You guys are all wrong. The payload specs have always been posted on the truck along with gvwr, gawr, and others. But the towing capacity itself has never been listed. I have a 2017 Ram 1500, a 2015 Ram 1500, a 2013 Ram 3500, and a 2018 Ford F250 at my shop and none of them have the words "towing capacity" anywhere on any of the trucks. If I'm wrong, please tell me and I will retract my statement.

Totally agree!!! I couldn’t figure out why it was so ugly, but you hit it right on the head. You’d have thought they’d have learned from the Aztec! The prior model looked like the family truckster from the movie Vacation. Sometimes you have to ask yourself if General motors is trying to go bankrupt with the stuff they do. They need to fire the designers!

I'm impressed with the numbers on that gas truck. Tows almost as much as the diesel. I'm also impressed the diesel didn't lose much in payload, as diesels usually do. Good work Chevy!

No it a safety net for idiots that think it's ok to shut off a hot truck. It's a tool to prevent warranty turbocharger claims. As anyone that knows anything about oil and heat(hot parts), the oil will coke(bake) into the bearing journals of the turbo if shut off with a minimum 2 minute idle period(its written in the owners manual, but who reads those??lol)

@@DJKiDDKlashez a cool down is beneficial to all engines. Engine oil is a lubricant, and it takes heat away from critical internal parts. So to allow any engine to idle for a minute after a period of hard work is good. Allow the oil to circulate a bit before shutting down.

Turbo’d tuner cars been using em for decades. Surprised this isn’t standard on new turbo vehicles

I really like the new front ends. It grows on you after awhile. I got to drive the silver 2020hd Duramax (my favorite), the black LT 6.6 gas, and the silver RST 1500 3.0 Duramax at the same drive event. I loved them all! Lots of new little details you only notice when spending time driving. It was pretty cool when they showed us the camera inside the trailer and there was a corvette! My wife drove the dually single cab with the Anvil down the airport runway! She had a blast!! I also drove the red crew cab dually and the White 2x4 1500 Duramax. We Chevy Legends drove all these before Andre...just braggin😀 Thanks Chevy!!

After buying my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3l v8 last Tuesday, I love it and will always own a truck for the rest of my life

The GMC HD looks much better. The front end on the Chevy HD is painful to look at.

@@kfcfan I do not plan on towing anything over 12 000lbs and most of the time it wouldn't be towing at all. Plus a fair bit of short distance which is not good for a diesel. I just need a truck that has the capability to tow about 11000 comfortably once in a while.

Man, I’m not crazy about the new 1500 design but I really like this new design for the 2500! I’m surprised there are so many bad comments... I love the style of my ‘18 1500 however I would really consider this as my next truck. Anymore all the trucks are well built it all comes down to personal preference and how well you take care of it. Thanks for the video!

The new heavy duty Silverados are really growing on me. I would definitely buy one

The previous HD model reminded me of the 90s Silverados. It looked really good! Chevy completely changed everything. This new truck looks nothing like any of the previous generation but honestly, I like this new look a lot too!!

I just saw a 2020 3/4 ton custom leaving the Chevy dealer yesterday, and it's massive!!!

Front end needs a complete rethink. That hood is outrageously high. Seems like a miscalculation.Just put the half-ton front clip on it as a temporary fix. Too bad since it seems like a feature packed rig. My guess is that these will be great value if you can live with that face. Then again, I don’t fall within the target demo. Great stuff as usual Andre

Its because on the L5P the hood scoop is actually functional that's why it's so tall

Took me a minute, but I've warmed up to the new design, just like I have the 1500. I will probably get a 6.6 gasser for my next truck.

This is actually one of my favorite trucks right now. Especially the blue one with the chrome grille, although I'd prefer the truck in black with the chrome grille.

Glad they got a new heavy duty v8 motor. The 6.0 was mad reliable but it needed an update. Glad they went with this. Hope to see very good power add ons for this motor soon for some real workable power

Cup & Cone not really sure if what you said is a compliment or a dis to the truck lol Idk, could go either way And as for me, I’d much MUCH rather have a handsome good looking truck that might look a little dated over a butt ugly truck that might look new lol He’ll take the new Ram HD. I think it looks a hell of a lot better before the refresh but it’s still ok looking. But before the refresh it was the best looking HD, hell best looking pickup truck of any class. I know styling is subjective, but I’d honestly have to say the best looking truck to me in the past 20 years or so is the Dodge Rams from 94 to 2001 (didn’t care for the later Sport models curvy grille bottom though) Idk what exactly about that generation of Dodges that made it look so good but even today they look great (as long as they aren’t rusted out lol)

Hood scoop should be exclusive to the L5P Duramax only in my opinion, since on the gas it serves no function.

I'm not going to lie I really like the way the custom looks, I'm incredibly interested in it. I have a 04 2500hd extended cab long bed, 2wd with the lq4. She only has 92k miles and I love it but it's a W/T trim so it really doesnt have much at all in terms of options, just cruise, power windows and locks and single disc CD player lol. My wife has horses and I tow other stuff so it's hard managing everything so a new truck would be lovely and I'm really digging these new silverados.

I have a 2018 Raptor and I like the new Chevy look. Looks really nice to me.

Wow how did GM get their payload numbers so high? Loaded 3/4 ton diesels are usually around 2000 lbs. Very impressive.

I originally wasn’t a fan of the styling but it’s grown on me a lot. I like it. I’m also really excited about the new gas V8. I love the 6.0L but this one should be badass

I think with the halogen lights, it’s looking really Aztec like. If your going to throw a futuristic design at the wall, some crisp white LED headlights help it stick in my eyes.

let me fix this. 1) RAM 2)GMC 3)FORD 4)CHEVY There is a reason Ram won best looking truck of 2019. GMC also has a nice body but the interior is outdated and really disappointing for a 60k vehicle, Ford interior is the same but the body is redesigned and very blocky, Chevy.... Well need I say anything? You shouldnt pass a Chevy dealership and think your looking at a Toyota Camry.

I feel that GM absolutely nailed the exterior design of the GMC half ton and HD trucks, but really missed on the Chevys. To each their own though.

Styling he been growing on me. Not what I envisioned but definitely looks better after seeing it debuted for the first time.

Probably gotta see this in the flesh to really judge its styling. I suspect it will look great since Chevy usually does an excellent job on exteriors. i will have to go to the Auto Show this year and check it out.

That is also my favorite Chevy HD with the Custom trim and monochromatic look. But I went with the GMC because it offered the heads up display and prolift tailgate not available on the Chevy. I do like the front end better on the GMC as well.

I think the doors are a bit bland but not that bad, I love the bold, prominent front and rear ends! I also love how Chevrolet is spelled out!

I have a gas 6.6 gmc. Today I noticed a bunch of ice completely closing the hood scoop. Good thing mine is only for looks.

They are showing all these new features on this truck, and ford and dodge have had them for five years
