Speaking of small details since I'm already here, at 3:02 Aventurine's left hand is behind his back, referencing how he hides his other hand clutching his chips in fear of losing. It's also interesting how his right hand is almost identical to the hand of his previous owner (wearing rings and a watch) while his left hand is basically bare (just a bracelet). Here, on the Final Victor light cone, his boss fight, as well as his chibi art, all show his right hand with bravado, while his left hand is always hidden behind his back, almost as if to represent the two parts that make the present him: the IPC official (for which he copies his ex owner's mannerism with his motto and his view of people/life as chips) and Kakavasha, who's still afraid of dying/losing despite having already lost everything.

yeah but compared to monodrama for sparkle and the myriad of acheron this was meh. ofc is an unfair comparison because monodrama is the best 3d trailer so far by a long shot, and acheron has the best myriad 2d that is basically honkai 3 history reenacment as fast speed on top of the end of her world. and ofc this is not even counting acheron and BS had a banger animated short. but yeah they have him the most spotlight of everyone else in 2.1 so people will pull for him after that. they now is a hard sell after acheron and sparkle made march the most sold month ever in star rail by a lot with 145m in sales.

Personally, Sparkle’s trailer is best one so far since 2.0, second is Aventurine’s for being simple and good for storytelling, comes next Acheron’s it’s good but feels too forced to sell Acheron with that slash part, and last is BS’s most parts are her in-game animations and it feels just a regular trailer.

Ya if I had to rank my personal top 5 it would be 1 Acheron 2 Sparkle Big gap Now it's hard because quality wise BS and Mr. Vibes is Way higher then Kafka but I liker her Trailer more so to be fair and balanced... 3 Mr. Vibes 4 Kafka 5 BS HM my queen and Ex main Jingliu and SamFly who is probably going to be Acheron lvl let's be real.

Ye, like pretty much what it boils down is that Sparkle's and especially Acheron's trailers are special, while BS trailer is normal HSR trailer in around A-B tier. BS trailer imo is mostly about good music and umm her doing sexy poses, so BS simps definitely gonna rate it higher

Hehe, the contrast in reactions between Mina and the group reaction of Molly/Emily/Sam is... quite a thing. For myself I think one big difference between the trailers that we have to consider is that Black Swan, Sparkle and Acheron's trailers all came before we had the chance to know them in game. For Aventurine, I feel like 2.1 itself is almost like a trailer for him. Plus, we've already gotten the chance to use him in world exploration, combat, etcetera.

I think Sparkle's or Acheron's trailers both had an interesting story hook beyond their flashy animations--With Sparkle having her craziness and also her relationship with Elation, and Acheron's "Find me" both trailers gave me new appreciation for and interest in those characters. Aventurine's was still flashy and well-animated, but it was just him being a gambler so it didn't show anything about him we didn't already know.

Aventurine's marketing are always implicit. But this is a consistent theme regarding to Aventurine. First is the WHITE NIGHT MV, it was only after we finished the story that we now understand that the song, WHITE NIGHT was all about Aventurine. Secondly, the legendary magazine illustration. Aventurine is once again marketed as a "Hot guy" though it can also be intetpreted as his rare vulnerable moment. Personally, I think this is just another mask of his, which is a good looking young man with pretty eyes who is seductive. Thirdly, "The Golden Touch" Trailer, in this trailer, it is only shown about the ideology and "tough front" of Aventurine, a mere gamble crazed guy with God luck. Which is what Aventurine had marketed himself as, towards the IPC and peers. Which is why it came off as a more shallow trailer especially compared to Acheron and Sparkle whose "tough front" and lore is so strong it became the charm point, even to the trailblazer. (Acheron being the embodiment of nihility, and Sparkle... being Sparkle) Even in the short trailer of his past during Sunday's confrontation, we can only see what is perceived by Sunday, which is, again. A mere gamble crazed guy who hates the world for what they had done to him. Remember, in the main story, not even Trailblazer knows about Aventurine. No one in the game knows about his true self, even a speck of it. Few ones who noticed a glimpse of Aventurine's true self is Dr.Ratio (regarding his self destructive behaviour) So I personally loved this take on his marketing. He's so full of lie without outrightly saying he's a liar (or maybe he doesn't even realize it himself) Thanks for anyone reading this long rant lol

Though there are touchs that all indicate his vulnerable sides : White Night with the lyrics and "Take me away" The magazine (for what I know of the translates part), he cannot be more evasive The teaser, well all his backstory was in it Here, "Golden Touch" refers to Midas and to cleanse himself he had to cleanse himself in a river. We all know where Aventurine ends un at the end of 2.1. Also in the trailer, symbolism of Spade, the hand behind his back and the cracks in his dices. It is like in poker : marketing shows off the gold but under that golden poker face, there are cracks. Editing : "a chip is worth a miracle" he has been told all his life that he is a chip so he hopes for a miracle, to be free.

The woodwind is a clarinet, the trumpet player is the real mvp. Those runs are clean as hell.

Personally I find the trailer really catchy and nice. Personally I find it better than Sparkle’s, not Acherons but it is really nice. If Honkai star rail keeps this standard level for character trailer and they only go up with quality, it will be almost like waiting for a new episode of a tv series 😊

Basically, Aventurine has had more treats than most of the characters in Penacony since they focused a lot on his story in the last update, so the lack of that air of mystery in the character's past could be what left him without much emotion compared to the latest ones. banners (For me it's still perfect, the only thing missing is Jackpot)

I like it way more then those 3. It tells a story, a nice one. Unlike visual overload of stimuli it was calm and collected. Love it.

Honestly the incredible streak of trailers could only go so long. It’s still a great trailer, we just got well and truly spoiled in Penacony. I’ll still be pulling for him regardless, especially after his development in the 2.1 story 💖

He's got the touch!

Tbh… I don’t get why people think so highly of Acheron’s trailer Sure it was hype… but that’s because they included Sparkle and the stellaron hunters… not really Acheron with side characters. It felt messy and all over the place. And the music style for it, I just don’t like for electronic stuff, especially since it had no real melody…which makes sense for Acheron but it doesn’t make listening to it any better in my case Black Swan felt comparable to the standard trailers we get. Sparkle’s is the best But Aventurine’s is also much more like Sparkle’s than Black Swan’s. BS didn’t really give much insight into her character. Aventurine’s shows his outer persona, the one he shows when in reality he’s clutching on to his chips for dear life. He acts sassy but later in the trailer when he’s fighting he has his arm behind his back, hiding something. He only stops as soon as he has a guaranteed win and unleashes his follow up and snaps his finger to the chips start falling. We know Aventurine’s lore… but not a single other character besides Jade… this is Aventurine’s act. There’s a reason he was asked to joined the fools. And everyone who even played the story where it was explicitly stated he acts this way even fell for it…

Am i the only one who noticed the trailer is a loop ? he gets his coin when he's young, make it big and then he throw the coin at his feet when he's young so he can make it big again and again, which also matches with what he's saying

I feel like they already revealed all of his backstory in detail, they're not even hinting at what's going to happen to him post 2.1's ending, and they are not willing to reveal so much as glimpses of the other Stonehearts just yet, hence why both the trailer and the short feel a bit bare compared to the two characters before him. Like yeah this is all stuff we already knew about him but the trailblaze quest was already kind of his companion quest with how focused it was on his character, so I'm quite fine with this lol. Spoilers for 2.1 potentially a hot take. I think in terms of preference not cinematically i would say this is my fav trailer so far. maybe its the fact that he is new but i would agree that his trailer is a step down from only sparkle and acheron in terms of the detail of the trailer but tbh the trailers were getting so good it was kinda to be expected. also compared to all other characters acheron and sparkle had a lot more to put in their trailer with out leaking much of their actual story visual wise. take acheron's trailer. in it we saw sparkle, the "stellaron hunters", her on her home planet, torii gates, black holes, the woman in the tv screen, ect and they all relate to her but don't paint a clear picture untill the version came out. Adventurine has 2 things that don't involve his past which is gamba and him being in the IPC. other than that, the stuff about him being one of the 10 cornerstone holders and all the stuff about the past would spoil him too much and then when penecony released it would have been expected his entire storyline making a large portion of 2.1's quest boring. even the hint of kakavisha at the end probably told us we prob going to look at his past but thats not too bad.

Was really hoping for a fu xuan rerun(think she should be next). Not sure to pull for aventurine or her. Help

Gotta disagree haha, i think his trailer is definitely better than BS's, or even Acheron. The animation is smoother with a lot of actions packed in it, doesn't have too many colors to the point the trailer get saturated or too monochrome so it's boring. Really like it, nobody has beaten Sparkle's yet tho😂

Sparkle’s trailer was so good I had to sit down a stare at my screen for a bit. Acheron’s was nice, but Aventurine’s trailer (IMO) is second to sparkle. It fit his character perfectly, no need to rely on a big production.

Def getting Aventurine. No other character is getting the treatment I've given Aventurine. Every sign pointed me towards getting Aventurine. 79 pity and not getting Acheron. The fact Himeko guaranteed him while i was trying to get Sparkle. And the fact that i got lucky enough to get the relics he needed. If those aren't signs, then idk what is

as much as i agree sparkle and acheron trailer are higher quality and definitely had that wow factor, this is just such a fun trailer and refreshing to see after the depressing story quest. personally i really enjoyed it and its definitely one of my favorite trailers

I expected something darker But at first I was like oh so they are going with this form aventurine which was really fun And when I saw little kakavasha I was like oh off screen darkness 😮 It was really good 💯💯💯

agreed. The music was real good, but the trailer was lackluster to me for some reason. Also, didn't realize that there was a atherium wars reference until you mentioned it. anyways I loved him when he was a story required character for 2.1 main story and he fit in with acheron real well somehow. But yeah, might hold back until I've seen him with non sig lc plays along with acheron to see if he's useful to my current teams (DoT and Acheron).

Lackluster in terms of the story and lore maybe, it’s because this was released after 2.1 where pretty much his entire backstory was revealed. But for me I loved how flashy this trailer was, it was sort of like Sparkle’s

you’re right i felt this wasn’t as good as the previous trailers which is crazy bcs everyone including me thought that every new trailer was going to be better than the one before 😭 idk what happened here but hey at least he shined a lot in the tb quest
