It's not a MID top, it has an ankle gaiter for preventing debris from entering the shoe when RUNNUNG on trails.

I have the trail 3 and I dont like the low cut. They give me blisters because the heel cup is right down at the pointy part of the back of my heel. I appreciate that you commented on the heel cut height. It gives me confidence that these might be better for me.

Good review. Same issue with the tongue being tight on top of the foot. Everything else was what I was looking forward to in this shoe. Unfortunately, the discomfort was bad enough to make the return. The next one Nike makes, they should incorporate elastic for the tongue instead of stitching it to the shoe.

Had these for a few weeks and I'm loving them 👌Super comfortable and they keep me totally dry on rainy days. I liked the trail 3s but the low top design allowed a tiny bit of water to get in if the rain was heavy enough. I'd also recommend going a half size up as going for my true size 11 was a bit too snug for me

These are not waterproof over the laces. if you submerge your leg in water ,water will go in through the laces. goretex does not cover under the laces.

well, these are trail shoes so you need to tie them up properly, can't wear it like hypebeast mode, got mine tied up nicely and they are super comfy, without the laces done up, can't even walk like ultraboost lolz

Nah it doesn’t work, it just depends on the shape of your foot

same issue initially but lacing them up well will even out the pressure of the entire tongue on top of your foot. if you wear them lose like in your video, all the pressure stays in the part where the tongue is attached to the shoe

I got a pair of these. Love them. So soft and light. I use them for walking around in the city. Keeps my feet dry. But found out they’re not great for colder weather. But I do get compliments on them!

Have you done a review on those new balance you mentioned? Wondering if they’re true to size or not.

I have the 3s and after using them over the summer I developed bursitis in my heel because of the padding irritating that spot in my heel. Now I’m afraid to use any shoes that aren’t Huaraches with the ”open” type heel.

Great looking shoe with a great Midsole to bad the upper literally cuts the circulation off my feet.

I bought a pair and I had to exchange them to NIKE because they were very snug on the upper. I received a half size up and they fit great now. No issues with the tongue, for me. The laces are way too long, though, but as your video shows at the beginning, there's a trick to put them away (although they don't look great, though IMHO). Anyway, these are running shoes, as as such, they're great. I bought them to run on trails. I love the Pegasus as a daily trainer, so I figured I'd love the Pegasus Trail and I do. I'd say the transition from road to trail is super smooth. If you love the Pegasus, these trail shoes should be a no brainer, but order a half size up.

Ive got the black #3 and threw them in the washing machine twice and they still look brand new

I just got my pair excited to get a review in and I believe you are right, incredible in here and definitely feels like a new fresh foam x!

I picked up the black pair that I use for disc golfing. I actually had the first version as well and loved those but I’m still torn on these. They are super light and comfy for the most part but I hate the tongue as well. After wearing them for a while outside playing disc golf and after the first day wearing them my left foot definitely hurt where the tongue is fused

Hello mate, I am planning to use these shoes as normal winter shoes. If I am not running like crazy and walking normally, will it work in terms of keeping warm? The city I live in is -10 C° in winter.

Just bought em online today! So excited. I’m actually looking forward to using them as an all-around shoe. I initially wanted to replace doc martens as a waterproof shoe. Ah, and I got them at less than half the regular price 😁

Regarding the issue around the tongue that made you return them: You can solve this! I had this issue too but I really liked everything else about them so wanted to find a solution. And good news. You can very easily remove the stiching on the tongue on one side. This will solve the strain issue acrross the top of the foot and have minimal impact on the waterproofness as there is a more stretchy seam below. There will be a few holes from where the stitches were, but that's no big deal imo.

I just got these the other day I love the shoe but I have that same issue with the tightness on top of my foot. Was thinking about returning but I might see if that quick fix works can anyone explain in detail please?

Loved the comfort and style, go half size up but man... These are not waterproof for long. one started leaking round toes. Poor goretex stitching. Water getting in while walking on wet terrain. Saw site where 30 perc of buyers complain about same problem. Be warned

Are the Adidas Ultraboost GTX waterproof the way you demonstrated, with them unzipped? Good news if so, because they’re pretty snug when zipped, but I thought that was part of the waterproofing

Try popping the insole out of the shoe, it is bound to fit a little better.

I had to cut the stitch holding the tongue on the sides with a razor blade. Let of the pressure from the tongue. Dick's Sporting Goods wouldn't take them back since I wore them. Shoes fit way better now.

will the soles wear down overtime if I use these everyday for casual wear walking on flat surfaces and not trails all the time?

I finally got a pair of these after ruminating on it for basically since this video came out, haha. I went straight to the trail and have to say I’m impressed. I’d consider myself something of a wide footer (true to size in Jordan 1’s but need to go up half a size in the 2). I noticed you do need to keep the tongue straight when putting them on so it doesn’t get scrunched up but overall the comfort is great. I also found you have to maybe double knot the laces so they don’t come undone so easily when you’re on a serious outdoor run. Overall I’m extremely happy with these though. The Gore-Tex was surprisingly not a problem but I did go up a full size to a 12. You definitely can’t just get by with a snug size, gotta try a few on and get exactly the right size or it’ll be unforgiving.

Started waring Nike in 1980. Back before they where cool to ware. I am Finding it harder to find a pair I can ware comfortably. Spoke to a GM and he said that Nike tends to patten the fit to taller and skinny people with longer narrow feet . I am 5,7 150 pounds and I ware a 7 1\2 but with Nike I now have to ware a size 9. Just ordered a pair of these hoping the fit will be ok. I am glad they make them in adult colors I chose Black/Reflect Silver/Wolf Grey.

Thanks for the review. These are under $100 on sale on Nike. Also, I didn't know you can return shoes you wore. I have a pair of Vapormax that I haven't worn because I'm not sure if I want to return lol.

If you have a local Dick’s Sporting Goods, I would buy footwear from them. They have a revised return policy and it is insane. You can return shoes within a 90-day period, no questions asked.

I got a different color way and they fit my foot perfectly, so not sure about the tongue. I did size 1/2 size up from my normal 11 (always have to with Nike). I got more compliments in these today than all other shoes I have ever owned combined.

Picked these up for 99$ during a Nike sale. Immediately returning as that tongue is unreal painful.

I had same problems ordered them few weeks ago with new ultra boost gore tex but gore tex ultra boost are to heavy like 500g per shoe

@@Aj80503 word. Adidas def make some decent shoes. As a trail runner though I’ve found their shoes to be both heavy and perform poorly. The Pegasus Trail line has been a go to for the road to trail community, but sadly Nike has chosen to up their prices drastically and at the same time make worse shoes that appear to not even be tested by runners. My wife got the reg peg trail shoe as she always has and again the design didn’t take into account the shape or function of the heal cup. Look at any picture of them and it is apparent that instead of swooping outwards they actually do the opposite and after one run both her heals had huge blisters that took 2 weeks to heal enough to run again. So basically at this point I would chose anyone but Nike. To add insult to injury they encourage their customers to use Nike Run Club (NRC). But, unlike the SNKRS app that actually favors big clients, they do not reward users when they reach a new milestone. My wife is in the highest tier Volt and I am right behind her in Black. We are talking thousands upon thousands of miles of tracked runs and not a single sale, exclusive release or even a tshirt.

Hey heskicks. Did you try them on with a thinner insole or no insole at all. They started to hurt my arches after a while so I bought an insole about half the thickness of the original one. Works much better now.

In the philippines, you cant return/refund just because it doesnt suit you or you dont like the design or color You can only return or exchange if there is a damage in the shoe and you only have 7 days to return or exchange

You should try the non goretex version is much more comfortable and I think doesn’t have the issue you mention

How to wash them?

A misshaped tongue on a shoe can really throw the whole thing off. I feel that way about the vapormax 2019 and the air max pre-days.

These are hitting your local Ross for $59 USD if you’re lucky enough to find them in your size. Just picked a pair up yesterday, no issues with the upper for me and tbh ride wise I find it a better Pegasus than the regular Pegasus…

There are 3 threads in the tongue, cut them with small scissors and you fix this problem ! And water still does not penetrate.

Just got my pair for 100 bucks with a different color. Im excited for them. I always go up a half size with nike and i feel like i will love them cause for many years, i have been settling with cheap everything no matter how uncomfortable they are. It is a great review and it gets me excited for when mine when they come in Update:im having a problem with the tongue also. It is tight and im trying to fix it Update 2. Well the tongue isn't bothering me anymore. I have been wearing them, putting them into good use walking four miles a day in them and they are starting to really feel good. I like my pair a lot and glad I never given up on them. They really are my go to shoe when I walk everyday. Update:3 these shoes feel absolutely amazing. They fit perfectly on my feet after walking miles in these shoes. I don't notice the tongue anymore. They fit like a glove. These are my everyday all around shoes and really recommend them. But If you do have a wide big foot, you have to be patient with the tongue before you don't notice it. If you are picky than I say these are not for you. But I like them, never gave up and absolutely love them now. This is after two of so months of wearing them everyday.

@@azurecerulean1751 I walk a lot. I wear mine like how he has them shown, loose cause of my wide feet. I tug on the tongue when I put them on and I wear thin socks. I noticed a couple days ago I wore regular socks and I didn't notice the tongue one bit. I feel like they are breaking in more cause they really feel comfortable now.

I wear a size 15 and usually Nike shoes are a bit small on my feet. Not these. They’re extremely roomy and comfortable.

Personally I liked the look of the Trail 3 GTX better especially the midsole with all that React. I had a pair and wore them from April until just a week ago when i had to return them because my feet were getting wet in them, thank god the Nike rep I chatted with was cool and let me return them even though I'd worn them for 7 months. I was going to get these Trail 4 GTXs but decided to use the refund money to get a pair of the regular Pegasus Trail 3s and a pair of Pegasus 39s since both were on sale and together came out to the same price as the Trail 3 GTXs. I will be needing a pair of waterproof shoes again for next spring and summer so I'll buy these when they are on sale next year, or get the Trail 5 GTX.

But I think part of the reason they accepted the return was because I actually started a return for the shoes about 2 weeks after I bought them, I have no idea why I started the return but the return ticket was still open when i checked my Nike account. I will say though that even though I did wear them for 7 months they still looked almost brand new because i take really good care of all my shoes, all 80 pairs, lol, and I did make sure to give them a really good cleaning including taking a wire brush to the soles to get as much dirt and grime and staining off of the soles and midsoles.

@@P-Atonement it kind of depends. For comfort it's gonna be my Nike Epic Reacts or Zoom Pegasus Turbos. For style its gonna be any of my AJ1s. I own mostly Nike React running shoes, AJ1s, AJ3s, AJ4s some Adidas shoes with boost and some Yeezys. But I would say for the shoe model i have the most of would be AJ1s I currently have 21 pairs.

My Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX had a detachment in the heel of the right foot in less than 100 days. Unfortunately, Nike in my country (Brazil) doesn't offer support for the problem.

I went half size up and the tongue part is bothering me too cause it's restrictive at the top of my foot. going full size up will.leave extra roomy toe box....

These are not waterproof over the laces. if you step in water that is deep enough to cover the laces, water will go in. It does have gore-tex all over shoe except under the laces. this is kind of misleading because a goretex shoe should also cover the laces. My other goretex shoes like salomon have no problem steeping in water submerging my laces. Just something no one is talking about. i bought mine and returned it thinking it was just that particular shoe but each new pair i received had the same thing. So don't submerge this shoe over the laces under water.

That’s just a common sense thing at this point, it’s all on the buyer and their fault if they are not satisfied, that goes for almost every product in existence, there is always a way to research an item you want to buy before you buy.

If you are a legit runner you should t wear your daily shoes around…it packs out the foam and increases your risk of injury.

They're good for keeping your socks from getting sloshy or frozen in wet conditions during the various seasons. They're suitable for road to trail, either or both. Decent cushion and traction on all surfaces. Wearing them all day is hard to recommend without having you test the fit. They may be too wide and/or tall for narrow flat feet, or they may be too tight in spots for tall or thick feet. I just got mine and ran in the light rain through puddles on pavement and off road. Enjoyable, and ended up with dry socks, except for the usual sweat.
