Bought my father's old Dodge a few years back and still have it. He ordered it new a couple of weeks before I turned 16. I'll be 50 in April.

Not everyone has had bad experiences with Dodge pickups... I can guarantee that 95% of the Dodge owners out there are more than satisfied with their pickups, its the last 5% that might go online and publicize it in reviews, etc. The only reason those 5% end up doing so is because their trucks were either made on Monday when everyone is too hungover from the weekend or a Friday truck when everyone doesn't give a fuck about work! Don't get a Monday truck or a Friday truck!

Respect for the other brands but DODGE, JEEP give american car industry recognition. reliability.

@FDD2012 And we have an 01 Sequoia, eccentially a Tundra SUV, and the only problem it has ever given us was 1 bad fan sensor, and the waterpump was starting to go bad. Thats it.

What is the conventional towing capactity of the ram 3500 drw 4x4 mega cab? I cannot possibily find it on the website only the 5th wheel towing capacity?

@blownutsmyass Actually, I found this out after posting that comment, Dodge and Toyota were ranked as the two most over all American automakers. The Tundra is 80% American, and I think the ram is 75%. Silverado 61% and F150 is 60%

@blownutsmyass Ok, Im very satisfied with my ultra low miles 262,200 mile Toyota 4Runner. never letting us down once. Its been in the family since 1994, so Im sure we know how that truck is gonna be.

@blownutsmyass I didnt say all Dodge owners were un satisfied. And the Tundra since 2006 has been the 1/2 ton with the least problems reported. But, I was jsut sayin I was happy with my Yota.

@FDD2012 Just to let you know, the Tundra is the most American full sized truck. It has 80% north American conent, Ram has 70%, Silverado 61% and f150 has 60%. Only the Dakota beats the Tundra for trucks, it has 84%. Becuase the Tundra is so American, the majority of the Money STAYS in AMERICAN'S pockets, not the ceo's of corrupt auto manufacturers.

@moparman95 The Tundra does not have an HD yet. Toyota is waiting for the market to improve to develope one. It will probably come in the next gen Tundra. Yes the cummins is the best diesel engine, but it is surrounded by the best HD. For HDs I choose Chevy (motortrends 2011 truck of the year) Duramax ftw.

@ModestJoe No, nothing wrong. Everytime Im near any Dodge vehicle 1990+ it has constant problems. While all the GMs, Fords, Toyotas, ect never do.

@FDD2012 Umm, Yeah I look at the side of the road, thats where all the "domestics" are, broken down. But, the "domestics" are bought by FLEETS (not good), while the Tundra and Tacoma are bought by personal use buyers for mixed things like offroad use, towing, hauling, ect. You only really see Tacomas in fleets. But fleet vehciles are not a good thing for a truck's sells records. And most Tacomas are sold to people, not fleets. Why do you think hardly any are rentable?

@moparman95 Ok, cause the Tundra can tow more then a ram 1500, is more reliable, looks better, ect. Ford's Powerstorke 6.0 was a flaw by design at International, not Ford. The 7.3, 6.4, and 6.7 Powerstrokes are flawless. The 6.2 Chevy is about ar realiable an engine gets. And it gets 25 mpg. The 6.5 was a flaw. But the Duramax is all good. Cummins, amazing. If only it was in a Chevy or Ford. Then Id have one, to bad they arent.

@moparman95 Then you are comparing the 4.6 Tundra to the 5.7 Hemi ram. The Tundra 5.7 can tow 10,800 lbs, and has a payload rating of 2,200 lbs. Why dont you research in a fair comparison. 4.6 Toyota vs 5.7 Dodge. Not equal.

@moparman95 Oh yeah, and what about the thousands of unsatisfied Dodge owners that turned to Toyota, Ford, or GM for a reliable, quality built truck? Dodge had so many problems and maybe a few of the were recalled. Toyota stepped up to their problem, and recalled it. Chrysler didnt. And Toyota's proble, was proven by the government as Driver Error.
