Isn‘t there an alternate way to import European cars to the USA? In Germany we have special importers where one can order all kinds of American cars even though they are not officially being sold in our market.

@@Thorsten753 Unfortunately no. Our government implements idiotic regulations that don't allow us to import most cars unless they are 25 years old, or they are limited production. In the case of the latter they can only travel so many miles per year.

yes it would be cool to see the 7 speed inaction, but you will need to wait till next year before it appears, and its only on the petrol (oddly it was only on the diesel for the MK3.5)

@@Mogsy28uk actually the dealership I went to said it's going to be available when they start taking orders in a few months. And I'm pretty sure it's going to be a torque converter auto, not a dual-clutch.

You don't have to, they're already widely available. Already test drove one at my dealership in Germany.

FORD USA, If you're paying attention, please bring this car to the U.S. / North American market. You are doing your own citizens a disservice by not selling your best cars to us. We NEED this car here!

It’s growing on me... didn’t like it at first but think I will trade in my 18 plate focST in 2 years for this, maybe wait for for the RS?

Does anyone know the exact sizes for the wheels they are allowed to use for this car ?17?18?19?

At 0:34 what are these two markings? I guess left of the honeycomb grill is the the towing hook? But what is underneath the left front beam? Optional beam wipers? Or what is it?

Maybe it depends on what light you have, LED or Halogen. My old Focus Mk2 does have it, because of the bi-xenon light.

headlight washers. necessary if focused light exceeds 40W. Normal on Focus MK2FL,MK3,MK3FL and MK4 if power of the light is high. On MK3 comes with LED+Xenon lights. On MK2FL and MK2ST/RS, with xenon lights or the adaptive light system,

When is the automatic coming out? Need it urgently. Otherwise i'll end up getting end-of-its-lifespan cupra or gti.

I believe delivery starts in November at least November was mentioned in most reviews.

I like the fact that the engine has bucked the trend of reduced displacement. If only there was the option of a 3-door, for me the choice between this and the Fiesta ST would be simple.

José Correia it’s barely any bigger than the mk2 Focus which was available with 3 doors. Not a big car by many people’s standards. And why would it be bad? There are many larger coupes without rear doors.

My dealership offered me a discount from 36k EUR to 30k EUR. Ford cars are rarely sold at list price. Also, it's about 1-2k more expensive than the outgoing ST spec for spec.

Really!

The point is that the car is very conservative, i could say that lacks of inspiration, a hint of challenge or enthusiasm to the future owner.A Honda Civic, or Renault Megane, tells more.

The rear lights look dated. Surely Ford can darken them and use LED for the indicators and brake lights? The old Golf 7 has full LED rear lights. Ford Europe needs to improve vehicle technology and interiors.

BTW Ford Europe and models are much better and evolved compared to VW smoke group. SEAT Ibiza looks cheap compared to a fiesta and is more expensive, Golf is much more expensive and in terms of interior is the same compared to a Fiesta ST line. In terms technology and the inside placement of the screen, wheel, etc is years ahead. Fiesta Has the the best driving position of the segment, just go see all the video from the most rated KZreadrs that review cars. Do not judge other brands without removing your head from the sand, or in this case from inside the smoke cloud of VW. VW is becoming the outdated brand nowadays, its expensive and lacks the quality that is used to have back in the 90 and early 00's

@@jorgenascimento9710 sadly you are wrong. Focus (even if I have one) is still way behind the competition. Check the bonnet and the "stick" instead of gas struts.

@@edmunek lol not even the old Scirocco R had a gas strut there while even the old normal golf 5 had. Also that's a weird way of measuring technological advancements. As of right now, obviously the new focus is miles ahead of the golf 7, a comparison with the new golf 8 is gonna be what matters.

Even my old MK3 focus st wagon has full LED rear lights. Ford has had those for ages.

@@cy9nvs you don't have full rear LED but only the rear position LED lights. brake, reverse and third brake lights are normal bulbs on MK3. Same with indicator. You can replace some on your own.

Shameful you guys are denying your US enthusiasts this car. Not all of us want a bloated SUV...

Why does Ford always use this ugly monitor? There must be a better way to integrate this in the cockpit.

It’s 2019 Ford, no led lights, no virtual cockpit, same old orange that’s been around for over a decade..... its needs more than copying the RS drive modes to improve this for the money your asking. It needs a facelift already.

the whole car is LED lights, adaptive outside and inside too, i've been in two already, the orange is the new Orange Fury the Mustang got last year, not Tangerine Scream as on the MK3's -- do a little research pls? I agree about the virtual dials bit, but they are looking at costs (Mustang unit is too big for the Focus dash i guess), when they have added so much and bigger engine already.
