It's a beautiful truck but you should have made a gasoline version. In my opinion, EVs over-promise and under-deliver. None of them deliver on range as they promise.

...If they do a turbo diesel, manual transmission 4x4 with an off road package, I'm in. Can't get into an electric any more than a CVT equipped truck...

The truck looks good. If it comes with a crew cab and a 6 ft bed it would be a GREAT truck!!

Sorry I live in Texas full everytime is a no, I like the diesel is better butt mileage is a must, why no hybrid? You mentioned a bridge the only bridge is hybrids. Price is ok depending on mileage I figured 35000 for the diesel

When do you expect it to be on the market? Did I hear that it will have gasoline models and diesel models and electric? Can't wait to check one out 😊

No Kia does not. Bought a Kia brand new several years ago, ran fine. Bought another brand new one at the end of 2019 from the same dealer Kia of Carson in California. At three years the high pressure fuel pump, a part mounted directly on the motor failed, and dumped a ton of gasoline into the crank case causing massive billowing clouds of white smoke that stunk of gasoline. I looked it over, did a little research and determined the problem eventually pulling the dipstick, and seeing the oil level was far above normal, and that the dipstick reeked of gasoline. Knowing this would wipe out the bearings it was towed to the Kia of Carson dealer where we bought it assuming it was under warranty. They said no, sorry the bumper to bumper expires at 60k miles, and the drive line warranty does not cover the repair. I ask so the drive line is ok? Really? I said Kia was lucky that we noticed right away or this thing would have completely lunched the motor, or worse just caught fire from the heat, and sparks when the crank, and connecting rods let go. They quoted $1200 for the pump which was on five week back order plus labor. I called corporate and asked for an official copy of their drive line warranty. They said the warranty is described in the owners manual. I read it and it said the drive line is covered but items like tires, brake pads and seat belts are not. They in no way specify what is or is not part of the driveline but for my money the high pressure pump IS mounted directly to the motor, rides on the camshaft, and will completely destroy the motor when as ours did it bagan to dump loads of gasoline into the oil. So my guess is I could have hired a lawyer to argue what the term drive line means in this case but the part from a different manufacturer cost me $83 and arrived the next day where upon I spent a whole ten minutes replacing it. Did not haver another problem until the damn thing was stolen four weeks later. So it got tiktok'ed and found the next day with the rear window broken, the plastic cover on the column broken, the the key switch broken, and the wiper switch broken. I guess the joyrider didnt like the wipers going since it wasnt raining so they broke them both off. They also left the key on when they dumped it and ruined the AGM battery. AAA was the full coverage insurer, and estimated $1400 for repair which is about right. Kia wanted AAA to pay $4000+. Now remember these Kia cars getting stolen are covered under a class action suit where tiktok paid Kia billions, and Kia is supoposed to fix these cars free of charge but they wont. They are delaying any compensation for the owners of Kia cars that are stolen. I assumed they would fix it on their dime like the court said but NOOOO they refuse so the owners must go thru their insurance company which is way overcharged by Kia for the repair, I have to pay a $1000 deductable, and I have been without this car which we are making payments on since July last year. So we have been making payments on a car we can't drive from a company which refuses to honor their court agreement. Kia even demanded we pay the full repair cost up front before they would even start the repair. Have you ever heard of that? So I let the insurance company handle it knowing Kia will eventually be forced to follow the courst instructions and make up for the extra expenses of towing, storage, deductable, and rental car. A rental car since July last year? Shit it's May 1st 2024 now, and still we have not gotton the car back. Oh they did say it would be done soon in a text from the dealer but specified no date, but they did say to bring the $1000 insurance deductable, AND A CAR PAYMENT. What? Who made you the lienholder? These people have lied to my face telling me in the beginning they had no idea Kia's were being stolen, or that Kia had been paid billions by tiktok for publishing how to easily steal Kia cars, or that they had ANY responsibility for anything. When they began hanging up the phone on me I again called corporate, and they again had no information regarding how dealers were treating customers but said every dealer is different, and can do what they want. Now if you call about your stolen Kia corporate will not answer. They have instead built a computer generated maze of questions that go no where just to fuck with your head. Kia sucks, and I will never, ever do any business with them as long as I live. Just look up Kia problems, or Kia theft, anywhere on you tube and you wil;l see immediatly they can not be trusted to honor even the most basic responsibilities set forth in their warranties, or set forth by federal judges even after they have been found liable for all costs relating to post theft repairs. This is simply the sad truth, and I suspect they do not care because they have already ruined their image with existing customers. I suspect they will exit the country. I sure hope myself, and my insurance company are finally reimbursed by them but I suspect the billions from tiktok will vanish, and Kia America will declare insolvency stiffing me, and my insurance company for the whole thing. I really, really, really detest thieves, liars, and cheats, and I thoroughly believe Kia to be guilty of being all three. What do you think? How many of you had your kia stolen, and are getting the same runaround? Are they too big to mess with? Too big to fail? All I can say is my government needs to step up and protect the little guy from crepes like these.

So there is a full-court press by manufacturers doing promotional videos on You Tube and other online platforms. But the happy talk is bizarre and not to be trusted. I have a '17 Sorento, 3.3 V6 I really like, but since then the V6 is gone and the excellent 6 speed tranny was replaced with a dual clutch auto that NOBODY likes. Then there's the story of Kia 4 cylinder engine problems. This seems to be happening with most makes now. In five years, will there be a rebellion against 4 cylinder and even 3 cyl turbo engines due to turbo failures?

This Kia looks like a jacked up station wagon, what are you going to throw in back? not many will want to tow anything and do you need something so high and less economical than Tucson or Sportage unless you want to go gently off road. It will be more expensive to run in fuel and tyres.
