I grew up watching Sacchi's Milan, Capello's Milan and Ancelotti's Milan play and win. I've seen some of the strongest teams in history play, I've seen some of the strongest players in history play. What else could I desire as a Milan fan? Nothing, I just have to thank you for living those moments.

Milan, from 80 to 2010 played so many strong player, that did a lot of wonderful things with the team that will be always disagreement about "who should be the best". George Weah is not in the list ... but there are Shevchenko and Van Basten... Pirlo is out... but there are in Rijkaard Rivera and Seedorf, Gullit is out, there's kaka (gullit was a beast, but you can really say that kaka wasn't, espec the first 3/4 years in italy?) Also people like Donadoni, Gattuso, Tassotti. And i left out people like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Rossi just because they didn't so much in this team (not so much like the others ofc)

i'm not a milan supporter, but in order to understand how great is milan in football history we should mention few names didnt make to the list but still are considered milan's legends: marcos cafu, jaap stam, zvonimir boban, dejan savicevic, manuel rui costa, andrea pirlo, gennaro gattuso, ruud gullit, filippo inzaghi, hernan crespo, fabio capello, carlo ancelotti, cesare maldini (paolo's father, he was good trust me), karl-heinz schnellinger, nils liedholm, gunnar nordahl, roberto donadoni, giovanni trapattoni, george weah, oliver bierhoff.

My eyes are tearing up whatching this, the feelings Milan gives are undescribable. The fact that Legends like Gullit, Pirlo, Beckham, Ancelotti, Ronaldinho, Dida, Inzaghi and so on (we could go on for hours like this) are not in the list makes you think that Milan was always the Very Best Football Team in History!

Sam Rothstein Costacurta was a class cb, I saw him many times with exceptional performances, he never made mistakes. Savicevic was a more forward player than Pirlo but I wouldn`t play him in the same position, the team would be different with Rijkaard as DM and him slightly further forward, he was a magician, truly exceptional. Gullit is an all time great, I wouldn`t go that far with Kaka. Gullit`s not the same kind of player as Kaka but his position is similar on the pitch.

Kaka original position in 2004-2005 (his best years) was pure midfielder and not supporting attack like in post 2005 seasons when Ancelotti tried to replace Sheva.

Sam Rothstein True, Gullit slightly more attacking player but still similar in many ways as he had everything to his game and did often play in CM as well as slightly further forward, possibly the complete player. He could dribble, had speed and strength, heading ability, great shot, great passer, leader/winner.

Ronaldo was slightly too late to play against the classic 88-92 Milan. Maradona was the only one who trampled them alone.

I liked your top 11, but it's really harsh to agree with it whe u preferred Rijkaard to Gullit and Seedorf to Pirlo. I guess it's super tough to make a top eleven, u left behind very good players like Weah, Savicevic, Albertini, Gattuso, Thiago Silva, Cafù or Nordhal.. Nils “il barone” Liedholm and Gunnar Nordahl. Great players from many decades ago, but still worth considering going onto an all-time AC Milan XI (maybe at the cost of Seedorf and Kaka).

best ac milan team was the late 80s. Rossi, albertini, Maldini, costacurta, savicevic, gullit, raijkard.

Watching MILAN growing up so strong and flair with some of the best players ever but last few years so lost. Hopefully they be back where they belong 👍👍

Dida Tassotti, Nesta, Baresi, Maldini Gullit, Albertini, Rijkaard, Kaka Shevchenko, van Basten.

I get goosebumps when I watch Maldini playing .. he is the greatest player in history for me.

You can very easily make at least 2 more great teams of all other Milan legends like Dida, Cafu, Gullit, Gattuso, Nordahl, Pirlo, Inzaghi, Ronaldinho, Ibrahimovic, Donadoni, Weah etc. Such is the history of this great club!!! Hoping to see them win the Champions league again in the next coming years. And always will be my favorite football club!!!

Savicevic is criminally underrated, he deserves to be at the very list in the sub list or honorable mention

As a liverpool fan ac milan have had the best players in the world on numerous occasions,more than anybody. Hope to see it back to where it belongs.

so many great players for Milan over the years one has to skip or overlook some of the greats. Cafu, Boban, cesare Maldini, Gullitt, Kaka, etc.... What an amazing club.

When you have Van Basten - Shevchenko - Kaka in front, you know a goal is coming soon or later ;) Very hard to pick up from these legends, I'd like to say it's more appropriate to build a team from the same era. For example the legend Rivera has to play in a team with 1960-70's players. My team from 2000 til today: Dida - Maldini - Nesta - T. Silva - Cafu Gattuso - Pirlo - Seedorf Shevchenko . Kaka - Inzaghi
