Hate how some smash fan would think Kazuya is another "shoto" chracter. Which is totally wrong since shoto is a street fighter thing. Kazuya is a Mishima archetype. The Mishimas specializes the ewgf, spinning demon kick and the crouch dash. People should really learned thier gaming history and lore.

I’m a life long Tekken fan. I recognized Kazuya the moment he threw Ganondorf off of the cliff. It’s a call back to Kazuya throwing his own father Heihachi Mishima off the cliff in the first Tekken game. This is awesome!😊🔥🤘🏾

If Wreck-It Ralph doesn't appear as the last DLC fighter I don't mind having a Wreck-It Ralph costume for a Mii fighter there is two more characters who should be a last DLC fighter first one is Crash Bandicoot or second one is classic sonic those are my choices.

I was like that as a kid. I only liked a few Nintendo series. Smash introduced me to other game series. Now I play Mario, Pokemon, Street Fighter, Tekken, Wario Land/Ware, Splatoon, King of Fighters, Yoshi, Star Fox, Overwatch, Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Soul Calibur, Halo, Crash Bandicoot, Shantae, Bayonetta, Final Fantasy, and Digimon. Games series I will be trying out: Metroid, Mortal Kombat, and Shinigami Tensei.

Kazuya is definitely a welcome addition to smash. Namco needed a rep and Tekken is the perfect choice. Plus it’s cool to see another villain added to the roster.

I wouldn't say Kazuya's the villain ..... Feels like every Mishima character gets their turn to be the protagonist/antagonist throughout the franchise. That aside, I totally agree, awesome addition.

Yeah my dream characters are Crash and Dr. Eggman but at the end of the day, we can’t change who gets added to Smash. We should just be thankful that Sakurai is working hard to give us new characters. And Tekken definitely deserves a rep.

I'm actually very surprised how many didn't recognize that someone being carried to a volcano is Tekken. It wasn't until they say Kazuya's glowing eye when they found out it's Tekken. Also, how people can't agree with this? It's freaking awesome!

From what i commonly see, it was either his eye or the volcano. I recognized him from the music choice used. I loved Kazuya's theme ever since Tekken 2.

There were no Bamco reps added to Ultimate's base roster or DLC until Kazuya. Pac-Man was announced for Smash 4 all the way back in E3 2014

It's not so much that Tekken "earned a spot" in Smash, it's more like Tekken took time out of its day to bother with coming to Smash.

Im surprised that nobody recognized the carrying body and throwing it into the lava scene. I mean its very iconic as a tekken scene since the first game. Maybe tekken is not as known as i hoped for, sad :(

Some people didn't play the first tekken game, I only played 5 and 7 so for me it was also a surprise up until they came down with the "Get ready for the next battle"

Poor JD, He had to see Falcon death. Even though it wasn't shown. But my favorite reactions was Max and JD.

Well the first 3D fighter was a 3D boxing game that came out before Virtua Fighter and maybe a while before Tekken. I dont know the name of the game but you can look at a video called "Why Virtua Fighter is more important than tekken" by Virtua Bros to see a snapshot of it in the video.

No one picked up the fact that kazuyas moves in tekken are moved into smash, his Mishima wave, his 10 hit combo and even EWGF

In some defense in how some say Heihachi should be the chosen character, you must remember that his japanese voice actor died not long ago and when that happens in the media they often chose to not include them in upcoming projects, yes excepctions happen like with Bulma on Dragon Ball Super Broly

This the second time that Heihachi's voice actor dies though. Heck he only voiced him in 2 games. Even more heck, the one that recently died was his 4th voice actor.

I'm a heavy Tekken player and a Kirby main. Just seeing him yeet everybody off a cliff is hilarious 😂 then there was Kirby! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Kazuya is pretty amazing, his jabs look amazing with that fire effect, he has a move similar to Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, and his combos look saucey
