    🚨READ THIS REGARDING THE "CUTE AND LIGHTSKINNED" COMMENT: I just wanted to add more context to the "cute and light skinned" comment for those that are inquiring. When I was growing up, the stereotype for AKAs were indeed that they were pretty and lighter skinned. (And the Deltas were stereotyped at dark toned and unattractive). So, I fed into the stereotype as well and initially wanted to pledge AKA in college. But I was very surprised that the Deltas (at UH) were pretty and the women were all different color tones. (They also ran the yard so that added to my reason to pledge Delta instead of AKA). The colorist stereotypes for the orgs are not right but they are definitely a thing. And many still pledge a certain org because of the stereotypes. 🙏🏽 🚨HOW TO DENOUNCE AND RENOUNCE: www.outfromamongthem.com/resources 🚨FOLLOW GEUNIA ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/geunia.smith.3 🚨SIGN-UP FOR MY WOMEN'S MINISTRY: The King's Daughters Ministry 👑 www.thekingsdaughters.co

    Conditioning them to be subordinate should they later be called to complete certain acts. It’s breaking them to build them back up. They will only feel validated by whomever builds them up. It’s psychological. This is why I personally always felt ppl in these organizations usually have low self esteem. Rarely are they real leaders. They are subordinates who can only move in numbers and NOT as individuals. Thankfully these women are waking up.

    When I renounced Sigma Gamma Rho last month I repented to anyone I intimidated while bringing them into the sorority AND anyone I cooperated with to intimidate another woman while calling myself a Christian. Since I denounced after 30 years (much like yourself, I made God my choice then He revealed to me the error I was in) my childhood best friend denounced DST after 32 years, and my friend denounced SGRho after 17 years- just that quickly. Other women have also contacted me to let me know they had regretted NOT joining a sorority but after watching my video they understand that it was of God. GOD IS DELIVERING HIS CHILDREN FROM DARKNESS. He who has ears to hear, LET THEM HEAR. I am praying and walking in love towards those who are still in GLO's.

    I avoided joining a fraternity simply because I thought it literally appeared to demean men & women of color, and further promoted a disconnect from the educational experience and worst further segregated African Americans into cliques (on campuses where we are woefully underrepresented or even admitted ! ) when “alternatively “ we desperately need to be more unified on university campuses and in the broader world as well. I recall someone suggesting that if I pledged alpha, that it was recommended to date a specific sorority of women - which was absolutely stupid to me? That after growing up in the hood , becoming the Junior class and Student Body President- in an affluent nearly all Caucasian high school , and at same time battling all the obstacles to attend a UC Cal school (against all odds!). I’m now suppose to become subservient to a group of silly guys with racial or personal identity issues, let them hit me or abuse me - to join their clique - ridiculous! Real leaders “lead” with grace and kindness, and not with abuse, fear of rejection , ridicule , or subjugation & control . Sorry, as a child God I was only going to follow Jesus Christ’s and the Holy Spirits leadership. Didn’t need affirmation from a fraternity - then ,or now , or require any other human beings to convince me that “I belong” ?? I grew up amongst an amazing and resilient community of African American people , and I love me , and those people, and also love & appreciated my broad community of Caucasian classmates & teachers as well in the 1970-1980s and to this day for their support guidance and sacrifices . I’m sure that original concepts was beautiful , well meaning , and helpful towards promoting progress, but saddened by present practices (like dancing suggestively and sexually to demeaning music)-and worse segregating themselves in deeds and actions from the true unification of all people of color , and even more-so with entire world around us (all nationalities). Glad that I didn’t pledge , and instead exercised my true power of independent thought, affirming individuality , and being a brother to everyone in Christ Jesus ! Amen .

    What’s even more sad is how encouraged joining these organizations are in the churches. Pastors and First Ladies, deacons, members all wearing their letters and training up the younger children to eventually do the same. The more I read the Bible the more I unlearn a lot of what man has taught. God’s word is true wisdom!

    It’s a rebirthing ritual, u are crossing from no letters to lettered, u are expected to be loyal to the letters above all else…which is why there are so many hymns (and they call them hymns, religious song, by definition it’s been called a hymn since day 1) about putting nothing before your sisters or your letters, and make sure you marry a man with letters. It’s crazy people are calling it something else.

  • @lanevaw

    @lanevaw

    4 ай бұрын

    @michelleyoga87 Hymns are spiritual and are only to be sung unto the Lord. And God tells us not to make vows and oaths to anyone else but Him. If you get a chance, read Matt 5:33-37. I was a part of SGRho since Spr 1997. I just renounced and got my official renouncing letter from the organization on Feb 6th. I asked God to reveal to me what was in my life that wasn't like Him. I asked Him to show me what was hindering me in my life. Well, it wasn't even a few days later when a denouncing video popped up in my YT feeds. I was not looking for anything like that. I still didn't watch the video immediately. And more videos kept popping up but again I still didn't watch them. Finally, one day I hear, watch it! And after that I just wanted to understand more, and more, and more about what I had done in the spiritual realm. So, if you remember that everything is spiritual, you'll realize it's either good or bad, there is no gray area. God's Word tells us in Ephesians 6:10-20, verse 12, He tells us we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, etc. We are spiritual beings housed in a body, and having a human experience, not human beings having a spiritual experience. I pray your heart will be open to hearing the truth and seeing the truth so your soul can be set free if you're a part of any Secret society organization. There are so many videos that have been made that are so eye opening if one is willing to hear. I pray the Lord will open all spiritual ears and eyes of those who have come across this video, in Jesus name, Amen.

I had the opportunity to join a sorority but I clearly saw drastic changes in the women who joined and God said if you do this, you will never be the same. Yep it is a thing and when my mother pledged AKA they let her in because she was an attractive brown skin girl so she was "good enough"😮 now because I'm Legacy I didn't have to do all of that I literally had to just pay my money and be what they call paper. I went to the interest meeting but I didn't tell anybody that I was Legacy. They weeded people out & those that were left were told to come back. I'm a brown skin girl and I made the cut. It was based on looks because it was only maybe 3 dark skin girls. I was so excited and then boom nationally AKA ended up being suspended because 3 girls drowned out in California in the ocean. So there is no such thing as a 2001 two or three AKA as a result of this. By the time 04 Came I was knee-deep in my last year of nursing school and I didn't have time for that s***. Although I was going to be paper, I'm still glad God fixed it that I didn't get the opportunity.💯

Once again another act of God's love for us. But one thing God does to his children is discipline them. I appreciate God's discipline because it resets us back on the way of truth, life, and revelation. There is a reason why God is called "Long-suffering" because of his patience. Not in, nor have I ever been Greek, but I like watching these stories because I remember wanting to pledge so bad in college, not even understanding what I would have been getting myself into. It’s important these stories come out (and to the women/men who are strong enough to share, thank you) so that other young men and women don’t get themselves entangled in something they don’t understand. A big take away is when you said God said “before you didn’t know, but now you know!” Whew those convictions can be so tough to have to face because God basically puts the ball in our court to watch what we’re gonna do with it. Great testimony!

He allowed me to pledge graduate chapter in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Little did I know that God came to me in 2019 and I ignored him. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Well, he came back again on January 24th of 2022. I had know idea God wanted me out the sorority. I denounced in January of 2022 and renounced my membership to Delta in May of 2022. God’s grace and mercy is always available to us. Thank you for the awesome testimony! It blessed my soul. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Geunia, I want to tell you as I watched your testimony I felt The Lord say he had you marked from the beginning. You will never fit in with certain people even in the church … Hallelujah… I feel God right now saying you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a special people set apart for God’s use. I hear The Lord saying you have lost NOTHING but gained everything… Hallelujah… Praise God. The enemy thought he had you but you Got Away… Glory To God. It’s time Geunia, as you were set free from the hand of the enemy… go and strengthen your sisters who are in the bandage of the enemy. Whatever the bondage may be. You have ministry in you I see it … God has always had his hands on you and don’t let you go. You are apart of the remnant God is calling us to be holy and set apart for HIS Glory… Hallelujah. I want to leave this scripture with you… Romans 8:1 There is now… No condemnation to Those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after The Spirit. Be Encouraged Sisters… The devil tried but God has you set apart for HIS special Use. The enemy had a plan BUT God had a BIGGER PLAN in store. I like to say I would rather fight than switch 😂😂. Be Encouraged Sisters and know God has a plan for us. Be strong In The Lord and The Power of His Might..Amen. Good Content👏👏🙌🙌💯🔥❤

    I too used to want to be a part of a sorority but I never went through with it, it just didn’t feel right. The girl that approached me came to me with the idea of building friendships but 1, I never thought I needed a sorority to do that and 2 I never felt the need to be included. I was content with who I was and didn’t want ppl to think I needed their validation cause I didn’t. But it does make me wonder if what goes on in sororities now was the original intent of the women who founded these sororities. Was cult behavior always a part of Greek culture or did that happen over time. It’s crazy to think cult tactics and corruption can overshadow the true values of a thing that was initially meant for good.

    I pledged AKA in Oregon. It was a school with not many black folks. 😂. 2008, I crossed then 2019, I denounced. I praise God that I didn't have to go through the process of most. They always clowned our chapter for being "paper" but I didn't care. 😂 It's funny cause even when I crossed someone mentioned it was "for life" and I said to myself, "not if God tells me to leave." And what end up happening? 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉 I thought I fasted about it prior to joining but I didn't hear from God neither yes or no. So, I just "assumed" it was okay. But it wasn't. It's funny because the girls were really mean girls. Even if we had another chapter "down the street" we all talked about each other behind their backs. Always had to have come to Jesus meetings with our grad advisor just a mess. I had to repent to a young lady even when I was still apart because of what was said about her. 😢 My mom never liked the idea cause my Grandpa and uncle were "Masons". So glad many are coming out...praying more obey. 🙏

    I spent 3 years at my university in undergrad attending the events, kissing up to the girls and rearranging my classes to make sure I was full time even though I was a senior and needed to be focused on graduating...for them to not have a line AT ALL. From what I heard, they didn't have enough active members. It was finally my last semester and word on the street was that they were doing a underground line and the girls I "befriended" didn't say a word. I was heartbroken but I wasn't even full time at that point and was interning so I knew it wasn't met to be. Maybe a month later (a month or 2 before graduation), the line was dropped and the remaining members graduated with me. It was a blessing in disguise because I would have forfeited my internship and everything if I had the chance. I felt bad for the girls tho. Time wasted. Long story short, they died off on campus and didn't come back until I was in grad school. The girls in for forefront were from freshman's that were there that were now seniors. I never wasted so much of my time to have nothing to show for it. It was a humbling and learning experience for me. Now I can say, I'm happy with it little life and career I have 😊 and I'm not letting no org take credit for it.

    Christians should not follow church leaders that are part of these organizations. Greek life is rooted in the occult and occult principles. The way one gets initiated, the policing of one’s life, the types of ceremonies and how it’s conducted, how one gets invited, etc. is just like in secret societies like skull & bones, freemasonry, eastern star etc. it’s demonic. When you join Greek life, you come into agreement with the spirits behind it. And it ain’t the Holy Spirit. Ministers who are part of these organizations either lack serious discernment and wisdom (which is enough for me to not follow them), but also cuz many “church leaders” are actually Satanists on assignment to take churches down. The church has been infiltrated long ago. These same Satanists preach messages that lead people astray, tickle peoples ears to weaken them, and even teach Sunday school to kids to plant seeds of lies and twisting scripture. This isn’t something Christians want to consider cuz they’ve been so blocked and programmed unknowingly to reject the truth. But it’s time to wake people up.

  • @FransceneJK98
    @FransceneJK983 ай бұрын

    Secret societies and covens also have initiations and rituals in the woods. Greek life is initiation into that same industry without even know that. Without even doing occult things. The overlap between Greek life and the occult is so obvious but people still don’t see it. And if you’re a Christian you should definitely stay away from Greek life and all secret societies. Doesn’t matter if they market themselves as “Christian”

But what I eventually noticed was other Black people treating me "funny", when I moved from Chicago to DC in 1985 to get my 2nd degree. In DC, I first heard of the "brown bag" test. It would still be a few years before I realized that I was seeing frat/sorority people not associating with other Black people. What few friends I had were non-frat people, and trust me, I didn't miss a thing. I didn't need what the frat/sor life was pushing. I never crossed over into a sorority. When I was going to in college, I ended up pregnant and couldn't do it. I now thank God that he didn't allow me to be able to join a sorority. Now when I speak on it on social media, I'm constantly attacked by ppl who have pledge greek. So many ppl have join these groups and are lost. I just pray God reveals it to them jist as he revealed it to me years later.

    So what about the ministers who are in fraternities and sororities? Should people not be following them? Should they be denouncing? With my understanding of it being a spiritual situation.... I want to share this with a few people but they probably would think I was crazy.

    No, do not follow church leaders that are part of these organizations.

    As a Black atheist and non Greek member, the pledging to a god or an organization has always been foreign to me. I try to live my life by being a good person and helping others any way I can. I like your content because I love to learn about different subcultures, religions, and people and is a huge reason why I love to travel to different countries. I don't live in a bubble and I'm open to ideas not of my own if it makes sense for me so being exposed to different ways of life is a great way to learn and grow, whether I incorporate it in my life or not. Humans, as a whole, are a dynamic and fascinating species and I plan to learn as much as I can about as many people as I can. Be well✌🏽

    And I don't understand why black sororities and frats do that mess. They can be so embarrassing. I remember my friend said she had to pledge in a hot abandoned house, they made all the girls that had braids or weave take it out, the girls couldn't relax their hair(back then relaxing was big), they couldn't wear any form of weave, had to drink jalapeño juice, and do all kinds of crazy outlandish things. I remember the guys had to cut their head bald and shave their eyebrows. It makes no sense.

    Why would anyone want to be in a sorority or fraternity? As an adult I never understood. I always wanted to be an individual. I always wanted to stand out on my own. I want people to know me for me ! Also growing up my mother always taught me to not be a follower. Im glad she got out though. When lala spoke about hearing the lord talking to her .. I had something similar happen to me to wake me up. The lord is amazing

    I pledged AKA sophomore year because I wanted to be popular and belong. I didn’t have a lot of friends when I got on campus, so saw this as a way to make new friends. But a lot of the girls were so mean there was division and fighting within 🤦🏾‍♀️ Thankfully I was suspended (falsely accused of being in a brawl when I in the midst trying to break it up) and not allowed to reactivate when I tried due to not taking an anti-hazing class. I have since denounced AKA and repented for joining. All praises to Yahweh!

    I never understand the public denouncing, it is almost as though people need validation. It is interesting that when they went through the initiation process, they kept going. However after joining, they then decide to expose the organization. I find it hard to believe they learned all of their issues after the fact.

    I've never been part of a Greek organization actually as a teenager I was scared to go to college because I thought that you had to be part of a Greek organization. And I didn't want nobody beating me up and abusing me but of course I found out that was not the case. However, it's a choice. I love that you share these testimonies and the stories of individuals coming out of these organizations. I know several people that are part of these organizations, and particularly the deltas and when I tell you these women are so extra why are they extra and snooty? . But anyway I don't know if you can answer this question or if you will even see this comment LaLa. But I know of two women in their 50s that have just pledged sororities. WHY??? AND ONE OF THEM IS A MINISTER😮😮 But anyway thank you so much for these videos. To the young lady that's on your video. Her denouncement was already done in the spirit! God was just waiting for her to catch up in the natural ☺️💕I applaud all of you men and women that are coming out of these organizations. We are royal priesthood, we are set apart come from among them and be ye separate 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💕

    I think they promise them a place of belonging in a world where so many people seek for approval. From outside those sororities look pretty structured and organised and kind of "stable". And a lot of people especially young people don't have this stability in their life, especially when they come to college and need to establish a new circle of friends. The enemy is very strategic. It just shows once again how important it is that we connect our children from an early age with the Holy Spirit, because if they are not filled with the Holy Spirit the "World" will fill them.
