    He was a career 42.5% from the field 31% from 3 and 78% from the line he was a high usage low% scorer 26.7 ppg on 21.8 FGA KD averages 27.3 ppg on 50% shooting 38% from 3 and 88% from the line and he only takes 18.7FGA

    ​@randyholliday5626 you can't compare KD and AI with those stat lines because they are 2 different types of player. KD picks his spots to be efficient. That was not who AI was. His virtue was in his competitiveness and played at full speed the whole game. He got other team in foul trouble with his aggressiveness and speed as a 6 foot guard. And he was clutch as anyone in league's history.

    As a Sixers fan for the last 43 years, I don't really remember Allen NOT having it going! That's not to say that he didn't have some bad games but, even in his bad games, we NEVER really felt like it was a bad game! No matter WHAT kind of game he was having, you were entertained! You knew at ANY MOMENT, he could get hot 🔥 and then it's on! And trust me, he didn't have many bad games at all!!!!! We could ALLLLLLLWAYS depend on him to give us whatever he's got and whatever that was, we loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT, EVEN PRACTICE 😂😂😂😂😂

    You must be young because Allen was a very controversial figure at the time. He even laughs now about how normal things he was doing then, on and off the court, that were considered outrageous at the time. From his tats, to music to fashion, Allen set the trends.

    He took us to the finals and lost to the great Kobe and Shaq. I couldn’t be more proud of being born and raised in Philadelphia. Iverson did so much for this city and did so so much for the team. Regardless of him not having a ring to his name, he’s still a top 10 of all time.

    I've been an NBA fan since 1991, I watched MJ pierce the clouds and Hakeem doing the dream shake, I watched rookie Duncan kicking asses and taking names, I watched Stockton and Malone delivering on every single night and Barkley kicking Shaq's ass in hand to hand combat... and while I consider MJ to be the unquestionable GOAT, never have I asked myself 'is this dude for real' more times than while watching The Answer sending top defenders to get him a soda while he goes warp 9 in the other direction. The skill, the athleticism, the speed and the swagger packed in that 5'11'' skinny frame will never be replicated again. AI was a nuclear weapon packed in a size of a hand grenade!

    Do you remember all of those Stockton elbows getting thrown every game? I definitely remember that plus I remember Stockton being the dirtiest player in the league. Many players even said that about him. I also remember Malone aka The Black Redneck that turned out to be an even worse person in real life than I thought. I didn't like them then. Now I see it wasn't just hate from a Sixers fan but it was intuition. I forgot to mention that the refs treated Utah like family. They got all of the calls. Anyway, I'm done with my rant. Lol

    The man brought a good taste for dribbling and crossovers as an attacking element. how cool it was that this little man slipped through the defense, between two players...like a knife through butter. Perfect timing. He was drawing lace on the site. True basketball art. And only then the system of fast dribbling, crossover and shooting was passed on to modern players. But Iverson is the beginning!

    The Mike Vick of the NBA literally lol. Inspired so many young ones around the globe. Trendsetter, style, and most of all had heart. Was fearless "only" standing at 6'0. Real ones know AI was nasty. The cross on MJ solidified his spot as one of the greats even without a ring. Legendary player.

    I went to a few Sixers games when he was in his prime, and I got pretty close to him during warmups, the man was barely 5'11. The atmosphere in Philly was electric when he was in the building. What a great player to watch.

    @smoke404 never said he could Lead in which i don't think he can. Most pure point guards can't. I think Isiah Thomas is one of the few point guards in NBA History that can LEAD and win rings. I can't recall many. I would still take A.I. over Kyrie because of Carry Factors. Before LeBron got back to Cleveland Kyrie was barely winning 30 games.

    @@rodneycabreja2624 even with flashy Handles they are better than A.I. facing Double teams and Traps i would take Kyrie in those situations. Sometimes it's Ok for legends to pass the torch in certain categories....but im taking Kyrie in the ball handling department. If you wanna be a all around Floor General at point and High Basketball IQ i would take Chris Paul Steve Nash or John Stockton or Magic.

    Growing up Iverson was my favorite player. I remember I bought his shoes, and Jersey. He had the best shoes in NBA at that time. Still looking good to this day.

    You can search for AI top 10 plays here. There was hd footage vs. Tyron Lee Lue. This finals actually was aired in 1080i on NBC. So i hope someone will release hdtv version of this and other classic games in the future.

    God I miss this NBA. Players actually tried on both ends of the floor. It wasn't just a 3 pt shootout while the defense stands around. The game was played with much more passion. And AI was just incredible. MJ is the GOAT but the Answer will always be my favorite

    back in 2001 i was a 7th grader. i heard allen iverson for the first time in my life. saw him ball it up on tv but didn't appreciate his game due to my age and the lack of knowledge to basketball. but now i watch these vids and it impresses me a lot more than i thought it would. just keep on looking for these type of motion pieces. Allen Iverson, true mvp if you ask me.

    They took away so much from the defense over the years , and to be fair it makes offense more fun to watch. That being said these past couple years they call blocking fouls even when the offense goes straight into the defender's chest. Hard to be on board with that one.. only way to play defense without fouling is to stand still
