No he’s not. He’s more than 10 years removed, and he’s talking from his own arrogant POV. These guys have all the resources and support one can ask for. They choose to ignore it. And if he wanted help or solutions, he can ask. Even Gil talking about being in the club when the lights come on and the party is over, and he didn’t learn that he shouldn’t be doing this until his late 20s when a body guard told him? Let them learn...I'm a recovering addict eventually your life will not be attainable. Eventually things will hit rock bottom even if u have millions. Sometimes these guys have to do a jail bid or prison bid or those a contract etc

I have seen documentaries about how the NBA as an organization, has tried to teach these young guys. Their parents should also be a positive influence.

As someone who spent time around AI during his heyday I can confirm that he took none of that advice until much later....

This is good advice for normal ass dudes too lol like just show up to the club looking good, do your thing for an hour or so, and bounce with a girl you like or call up a regular once you're home. It's like your mom says, nothing good ever happens after 2 am.

That's the issue with the league there are no more veterans. Back in the 90s in the early 2000s it was a league full of older men. Now the league is full of young men.
