Go back and place your 1st connector and connect to that (blue) 3rd one. Run to the opposite area as shown, grab the connector and take it to the right of the red source to open the barrier to get a 2nd connector, grab it and connect this one to the blue light from the opposite area, now grab the previous connector and connect the blue light to the star barrier.

I have not a single clue how they expected people to figure some of them out. I got a few of them on my own though.

Shayne ducks Maybe the point was that everybody finds a few on their own (maybe just per chance), and then we get together and share our ideas to come further together. Cooperation is a recurring theme in this game, it is emphasized by the QR codes (other robots give you hints) and the time capsules ("only together could we achieve this", "we stand on each other's shoulders" etc.).

Honestly a lot of them follow the same pattern of just lining up lasers into another room. I got 20 on my own

Star 5 in level 4 is not int the three anymore, but on the top of a concrete (statue, tower) near it.

I love that to get the second star in A3 you need to decode the QR code on the clock pillar, and then decode a hexadecimal string from that QR code, where there will be a date with the specific time that has to be set on the clock with the buttons on the pillars surrounding the exit.

10:39 I found a secret tunnel in this entryway room. Towards the back right corner, if you wander in that area, you'll find yourself down a tunnel, it glitches out, then throws you back into the main room entry. You can only do it once, though, so if you do it, you won't find it again (although resetting will allow it to happen again).

Amazed by how you figured out some of the star locations. Did Croteam & friends really expected the average player to find them? I find some of them impossible to find by one’s own means. Actually, I’m scared and amazed by the fact somebody actually found them in the first place and then the word began to spread to the world, so now we have tutorials like this. Thanks, bro. Keep it up.

After my 3rd playthrough I finally managed to get all of the stars in a run. Thanks :)

I actually got star 20 @ 22:52 by climbing the rock formation in the level, balancing a hexehedron and reflector at the highest possible point with a jammer alongside to disable the forcefield so the reflector down by the lock could receive the beam and then keep it unlocked . Took me ages, funny seeing the official way to to it.

Oh that is super clever. Yea I used a totally different strategy too. And came up with yet a third one. Both involved jumps from the outside the level on the right hand side into the level. One to get an extra reflector in. One to just get a reflector in a good spot. But both meathods I came up with used precision jumps to some extent. This one is super nice because it does not require any technical jumps. Which I actually think is possible for all starts. Not sure though.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like you need to update number nine on this list. I figured it out, but it was a bit more complicated (hint "liberate all of the refraction tripods via red beams first, then use the blue beams with all of the refraction tripods to get back to the purple gateway; after finishing the first part, run across the open space to the next purple gateway, and liberate the trapped refraction tripod via redbeam....don't try to go through the orbs, go around on the right-hand side btw. finally, use the refraction tripods to connect the blue beam to the blue beam receiver that he shows and the star is right where the video shows as well). The puzzles look like they got a bit more complicated, but thanks for showing the locations. It really helped.

+Kevin Nadeau If you look at the QR code behind the computer, you won't be able to read any text from it. That made me a little curious so I walked to the other side of the pillar the code was on and there is a clock with roman numerals - the time is XX:VII

That is completely wrong. The clock will indicate the current hour in your computer time, you can even hear it ticking and see the minutes hand moving. The QR code can be read with any barcode reader and will tell you "The Eagle has landed" which is a quote from Armstrong during the Apollo 11 Moon landing. There is also hexadecimal code that you can convert to ASCII text: "31 39 36 39 2f 30 37 2f 32 30 20 32 30 3a 31 38" to the following text: "1969/07/20 20:18", which is the date and time where the moon landing took place. 20:18 translates on the clock to 20 and 7 (since there's no way to input minutes, the handle is perfectly at the 7 mark when it's 18). So the answer to this puzzle is basically reading the QR code and converting the hex text to obtain a time, then inputing that time. There's more to it than just this since this specific time has a meaning, it's too bad that star guides out there are not giving the slightest explanation as to why this is the solution. (Incidentally, 07/20 is also the date of the event but the developers said that they did not realize this when they first integrated it into the game.)

Stuff like this is the reason why people believed Luigi could be unlocked in Mario 64.. on a Tuesday holding your controller upside down and running through the statue 30.5 times of course. The req's for the stars are not satisfactory or enjoyable, in my opinion. They could've done a better job with them, I think. Thanks to this guide I don't have to worry about it. And the sigils are fun enough on their own :)

If you download a QR reader onto your phone it can decipher the code, its nothing important though

Incredible! I had found 28 of the 30 stars. I couldnt find 2 of them because game doesnt tell any location about number 28 and number 30. Even though, the number 28 is impossible to find, let alone number 30, maybe with an extreme luck. Though, some of stars, esprecially im World B and C, can be obtained by different methods. I remember how I got them, and some of them werent exactly like shown in the video. Nevertheless, exquisite video. Thanks a lot for the effort.

There's an exploit for the C3 star. Stack both boxes on the fan in the room at 21:41. Jump onto the fan itself, then onto the boxes, and then to a short wall. All the walls in the area are the same height, so you can walk right over to the third hexahedron. Once you're in that room, there's a snowy hill on the right that you can see for a split second at about 22:22. Run up that and use the same wall trick to get out with it.Now you have all 3 hexahedrons (hexahedrons? hexahedra? I don't know.) without going to the other puzzles.

In contrast, Portal II is still very easy partially! Thanks for this guide!

What do you do with the gray blocks you get out of the star levels?

the one at 15:00 minutes was so frustrating for me since I ended up using the recording machine for the whole thing with a 3 minute recording, which was really annoying lol. By pulling out the fan and prism out of one puzzle and using their copies to get to the star with only 10 seconds to spare running back to the fan under the star before the timer ran out

duude this game looks awsome..

I got 23 without solving the puzzle correctly (jumped out of area from the fan with a crate in hand) and went around to the sigil and walked on top of the wall (box needed). There is also a QR code back there. 24 I got completely by accident trying to kill myself by turret.

I like puzzling, even if it's a bit harder sometimes, but not that kind of way, this is a waste of time. Searching a whole map for these f***ing little bastards, no thanks. I'm glad a tutorial like this exists.

How do you figure out star 4 with the sun dial?

I dont get why, when i was missing one sigilin building a's star room, i went to grab one of the same shape and color in building b, and the lock still ask me the sigil. (I grabbed all the other sigils in a btw)

Star nr. 20: There was an easier way to get that box(hexahedron)? But I placed a connector on the edge of the cliff! o_o

I couldn't even find the first one on my own try. I assumed there is something to do with that extra jammer but never be able to find that switch..

Yeah, this was my exact experience. I walked through the first stage with the second jammer for a good long time, going "Where am I supposed to go with this? What am I supposed to do?" and then just kind of stopped looking for stars in my first play through. Still ended up grabbing a couple of the more obvious ones (like one in C building that is just staring you in the face), but I never saw a gray sigil my first run.
