Elizabeth has always said He asked. Lucas made himself Elizabeth’s boyfriend as soon as possible. Last night was the chef’s kiss from WCTH. Elizabeth and Nathan were perfect and they were all ready to risk their lives. Nathan needed to hear that from Elizabeth. I expect a very different Nathan now. Mike’s proposal was perfect. Kate getting to keep Lily. Perfect. The stars she gave her.. I love you WCTH.

I know Elizabeth is a strong and capable woman, a survivor out in the wilds of Hope valley, but I want to see Nathan really come for her. He has been so respectful and careful, overly cautious perhaps. I want to see him WANT her and for them to be together not just because of her persistence, but his too. Come on, Nathan, plant a smooch on Elizabeth. You know you want to! And so does she!!!

@lisaoconnell4072 I think that sometimes-that I wish Nathan would just be bold about letting her see how he feels and take the initiative. But then I remember that once before, he was certain that she felt the same way he did, and he did go for it, only for her to tell him that she loved him but was not “in love” with him. That she was trying to find Jack in him. When I consider that, I quite understand why he hesitates. He has been wrong before. He can’t risk the heartache again or risk Allie being hurt.

Entendo que o roteiro tem de ir com calma por que naquela época era mais difícil , Elizabeth ficou muito tempo com o Lucas , ela é professora , o que as crianças e seus pais pensariam dela se já percebessem o namoro dela com Nathan ?

@@gliceriabotelho2834It is true that if they came right out dating, people might start to speculate if they had been “carrying on” before she and Lucas broke up. I sometimes suspect that several of them had already seen that she cared for Nathan and were surprised she chose Lucas. Look at Rosemary’s face while Elizabeth rushes up to Nathan to warn him to be safe. But once she chose Lucas, the town went with her choice.

I hope this makes people realize that E really loved N from the beginning. N never came out & told her how he felt. Like she said to him "do you want to know how I ended up in Union City with Lucas? He asked me" N never asked her.

N DID come out and tell her how he felt, about FIVE TIMES, it was E that held back because of fear. And he DID ask her out, she balked at the last second because of Luke-the-puke and mother dearest.

​@@radicalreactions1633Elizabeth wanted Nathan to ask her out and when he finally asked her to have dinner with him in season 7 she froze and didn't answer him. I don't even want to talk about how she did him and Allie in season 8 when they were headed to dinner. She kept goading him to ask her out and when he did, well we all saw how she reacted. She wanted him and was scared of her feelings for him at the same time.

Her asking all these personal questions, in an era when people didn't pry into each other's business, proves their connection has been deep from the beginning. The few times she tried to get information from Lucas, he rarely shared, preferring to keep things more surface. Avoidung discomfort. Elizabeth's relentless questions encouraged Nathan to share some of the more painful parts of his past, and in consequence, their relationship grew, deepened, and became more intimate. With his questions, he has often made her face her feelings about issues, as well. Their interest in each other is obvious and neither wants to lose the other, even if that means asking, and answering, uncomfortable questions.

Right, the only thing that brought Elizabeth and Lucas together was her fear of losing Nathan & the bad choice by the heads of WCTH to have her pick Lucas. It never made sense that she wasn't in love with Nathan or to see Jack in him. Her actions definitely spoke louder than her words.
