As a Floridian I'm just like, yeah they do that. They MOSTLY only climb chainlink but a determined gator can do pretty much anything. As for how to keep them out--eh, barbed wire on top, just like anything else capable of climbing fences lol.

@@clairefavretto Yes. Overall, we are degenerating morally. Bad thinking and bad behavior is condoned and even praised. Things may degenerate more on the world scene and the nations will be in anguish and people will become faint out of fear of the things happening on the Earth. People, laugh, scoff, mock, ignore and deny the warnings that have been given since the days of Jesus; but God's day is at hand. God's Kingdom ruled by the resurrected and mighty Son of God will destroy the nations and cause God's will to be done on earth. There is still time to seek God's Kingdom and God's righteousness but don't delay. God has a set time and he will act.

My friend and I were visiting Florida from Canada where there is no alligators, not even lizards in Pet shops. My friend and I ended up missing our rail before midnight. We decided to walk to our hotel. We walked the lite trails and decided to take a short cut through hedges near a lake. I hopped over the hedge first and landed on something hard which popped my knee out. My friend plopped over next and she started freaking out “crocodile” and started running. It took about 3 screams of “crocodile” for me to clue into what she was saying. Lucky the Alligator wasn’t that big but it still freaked us out 😅

Yea I think we were pretty lucky. We called for a driver after the incident and told the driver. The driver was so nonchalant about it and said “oh that’s normal here. We don’t have to call in and report alligators unless they are over 6ft.” The alligator definitely looked over 6ft but it was also pretty dark out. It wasn’t as big as the one in this video but still way too big to be roaming around close to walking trails. Counting my lucky stars lol.

That's a five footer. Alligators up to 10 feet can climb fences like that. Palisades with outward tilted tops are a little more difficult, but none of these will stop the pythons which can get over 18 feet long and over 100 lbs - which is big enough to take out small adults.

I should be more surprised by this but I'm really not. It's like how I wasn't surprised by the online clip of lions opening a car door in an African wildlife park or by the clip of a snake opening a door. They can all adapt to the changes that we humans have made in the natural environment around them. What really concerned me was how I remember a primate( ape) expert commenting on The Planet Of The Apes movies regarding how the apes were using guns in the movies and saying that as natural mimics, chimps COULD be taught physically to use firearms and other kinds of weapons( but the experts say that they aren't likely to use the guns against us). But just the fact alone that an animal( no matter how close in many ways chimps and other kinds of apes may be to us, they are STILL wild animals) could be taught to use guns is concerning.

I was born and raised in southwest Florida, in an area where there were plenty of gators, and I have never seen such a thing. Of course, during mating season, male alligators can be highly motivated to cover a lot of ground, traveling miles to where their prospects are better.

If Donald Trump's Wall is made 2 feet higher, that would make it 2 foot tall, since he never built shit. He spent 4 years golfing and going to rallies instead of building The Wall, as promised.
