History: This helicopter has been registered in the USA by Enstrom Helicopter Corp as N861EE with Mode-S Hex: ABD2F7 from December 2018 till 22.04.2019 as exported to France.
Registered there in France as F-HPUX with Mode-S Hex: 39BE97 from 2019. This was at the US-held Heli Expo, where Enstrom Helicopter proudly delivered this latest 280FX model to their French dealer, Rotor & Aircraft.
This Enstrom 280FX demonstrator was unveiled as showcased by Rotor & Aircraft, Enstrom's French dealer, and made its debut appearance at the Blois 2019 Ultra Light Fly-In. Throughout the event, numerous pilots had the opportunity to experience the exceptional performance of the Enstrom 280FX.
This upgraded version of the 280FX features wider doors, significantly enhancing accessibility for pilots of various sizes. Additionally, the model incorporates new collective sticks with LED landing light control, a technological advancement typically found in turbine helicopters. The F-HPUX demonstrator stands as the first model to encompass all these latest improvements.
This became subsequently re-registered in France to Rotor & Aircraft as F-HPUX since 21.07.2022.
Rotor & Aircraft actively participated in the Cholet HELICO 2022 Fly-In, where three Enstrom 280 helicopters, including the demonstrator, were prominently featured among the 100 helicopters present. A select group of helicopter pilots had the opportunity to fly the 280FX demonstrator, experiencing its exceptional flight characteristics.
Looking ahead, Rotor & Aircraft is set to showcase the Enstrom 280FX at the European Rotors event in Madrid from November 28 to 30. The helicopter will be on display at the Enstrom Helicopter booth in Hall 9, Stand 931.

    Enstrom helicopters are far to underpowered, and rotor rpm is too low. Not enough power and not enough rpm in rotor for a good autorotation. Not sure why someone would fly and aircraft with such a terrible engine either.
