The visuals, the tree, and the Captions very helpful. I reeeaallly want to enjoy this video because other breakdowns of the family tree lack a vocal explanation. But boi, this commentary is a reaallly reeeally hard listen. I admire the effort and the time spent, so no shade thrown, I just couldn't make it through the 15 minutes. Still a thumbs up on principle though.

Mudkip looks more based off of an axolotl. I think it’s evolution line should go into salamander/lizard category - the mudkip is also shiney

Regigigas separated the two continents, Shinnoh and Hoenn... Later Groudon created the land of Hoenn (changed the landscape) :)

Well it's complicated... xD Actually In the core series games, Necrozma is not an Ultra Beast and in Pokémon Sun Pokédex entry clarify that it is similar to the Ultra Beasts, but not one of them. In the TCG and manga Necrozma is considered an Ultra Beast. So I just put it with other Ultra Beasts :)

Dragonpult line is a ghoust of a pokemon from the fosil times. So he shuld be in unsasters.

That one salt water Pokémon should be in the coral / oyster category I think. Idk the name but you know who xD Accurate good list though I like it. Funny to see Pikachu paired with bidoof. Okay wasn't actively looking for the shinies until I saw Umbreon, am now rewatching the entire video to find the ones I missed. - Roselia (rewatch) - Gliscor (rewatch) - (Wishiwashi's body is regular, but its eyes are from the shiny - the shiny body is pale yellow, not white like in the image) - Sandslash (first watch) - Umbreon (first watch) - Skwovet (rewatch) - Mudkip (rewatch, not sure how I missed it) - Glalie (first watch) - Haunter (first watch) Am still missing 1-2 (depending on if Wishiwashi counts), time for a third watch..

Wouldn’t Archen be above any legendary bird Pokémons if it was the first bird (in ancestry) Pokémon? It’s not a legendary, but imagine if Ho-oh exists because of Archen.

I think Archen is the first non-legendary bird Pokemon but I can't find any info that clarifies it. Also there are a lot of plot holes in the evolutionary line of pokemon 🙂

It's just bizzare to me that someone would debate in Quora if Mew is the ancestor of Arceus when Arceus pokedex entry mentioned that Arceus is said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world, was born before the universe even existed and Hisuian mythology states that Arceus is the creator of all things. Even some of the answer is , "it's a complicated subject"

@@RaiJin555 Yea, because i considered legendary and mythical pokemon to have a deity status and Arceus to be the creation god. Like while they do have pokemon classification, i don't considered them as an actual pokemon. Take Arceus for example, in the anime he could break and change the law of nature however he like. Or Ho-oh who resurrected three dead normal pokemon into a legendary beast trio. Why Mew can change into even Arceus ? My hypothesis is that Mew is one of the very first pokemon that Arceus directly created, maybe even predates the creation trio. Besides the Legend: Arceus games imply that the 'Arceus' that player caught in the game and seen so far is merely a part of him, a mere small fraction of his power. His real self is somewhere else unknowns and his power is incomprehensible to anyone. In the same way i believed Archen is just (kind) a descendent of Mew and ancestors to all non-mythical and non-legendary bird pokemon.

Wait… Venonat is the Insect pokemon… why is it at the Lepidoptera group

Just some criticism you miss placed alot of pokemon in there how did you do their placement did you go off pokedex descriptions and inferences, was it of body type looks? It seems thats the way you picked a good amount of them and if thats the case that makes it very inaccurate you have pokemon that are dragons in their descriptions that arent in the dragon tree, and you have crainidos as a trex they are nowhere near the same family line one is a carnivore and the other is an herbivore im curious to know what would make you think they are the same also if you werent sure of what classification to give a pokemon you could have put them in each group they could fit in off of description and looks while leaving them open to interpretation i think you did a good job for them most part just think that this video could use the corrections

Well there are a lot of clues that indicate the fact that Cubone is a baby Kangaskhan. In Pokemon Sun & Moon when Cubone calls for help it receives either another Cubone or a Kangaskhan.
