Anne, this is so beautiful. The love story of Nathan & Elizabeth. This is what we all have seen throughout the years. I'm literally in tears. The music you chose sets the right mood for the journey this love has taken. Just beautiful. I hope Kevin and Erin get to see this.❤

Another observation-This somehow captures that feeling of why this love story is meant to be. E smiles wide and often (always has) when she is with Nathan. She also gives him great hugs. She lets her guard down and enjoys the moment so often. I don’t make a comparison to negate the admirable job Chris did as Lucas, but the way the story is written, I always had the feeling that E chose L and was “dating” him or “being courted by” him whereas she was falling in love with N. When she was with N, she was carrying out the mundane things of life with the undercurrent of romance and a happiness of just being together. It is a sense of that deep abiding love which continues or lasts if or when the looks are gone, the money lost, or illness befalls one of them. They touch each other’s heart in a way that transcends the superficial and causes them to seek the other with a natural instinct.

Well in the beginning of the season Erin called Elizabeth and Nathan's relationship a "Love Comes Softy" romance in a Heart to Hearties interview. It truly was a "Love Comes Softly" storyline from S6 forward. In S8 after Nathan declared he was in love with Elizabeth and she said, "I can't." Nathan knew it was because she was fearful. That's why he offered to quit the mounties. Elizabeth knew that being in law enforcement is a calling and didn't want him giving up the mounties for her. But Nathan said, "I know you feel the same way." after he had declared his love, but Elizabeth ran away and rejected him out of fear. He didn't give up he told her that he loved her even more in S8 trying to get her to admit the truth. It had to be frustrating to Nathan, but Nathan realized he had to be patient realizing she had fear to overcome before she could admit the truth. I think that was why Nathan stayed friends with Elizabeth even though she rejected him. He knew how she felt. He probably gave up once Elizabeth became engaged to Lucas figuring that she was going to settle for a safe comfortable love to protect herself. Well, Elizabeth eventually followed her heart and broke up with Lucas. She could live with out him. He was safe. It was Nathan she couldn't live without she knew she couldn't leave Hope Valley or Nathan because she was in love with him.

I totally watched S8 & S9 but it was hard. But after I saw how much the writers beat up on Nathan's character with all the horrible things that happened to him. I knew season 10 would bring a change. That they would switch it back to Nathan. I guess I never lost hope in this relationship. That the writers would eventually get us where we are in S11.
