Lyrics:
I have no words that I can say
To make you see that
I know I couldn't make you stay
I cannot beat this
What have you done?
This all seems so wrong
I hate that you'd let it end
And now that you're gone
The nights seems so long
And I can't pretend
I know I'm asking too much
And you're not coming back again
I know I'm asking too much
And you'll never be mine again
I'm not gonna find you out side of my door
But damn I wanna let you in
I know I'm asking too much, and you'll never...

People always complaining that bands change, but think, were you the same person 5 years ago? No. So don't demonize the band for it.

Oli's solo's man. They are something else. just pure musical MASTERPIECES.
There is so much emotion that goes into this solo. I can feel the sadness emitting from it. Damn I wish I could make up solos like that.

Music= Art. Art= Opinions. If you don't like ATR then keep it to yourself, nobody cares. Personally, I think they're amazing and are one of the few bands today that have valuable meaning in their music. Truly inspiring.

See, you immediately contradicted yourself there, you say "Art = Opinions" and then you say "If you don't like ATR keep it to yourself" So you don't actually care about the principal of free subjection for everyone at all do you? the only Opinions you want to be free to share are the ones that match your own, and anyone who disagrees doesn't deserve an opinion.

This is actually making me feel really nostalgic. It has kind of has that up-beat yet serious feel that I remember hearing, from bands like simple plan, when I was younger.
All That Remains were one of the first bands I really liked and I admit I drifted away but I always find myself coming back to them and enjoying them just like I used to
I grew up in the 80s and this music is pretty decent... especially compared to the grunge stuff of the 90s.. my son is 18 and he listened to this in my car and I got hooked.. pretty funny to be driving down the highway singing along with him... and knowing all the words... not ashamed..

+Ben Moore Believe it or not. in 10-20 years, people will be wishing they grew up in the same generation that you did :D
All that remains stays good as they stand... metal is about the passion and momentum to express yourself however the fuck you want. That's why most metal bands scream, to show the expression in the song... its not all about sounding brutal, its about making you feel the emotion and expression inside of you. Creating that energy to release it.
This song is just to on point even years later It is so crazy because the amount of acceptance and well life itself in this song alone speaks volumes yes that was a play on band names 😎🤘🏾🤘🏾👊🏾🔥
It's songs like this that really yank at my heart strings.
Since everyone is talking about how ATR has changed in their playing styles, I thought I'd break the cycle. I think it's awesome that Jason Costa plays with a traditional stick hold. Not only is it different, it is way more challenging to play faster tempos and to bounce with. Doing so teaches you to play with you wrist, not your elbows. I love the guitars in this song. I was listening to this at work with ear buds and you pick up so many more subtleties as apposed to listening on an open speaker. For some reason, the drums stand out a little bit more--almost as if they were EQ'd or balanced correctly but I love it. Gives it a much more organic and realistic feel.
No matter what, this band will always be really good. I think they're better like this.
This song reminds me an old friend. I lost contact with her a long time ago, and I really miss her. I hope she's doing great.
Awesome song.
Yep i heard them on my local rock station today. I almost cried, not because it was good they are getting air-time; but because they were once one of the best metal bands i had ever known. And now they are nickleback.
Phil you guys give a new meaning to great music.
Phil’s cleans are so underrated
Another great song from ATR and to all the people that don't like it stop hating, true fans support there bands regardless if they like it or not. so their not like they use to be or you don't like one of their songs, at least there still together making music and sharing it with the world.
The instrumentals are mind blowing. Phil's patterns are dope. It's pretty much a love ballad. I guess it doesn't take away from it's amazingness tho
I think every band needs to have at least 1 album that's different than how they usually sound. While they're old stuff will always be the best it's nice to see something different than the same old thing over and over

Something different might work, but it needs to be good though.
wow really cool!!! this band is as insanely good as underrated!!!
all lyric videos need to be like this.
I'm so glad ATR is finally getting a decent amount of air time on the radio. It was really depressing a few years back, when no one knew who they were. They're such a good band, and they deserve to be in the limelight for once.
It's still a good song and I enjoy listening to it regardless if ATR is trying to go in a new direction. They are the same band they have always been. If you are a true ATR fan, you'll continue to support them even if they are "asking too much" of you.
I actually think the the guitar work in this song is awesome. You don't need heavy riffs or a super crazy solo. You can say a lot of stuff with a couple notes or 50 notes. It depends on the mood.
I've always liked this song but now when it describes my emotions perfectly I found even deeper meaning in it.. Amazing song.. Amazing.
I love all of their music, who cares if they want to write from the heart sometime not all metal is about ripping off someones face all though it's fun but they can make some music that matters to them in the softer side of things!
@Firey_OSC12123

They do both heart and rip your faceoff. Lol. I've heard them at their rehearsal studio by accident years ago. They are awesome. Impressive. Even in rehearsal studio.lol glad they are still rockn' it. It's hard I know. I worked with many bands it's hard as hell. Keep kicking ass and rockn' faces.
when metal bands in the 80's wrote good ballad songs we didn't call them sell outs we called it great music every thing doesn't have to be pound your head in the ground to be considered good music !!!!!!!
When I went in for my first tattoo this is the band the artist was playing, just an All That Remains playlist. Another good thing that came out of choosing her!
when ATR makes it THIS hard to stay a fan its not easy, man.
This is the most melodically impacting song they have released since Hold On and The Last Time. Best song off the album for sure. Great job ATR
This whole album got me through a dark time in my life. Love All That Remains!
You know that feeling? When you listen to a song and it gives you that instant emotional attachment, and you think of that someone and its that same someone every reoccurring time you here that song. The performers of that song just created a masterpiece. this is one of those moments.
one of the best bands, ALL THAT REMAINS FOREVER!!!!!! \m/

id like to see any of you go this far i dont think so. dont down ATR there better now than any of you will ever play in your life time. thumbs up for ATR
I'm pretty sure everyone on here saying all that remains sold out, are the type of people that only listen to "metal" because it makes them feel like a badass...... phil labonte has always written a song on every album that reflects him personally, wether it be heavy, fast or slow get over it........ the rest of the album kicks ass!!!!!!!
The way the lyrics are shown is awesome af. Uncommon yet effective.

While me and my band covering this song, while headbanging, I can't stop crying. 💔
love ATR, they always had kick ass tunes and still do, this is a dope driving tune, id get into the pedal listning to this for sure, hope they do more like this its killer
The girl who meant everything to me broke up with me recently... this song became my anthem pretty much I couldn’t stop crying because I promised her everything and she was my first relationship that meant so much... she left me and got with another guy about an hour later and I was crushed... when anyone goes through that shit know it’s tough really tough but don’t dwell move on and make yourself a better person and find yourself a better person because someone is out there wondering if they’ll find the one else too and you’re just one step closer to finding the perfect partner. Things do get better rock on my people 🤘🏻

I was browsing You Tube and stumbled on this band by accident, to my shame I have to say I never heard of them, but oh wow.... what a pleasant surprise, what ever some fans have to say, I just like it.
i love this song the more and more i listen to it
Alright I don't understand why there are so many people bagging on this band. Take time to understand what they have to do as musicians they have to change and continually keep up with the times. If maintaining successful albums is "selling out" then im sure you all can be just as creative and get instant mainstream success. The music industry in not easy it takes hard work and they showed that through every album they just want to attract a wider fan base. like the people who "cant stand screamo" and all that blah blah jazz. If anything they are showing more talent and I mean ALOT more talent than the pop stars and dubstep/ electronica
@yunikohh

What I like about them is that they stay true to themselves but also apply elements of rock into their albums to keep a more consistent audience, they're capable of such a diverse tone it definitely shows they're talent as musicians. Also to an extent I agree with what you said about electronic music but that's more so a matter of which style you like there's still some sense of talent present to keep a wide appeal but because it's usually done by one or two people so that's something to keep in mind (I'm a fan of electronic music that's why I say that)
this album was amazing and i was so happy when it came out, i cant wait for th next one

Really a great rock band. Your songs are truly amazing, written so well and the instrumental job is amazing. Love this song!!
Agreed man, I wouldnt say this is terrible, but we need some more stuff like "this calling" and "The air that i breathe"
It honestly doesn't matter what anyone says. The band makes the music they love to play, if they wanted to play differently it's their choice. NOT ANYONE ELSE'S! Either listen or don't.
I think their album cover is awesome!!!
The solo is amazing. RIP Oli..
...Who says they can't expand their musical appeal to other genres besides pure hard metal? "Sounds different, they died out, glad I stopped following them"...no. They are expanding upon their already awe-inspiring musical talent imo. The band possesses a vast amount of vocal skill, & they simply wanted to do this song, this way. The lyrics are an indication of this. So I'll sit back, enjoy it, & let it sink in without blatantly casting it aside as if knowing ATR personally. Food for thought.
So, who else remembers a time when this band was one of the defining bands in metalcore?

This is a great song without a doubt. It's rediculous a "metal" band cannot create a melodical song without being called "sold outs". Screaming with fast riffs isn't the only way to create great music.

Same here, some of my favorite music are melodical songs with meaning by some very heavy bands. And you cant expect even the heaviest bands to be full-tilt screamers all the time, they need to mellow out sometimes too.
Still in love with this band!
I play this song every now and then for the ps4 i lost in a house fire. Miss u baby.
I just starting listening to this guys but i love this song and even almost all of the other song they did. Even the heavy metal stuff. I don't see why people say they doed out when evrything i hear is awesome.

People change, everybody grows older. Nobody wants to scream forever, of course they have changed. Still a badass band, great shit
favourite song from all that remains
A shame this song wasn't out when I needed it.
The thing is, as people get older, they mellow out. Offspring, along with many other bands, have slowly become softer. You guys shouldn't hate on it, it still requires skill to make these songs.
All That Remains really knows how to make a song sound "Full"
