Loved this interview. You asked questions that no other interview had asked of them! I LOVE this couple together. In seasons 6, 7 and most of 8, you knew they were setting this couple up to be together but the jarring switch to Lucas last minute to hopefully secure some extra seasons, REALLY split the fanbase. Up until this point, no one thought of this show as being a soap show....so fans were EXTREMELY upset with how the switch was handled. Once they were with Lucas, they tried to make that decision stick by "sanitizing" (writer Elizabeth Stewarts description of what took place in s9) the Lucas character to make him suitable character for Elizabeth. While some fans always believed the Lucas character was flawless and perfect for Elizabeth, those who followed the Christian fiction books upon which this series was based KNEW the real Elizabeth needed to be with the impeccable mountie. It was a huge risk for HM to change the story back in its original direction, but I think it was the best decision to keep this story lasting for more seasons! So many people are coming back to the show that left after s8! Kevin and Elizabeth have amazing chemistry together and an incredible acting range! They truly are acting equals and their ease together is felt and seen anytime they are together. They interview very well! I hope the show stays away from the soap formula in storytelling moving forward! The fans have been through SO much watching this show and they need some easy seasons moving forward in order to allow them to heal.

I agree 💯 with all you said. Elizabeth and Nathan belong together. Always have. And once Lucas finds HIS true love, his fan base will feel happy again. Hopefully, that happens in season 12.

Best series ever! Incredible writing! Amazing production! Wonderful cast! Rarely does a storyline give rise to so much cheering and bring on the tears so much. Although the finale was perfect in so many ways, it was also bittersweet because now we Hearties need to wait until 2025 for Season 12. Personally I hope I am still around for Season 20. As for the speculation about the cliff hanger, now that the whole "who shot Lucas" is pretty well played out, maybe the reason the sergeant wanted to talk to Elizabeth was because Jack was murdered?

It would be nice to see Abigail again. They hint at a relationship between her and Henry. Would be great to see it played out.

Why is Kevin (Nathan) leaning so far away from Erin (Elizabeth) Seems odd to me.

I'm over all of this after the way the show did Lucas's character. AND Nathen's character deserves better as well.

I guess you had to get rid of the fiancé before you have a road "to romance"

Kevin is still engaged to his Fiance/Kayla in Real Life.She had a schedule conflict which is why she was not in 11. Erin is with her boyfriend Ben Real Life. E&N are TV Fiction Romance. Erin,Ben,Kevin and Kayla are friends in Real Life 2020s

I don’t like the lady that does this place in overhead has explain everything it’s nice to keep your own feelings in regards to that

They keep saying 'the fans' & what they're really saying is that they wanted to make Nathan fans happy. 😮 They give NO consideration to the disappointment of Lucas fans because they believe the breakup of Elizabeth & Lucas was respectful. What??? The relationship between Elizabeth & Lucas was undeniably beautiful & they act like it never happened..... too unbelievable the way it was done...LOVE doesn't just stop. Done with this show! Not enough of good storylines to enjoy.

Is it just me or does Erin seem to be bustier? Is there perhaps a baby on board.

Sorry, but Nathan is a nice guy but these two just don’t go together… it was silly to me and the chemistry isn’t there either. When she hooked up with Lucas, that scene was undeniably the best ever when she decided she wanted Lucas and technically her kiss with Lucas was more powerful. I was really disappointed with this season and the story lines were just blasé. They seem to want to expand into more avenues of developments for the community which is ok,,,but I hope it doesn’t take away from the quant atmosphere of the town and what it stands for. I believe they should bring back Lori Laughlin also. Taking her off the program for so long is way over do. Bring back some old charm. With that being said, it’s also irritating to see these actors move on to different romance programs ( call me old fashioned) with different characters way before the season has ended. But I guess that’s part of their job to keep working. And if I might add. Kevin is engaged to Leona in real life!! How can you get around that? Of course it’s all acting but it still takes away from escaping into this theater of the mind to captivate your interest. Personally, I don’t know how they do it, but then, maybe I am just to down to earth to keep pretending. ??

I 100% agree with you! If they really paid attention, Elizabeth & Lucas had playful body language when they first met while Elizabeth seemed frustrated & irritated when Nathan kept asking her to dinner. And there's a HUGE difference when Elizabeth & Lucas look at each other & the way they kiss compared to Elizabeth & Nathan. Then there was the silly scene with Nathan shirtless....it did not have the same effect on Elizabeth as when she was comforting Lucas in his office or two separate scenes she had with Lucas in the Library or especially how she almost loses her balance when Lucas kisses her (she has that 'Zing')! No, Elizabeth & Nathan have NO chemistry. And Elizabeth looked & sounded ridiculous when she told Rosemary, 'Is it wrong to want to find Love' right after her breakup with Lucas! But then that dialogue wasn't any worse than the LAME dialogue given for the reason Elizabeth was calling off the engagement. It's so sad that I can no longer enjoy watching a show I LOVED for 9 years not only because the breakup was very disrespectful to many fans, but mostly because they've changed Elizabeth's character to be unlikable, immature & no longer holds good morals. Plus, how rude is it that nothing is being said about Little Jack not seeing or caring about his 'Buddy'? Just another disrespectful kick in the gut!

Kevin is engaged to Kayla Wallace in RL .Kayla is Fiona, You can have a really nice guy/actor RL play a really bad,evil Villian in TV. It is what it is.

Lucas fans were robbed. The showrunner should be fired and I will never ever ever support anything that Erin or Kevin are in, I am so disgusted with WCTH.

Lucas was a way better storyline. This is silly
