The bottom line will be the price, maverick was attractive because of its affordability for most buyers.

🚧 If it's a truck, it's not about horsepower and turbos are just more trouble. It's about torque if it's a truck !

🛑 It sounds great except for the turbo and if the bed is any less than 5 ft. Long and 4 ft wide. It's America. Standard sizes are at least 4 ft wide and 8 ft long. So like I say you can actually haul stuff if it's 4 ft wide and 5 ft long with a tailgate shut. Anything less is not a useful truck !! Honda Ridgeline so far for the past two decades have been the most practical runaround truck I've owned, especially with a trunk. And when I say run around that's with stuff in the back and I don't have to fold my mirrors in to go through a drive-thru, yes, I've had big diesels also that's a thing of the past.

But if you need that much (5+ft bed), why are you not shopping a Taco? A compact truck is just for getting around 95% of the time & hauling shit only about 5%

Not everyone needs a lakeside limousine. Some folks would like a smaller more “stout” truck. Especially one that doesn’t cost 80k to start

This is great, we need smaller trucks again. These hillbilly haulers have gotten so big and dangerous to motorcyclists and pedestrians. Bring small affordable trucks back!!!
