he loves me but does he clean, or cook, or help with bills, all of which you as a woman are expected to do. It is dangerous for women to date men and we have a lot more to lose, like our lives. A lot of women stay in miserable relationships with males who repeatedly show they do not actually care about them. We are taught to prioritize everyone but ourselves and I will no longer waste my life on men who make me miserable, abuse me, cheat on me, disrespect me and sadly more of them do those things than don't. I've had three serious relationships, two physically abused me and one cheated. It's just not worth it. In these relationships I was the only one cooking, cleaning, taking care of our kid/kids (in two of them relationships 6 yrs apart), and in one of those the only one paying bills, in the other his grandparents paid the bills, so what was I gaining from those relationships? Absolutely nothing but lowered self esteem. Men expect to gain a lot from their relationships with women, why are we belittled when we want to do the same?
