I think having an alarm on the transmitter is a great idea. I love the sound the felony makes cutting through the air. 👍👍

The bearing support for the drive shaft is actually a good idea because they don't locate perfectly and will therefore not run perfectly concentric. A bigger diameter drive shaft would just cause vibrations and universal joint bearing wear without fixing the problem of an oscillating shaft.

I was just at my hobby store for parts on my udr. It was nice to come home and watch this.

Nice I have spoken to a few guys and I believe quality control dropped the ball on some ESC'S. Bad batch honestly. Also, I haven't had no over heating issue with mines yet and I have taken it to the MAX. TOP SPEED 98 MPH And street bashed it for good 20 mins. A lot to factor in cause I used spectrum 100c 3S smart batteries 5000mah and had no issues. Also, I thought you said this was a 160amp ESC. Its actually 150amp. Unless someone snuck you a little gift. But I think everything else was thought beautifully. I love this car🥰 But I agree 200amp esc would improve this thing 8 fold. Main issue and you touched on it. Where the HELL ARE THE REAR TIRES.😤

4 arrma Mojave Spektrum ESC all junked out the last two I had, one died on the third landing of only 10ft jumps! The other just in 3 months Spektrum denied my next claim just to rub more dirt in my face.. Told Spektrum what they could do with their nasty stuff. Batteries sucked too😂 so much waisted money trying to stay Spektrum and in the end no support.

​@@surfside75Horizon Hobby gave me a new ESC, no hassle. Even shipped it next day air. I've had nothing but good Warranty service with my Felony. I'm sure by now they know they put a turkey ESC in there and expect to get warranty claims.

The esc being sub standard is a deal breaker, also easy access diffs would be a big help. These types of cars need maintenance, therefore the overall design should have taken this into account. A well thought out RTR addressing every aspect is rare, even to this day.

I have one. And the front tires seam to spin at a much faster rate. Not because of size but for control. It seams like 5 turns in the front for every 4 turns to the back. I didn’t do the math. Just letting you know it’s front wheels spin faster to keep from over stealing.

The ESC has me puzzled. I bought an early Infraction & had problems with it from day 1. It's a well known fault so it's a bad showing from Horizon that they didn't address it.

I know what you mean larry and that's why I try and cover cars at every budget point, the 6s stuff is good and fast but then you need to add another $3-400 on top for lipo's and a decent lipo charger, and then there's the tires don't get me started on the tires!!!

What’s your experience with runtime on this car and with what battery setup? Really want it but need to know how long I can expect to get for a run.

Does the ESC overheat on the small (drift) stock gearing or large (speed) stock gearing? Also, great video, straight to the point.

On the smaller pinion! THAT's the problem! Infraction V1 did, this is the 'new' spektrum esc and yet 3 mins of drifting and it overheats! Glad the video hit the mark!

The only issue i have with mine is the lexan rear diffuser shakes alot when i accelerate. Not sure if there is a fix for that or just normal. Besides that love the car👍

I've a video coming up in the next few hours where it stops after 3mins, albeit around my yard so maybe it's the braking that adds to the heat, I wouldn't raise it as an issue if it hadn't happened to me, also when we took it for a speed run on the optional gear the heat sensor kicked in before it had reached top speed, If the new esc wasn't overheating I'd be the first to mention it having had two burn out on the original infraction. It's like they seem to have good and bad batches of them, the replacement ones they sent me never overheated.

Arrma have dropped the ball in a few areas,1 the esc is disappointing to hear about 2 they should have waited until they had sufficient stocks of the Felony and Infraction V2 before releasing them along with sufficient spare parts. Great informative video 👍😃

Recently got back into RC and after seeing this beast I had to get one. 🤣 It's been good so far and no overheating issues 🤞 but nearly killed a set of tyres in 2 uses 🥺 but lasts ages on batteries for the speed it's putting out. Iam finding the front is diving on the brakes tho, bottoms out causing instability , and the tyres are starting to rub through the arches on the body . Iam thinking a heavier weight shock oil maybe will help with that. Also tyre wear, possibly wants a heavier weight diff oil to as spinning one more than the other

Try adjusting the front droop screws as this will let you raise the ride height at the front (and rear if you need to). The adjustment is hidden away in the manual but it's a quick job with a hex driver. That said I keep the front of mine low and the rear high to stop blow overs at high speed (I'm running an 8s setup). Hope the droop screw adjustment helps. Although I agree on thicker shock oil

Another New Camera, just got this one last week? but at $2k over the past 2 years on cameras sorry I have to draw the line, Glad you like the content, it's maybe the autofocus, but another new camera? Whilst I do listen to feedback there comes a point financially where you simply can't afford any more upgrades. next $2k I spend will be on cars, I appreciate the feedback but have to draw a line in the sand somewhere. Hope that didn't sound like a rant, but literally people expect me to have TV quality cameras, when I used a 4k camera people still complained....

​ @Driftomaniacs No need to upgrade the camera, just use manual focus and set the focus before recording. You're not running away from the camera so a fixed focus will work the best. Also a few soft surfaces behind the camera wouldn't go astray to stop the sound echo. As others have said though the content is top notch. A few small tweaks to the presentation without spending any extra and this channel would blow up!

IMO they are the same platform and either one can be converted to the other. You can also have a felon with the same E-break as the infraction and get the best of both worlds, even have all the same size matching wheels no the felony like the infraction has if you replace the rear diff gears on the felon to match the gears in the front diff. Its all preference.... It almost litteraly comes down to.... hmm what body do I want lol... The infraction is more of a drifter as the felony can launch forwards in a much straighter line but the felon also can silde all over the place f you felt like it ESPECIALLY if you go with the 'silver' lettering hoons tires that are a harder longer lasting compound with less grip.

Drive it like an absolute hooligan 🤣

Damn the esc is the main part

I killed the esc, and motor and both batteries in 3 minutes on mine. Arrma is great at honoring warranties, but being a busy adult, it took 5 months until I got each part replaced. First the esc, then I bought new batteries, then realized the motor was burned as well. Idk the chain of events, but one caused the rest to go bad. Maybe one battery caused all the damage? Maybe the esc fried everything. But you have a point that it shouldn’t happen so fast. It took like 2 minutes of just whatever driving to kill the thing for half a year

Put clear MTB frame tape on the body parts prone to scratching

Just ordered in orange now they have tires in stock.

I just got a felony 6s and its great, one thing that i cant stand is the velcro straps for the batteries. but its minon. great car fun ass hell.

I'm sure you know that the infraction and the felony have two different displacements for the rear as far as the rear differential goes. I didn't read all the comments so I hope it's been posted otherwise yes felony has a different rear tire, luckily the local hobby shop has both types of rear tires in stock

Howzit i had a problem with the arrma infraction v2 spektrum receiver it does not power on at all any help or ideas and its not the esc or low batteries I think the receiver might be fried!!thanks in advance

If your batteries are full and the RX has no power it's most likely the ESC that's the problem. Hope that helps! My ESC has just failed as well BTW! Horizon better on the chat than calling them due to covid!

Thank you very much for the response i really appreciate it,but my esc seems to be ok i put 2 different receivers in the arrma infraction 1 was a redtcat receiver and 1 was a dx3 standard receiver with no avc which I am using now and it seems to be running ok the esc and everything else,so I think maybe I just got lucky and got a bad spektrum avc receiver. Power goes through it for lights but as far as radio response and binding response I have none

for the price, it should have a 200 amp esc by far...

it’s 900 in canada. pushing 1000 dollars. anything at that price should have top quality. if spektrum wants to be in the esc game. they better get with the program.

What!!!!!! That said I've got 3 pairs that I put on order the day they released the part number (Before I'd even got my car) as tires on the original infraction were a problem for weeks, hard to believe horizon hobby dropped the ball again

Arrma loves to cheap out on servos. That's nothing new. BTW, I'm not an Arrma hater, i own two Arrma's including the Felony, i just (unfortunately) take it for granted that if i buy a new Arrma vehicle, i should have a fresh servo ready to put in, to replace the absolute dogs**t servos they use, seemingly at every price point. My Granite BLX servo lasted 5 weeks. Only one week longer than the rear diff 😂

Store owner just offered me the felony with batteries for 200. I said no ill keep my 70 mph Bandit because it can crash and run. The felony is what I call a depressing wreck.
