Ironically I just sold my 2020 Aston Martin Vantage and got a XC90 T6 R-Design (incidentally not replacing the Vantage). Honestly, Volvo's a company I'll always support, they make cars the right way. So comfortable, so easy to live with, and so luxurious, and extremely safe. It's obviously not sporty but performs perfectly fine, everything else is way above everything else I've owned and driven. The comfort, B&W system, and ride quality is perfection.

I am sold. I bought xc60 T8 at Sisma. Not just because Bobby says the car is a good buy but I think its worth it especially with the plug in. I am doing my bit to save the environment. The car is like an elegant lady with a dynamic heart. I am taking the pearl white with leather color seats. Hope to get it soon although I'm on the waiting list!

Unlikely. Because if they bring in a CBU fully imported unit, it will be expensive. If they go with the CKD local assembly, there won't be enough sales to justify.

Sometimes I think that we made bad decision buying the BMW. Dont get me wrong, the 6gt is one of their best cars but if compared to Volvo, you feel so short changed. All these fanboys keep complaining about how these volvos have no "feel" or dont have driving dynamic and handling of a BMW. First of all, you will never experience all of that shit in daily driving. Why do you think all the reviewers do in on mountain roads when talking about the driving stuff? When driving the BMW and friend's volvo back to back, these are the things i really miss; 1. Sound system obviously 2. the most comfortable seats ever ( i have mild scoliosis so the seats are godsend). BMW's fake leather and sport seats makes me so tired. ) 3. surround view camera 4. Pilot assist ( controversial opinion but it relieves stress. The ACC on the 6 is so clunky) 5. Small stuff that are supposed to be in luxury cars like memory seats for passengers, full safety systems, apple carplay and android auto and a shit ton of stuff. IMO the way volvo malaysia spec their cars makes them textbook definition of a perfect luxury car. A supremely comfortable daily car with insane power. There is no excuse to not try the brand unless you are a badge snob

Speaking as somebody from America-land, and somebody who owns an Audi S3 and has test-driven a Volvo S60 T6 R-Design, the Volvo is more aloof when you drive it. The transmission doesn't listen to your manual inputs in a timely manner, the steering has zero chatter, and the engine hesitates. I get the opportunity to throw my car around enough that going to the Volvo would have been a step backwards, which is why I didn't buy it. The XC40/60/90 are exactly what they need to be in their segment, but the S60/90 is not; if I'm giving up the practicality of an SUV for a low-slung saloon, I want it to make up for it in the driving dynamics and glamour and the Volvo misses the mark by a reasonably wide margin. Is it a good car? Yes, but it's not going to pull anybody away from the Germans because they've not correctly analyzed the segment.

Bowers & Wilkins in Volvos, is it better or as good as Meridian in Jaguar XJL?

But not in the sense where most people tried to blast it loud and see if it is still clear. Volvo's system doesn't allow you to blast to bejesus levels of volume. It's the clarity and clear definition of the sound that makes it such an experience.

It's of course nicer to drive than the XC90 given the smaller size. The XC90 is a big SUV afterall. And I thought the XC90 was more practical when I went for it. But realised I ended up folding flat the rear seats 99% of the time. But of course, the XC90 has 3 independent seats in the second row as opposed to that of a 2+1 in all 5 seater cars. XC90 is also more hefty. But comfort wise it's only marginally more comfy than the XC60. XC90 has double layered windows too.

I own a XC60 T8, the panaromic roof is the reason I chose T8 over T5. But Volvo Msia need to be sure the new T8 comes with the original air suspension. The spring suspension on T8 makes this car very uncomfortable to sit in especially at the rear seat. The battery just weigh down the car too much. Bobby, please help convey the message.

Just from your presentation of the car we know you should just buy the XC60

I had a V90 for 6 months, then a XC90 T8 for 1 year then an updated XC90 for another year thinking that's the spec that really wanted. But after a year met an opportunity to buy my dream car Aston Rapide S at a price I that I must trade in my XC90 if not my loan wouldn't even be approved so I took the plunge. But at least I know if I am buying another everyday brand new car I will go with Volvo

Let's split them to two things: Mountain roads & Daily Driving. Mountain roads is probably max 10% of the time or less. Daily is of course 90% or more of the time. Take note of that, M&D. X1 vs XC40 M: XC40 D: XC40 X3 vs XC60 M: X3 D: XC60 X5 vs XC90 M: Equal D: Equal 3 vs S60 M: 3 D: S60 5 vs S90 M: 5 D: 5 Got it?

Get a Heico tune, it puts it back to where it was before at 210 km/h (250 km/h for Polestar trims).
