They can't for these reasons 1: Federal US law states no cars sold in China can be sold in the USA ever. That's why China does Chinese car rip-offs. 2: All Ford sedans and Hatchbacks are being discontinued by 2021 because Sedan sales have dropped and people are now buying SUV, CUV, Sports Cars, and Trucks. Sedans are all slowly being discontinued in the USA, GM is doing the exact same now with a lot of their sedan varients

Couldn’t you just import one yourself? We only get European Fords and since 2015 the Mustang. So I imported a Mustang from Florida in 2010.

USA federal law states and it hasn't changed anywhere, you cannot import a vehicle until it hit 25 years old as it is a 'classic' car at that age. Or you can waste your time and set the whole car to Federal regulations for safety as the only reason the Focus can't be sold is because it's now sold in China which is another federal sale law I don't need to explain. The importing of those cars will be 100 times harder now from sales in China now for getting them to make US regulations on them. So we cannot import them until 2054-2055

The reason the focus wasn't selling was because they didn't change the design for nearly a decade. I'm surprised they didn't realize the real problem, instead of discontinuing it.

Imperial understeer at 0:54... Ford's gonna have to do a lot better than a mere 0-100 to prove that the mk4 FocuST is... driver-focused enough compared with the mk8 FieSTa... If -for once more- this is not the case, there are other choices too, more... focused.

Is this too the case where the Fiesta ST outhandles the Focus ST?? Ford always mess up Focus ST, but Fiesta STs are spot on with the Mechanical LSDs, ELSDs well, I don't think they are as good as mLSDs

It's a Borg Warner electrical controlled LSD, just like the Golf GTI pp and Clubsport have. Way better than the old "brake" Diff which the old Mk3 ST had.

@@invincible2847 Well, only a test drive will confirm whether its better or not, I am totally impressed by the way the new Civic Type R drives, and I hope the new ST would be able to hold its own against Type R, if not able to beat it. The Golf R PP was great in terms of traction, but felt numb at times, still any day better than MK 3 Focus ST

Fiesta ST cheaper, mechanical LSD, way more weight balanced (no understeer), better sound, lighter and just some tenths slower on 0-100 than this one.... On track it will beat the Focus ST any day.

@@snsofhumor Have you seen any real life test showing how the electronic one outperforms the mechanical one, other than marketing videos? Because I remember for example similar marketing videos of the Clio RS saying their "electronic LSD" was excellent, and in real life it was simply a big fail. Yes, tenths, not seconds. I didn't try the focus st, but this is what it looks like from track tests done on the Nurburgring.

@@yf-zp5zf Real life test is only possible, if u build 2 exact same cars with different diffs. I'm sure, they exist somewhere in production simulation, so no, I haven't. But there's no point for Ford to put a more expensive e-lsd in a relatively budget car for no performance gain.

@@yf-zp5zf The clio doesn´t have lsd at all. It is a brake based system like the old fiesta mk7 and focus mk3. That´s trash. The system in the new mk4 focus st is a clutch pack with hydraulic pump. Exactly the same as Cupra, GTI pp and clubsport, i30N performance.... a real physical system.

Still boring AF to look at though 😂
