I want to give a big HOOrah! to Norm for his stunning accomplishments with finding vintage instruments. It is easy to think that 'anybody can buy and sell guitars' but Norm simply does not make mistakes. And even if he does the complete body of his work covers completely any criticism he might receive. Magnificent career Norm, you have set the bar very high for those who follow you. Also, not to be left unattended, Lemmo, Soriano, Jen and other support staff at Norm's are top tier, best of the best. After watching this video it's easy to forget how many great old guitars that were made, would be so nice to have a collection one day, with Martins, Gibsons, Fenders all hanging my wall, they truly are are pieces of art.

I’ve been buying guitars since the early 70s. It never gets old. Finding the perfect Tele and perfect Tweed... a never ending pleasure. I recently purchased a couple of custom Suhr guitars, which I love, - just to keep me from inadvertently damaging the older more delicate guitars. We don’t all have the budget of Joe B :) Guitar safari 🤣👍

I always wanted a Gibson Les Paul but I coundnt afford one so I had a Les Paul copy. Years ago I scraped enough cash together to buy an old Marshal half stack. I used it for years till it quit working and I put it covered it up and put it away. I was in a guitar shop and told the owner about my old 60's Marshall amp that no longer worked. When he found out it was a 200 watt Marshal Major he said he would trade me for it. I picked out a sweet black Gibson LP with cream trim and a little Marshal mini stack. Straight trade with no money. He said it was a rare amp worth a lot when his techs repaired it. He wanted it for his personal collection. I love the Les Paul.

My New Years resolution is to make another trip to Norm’s and buy another special guitar.

Wow- late for me so I only listened to some of it. So much history. It seems a lot like the car business to some extent. Amazing, how do you find so many in such good condition? Really liked that old 44 Martin. *Sigh* Oh well - sweet dreams.

Hey Todd is back!..not me..I mean the Todd at Norm's!..you know what I mean! I was surprised to see the Guild and D'angelico acoustics with the headstock shapes the same as Gibson. Well...that was a half hour well spent! One after the other! Les Paul Deluxe, Jazzmaster, Tele Deluxe, Strat, a sea of Jazz boxes, and then...SG Special and SG ..is it 'Custom'..with the 3× Gold HB's and sideways vibrola...? Anyway, a feast for the eyes of this old Rocker. 😌

I own a ernie ball evh with the most ridiculous flamed maple neck. It's a translucent blue quilted top. Never seen sunlight, still in its case. How much is it worth? as much as someone is willing to pay!

Funny isn't it, how none of these genuinely old guitars remotely exhibits an appearance equating to the absurd 'heavy relicing' we keep seeing on Custom Shop guitars!

I bought a limited edition Tele in ice metallic blue there a few years ago. Mark and norm gave me a great day and a great deal

Huh? Is he supposed to buy them and sell them at cost? He’s a businessman. It’s not a charity. He’s smart and providing a service selling awesome vintage guitars of all kinds in one place, what’s he supposed to do? Do it for free? He’s making deals, buying guitars and profiting, he didn’t put a gun to the sellers head and make them sell the guitars.

Exactly, that's all this old fool's doing, is driving the prices up. Only idiots would pay the insane prices they're asking for at this rip off store. Also, they're such snobs, they don't let anyone even walk in to just look around, mind you just to look around, not touching any of that overhyped, overpriced stuff anyway. I hate guitar snobs, the majority suck at playing anyway and most can't write a good song to save their lives.

I keep dreaming about going to an estate sale where some old widow just wants to get rid of all that annoying guitar business that the dearly departed was obsessed with since 1950: “Wasted good money on all that foolishness. Look at it! It’s stacked to the attic ceiling! Ridiculous! I’ll take $50 for all of it. You can just take those amplifier things. They’re good for nothing. It’s all good for nothing.”

The '65 Strat is technically not "pre-CBS" but what I think he means is that most of the appointments on the guitar (except for the pearl dots, and white pickguard) are pre-CBS. It would be more accurate to say transition year Strat. That said, Norm knows his sh*t.
