I think the mis conception is that this is okay, unknowingly dealing with "ancient spirits" and free masonary. Yes there are christians involved. ..... because some 1, has convinced them its okay. Old school approval, Ladies. Very classy show! Regarding the comments about the chants, it’s all about being proud of oneself and having fun. No different than classic “yo mama jokes” or “playing the dozens”. I haven’t met a sorority girl who doesn’t have family and friends who belong to a different sorority. When it’s all said and done it’s about the Divine 9 and all other historically Black organizations that promote excellence, sisterhood and brotherhood. I’m gonna side-eye anyone NOT apart of the Divine 9 throwing shade (is that what you young folks call it? LOL) at one of my DST, SGR, or ZPB sisters. @@2BGMedia the last few years there have been light skins a lot but in 16 it was plenty of dark skin women but you begin to notice a trend but i don't its just based on looks tho cuz their pledges in 16 were majority darker but very gorgeous. But growing up i did think it was weird when i saw a video of only light skins but i think it was just one year

I wish I would have taken the opportunity to go off to college and participate in a sorority like this. You can tell that these ladies are multi talented and are there to take care of each other. For the commenters who have an issue with the chants; do you not realize that all sororities do this? It's just a part of this life. This light competition between each other and banter is healthy and fun. It's just the same as rooting for your basketball team of choice or something similar. Great job ladies. I really enjoyed watching. This was the first AKA video I've ever watched and I am so glad I did!

My auntie is one, too. there may be more but they are who my mom gushes about lol. it's now being passed down to me, and my family is getting me prepped for it, learning dances, steps, getting pink and green things such as the accessories they used. I love my family!!!😁
