“We must act now, We must stop this Deadly Alliance” it stills give me chills till today

Deception will always be peak MK to me. It's Konquest Mode, Chess Kombat, Puzzle Kombat, art direction and atmosphere is just incredible. I just hope we will get something like it in the future.

Ps2 MK intros were so godlike. Every single one was amazing, the storytelling of Deadly Alliance, the unexpected team up in Deception, Shaolin Monks was pure fight choreography perfection and Armageddon was the perfect end to the series/generation.

I live how Armageddon flows into MK9, just like it should be

I like how special forces intro is like a comedy sketch you would see on adult swim or comedy central late at night.

The MK9 one was brutal😨

Same here. Very few franchises have the balls to kill off the main protagonist for 4 games straight, in the intro scene

Armageddon had the best intro hands down.

Raiden's Narration Voice Acting was *chef kiss* at MK V (Deadly Alliance), I still get chills with the last line: "We must act now, we must stop... This Deadly Alliance" dun dun dunnnnnnnnnn! 😂. And it was awesome how the story continued so smoothly into Deception as well.

It's amazing how smooth and beautiful the introduction of the MK Deception is.

For the ones that were there in 1993; MKII was out of this world! You would enter an arcade filled with machines, pinball and noises everywhere, and MKII's attract mode was heard above everything else! It was a thunderous sound filled with bass that rocked the entire place! ALL you heard was Da-DA dada dadada! then the sound of the bell gong when someone put in a quarter.

Frfr. Street Fighter 2 Championship edition just came out. Also Killer Instinct. MK 2 was the only competition at that time at the arcades. Epic times....

When Mortal Kombat 2 was really hot, Mortal Kombat film came out, the dallas cowboys were The Dallas Cowboys and the side boob was everything to a young man 😅

As a kid the intro to Deadly Alliance used to scare me so much. In hindsight it's also pretty ballsy to kill of the main hero and main villain of the MK series (up to that point) in an opening cutscene.

I know folks went crazy with the Deadly Alliance intro we didn’t have social media at all during those times so imagine playing day of release and going to school the next day 😂😂😂😂

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance raised the bar for the franchise and brought MK back as one of the best fighting games ever. I love how the story of Deadly Alliance continued directly in MK: Deception and the main timeline pretty much concluded in Armageddon. The timeline got reset at the end of Armageddon and that's where MK 2011 and MK: X continue. I'm really hyped for MK 12!

In one sentence ? "Mortal Kombat has always been...and always will be..."

Deadly alliance could’ve been the best game if they made it around this time. “Lui kang is dead…” shivers down my spine.

Each intro gives us that feeling of adventure, yet after each game, everyone fails.

The Deception intro convinced me that Onaga is capable of being the new GOAT villains in MK. They just have to do him right

Wow coming from someone who beat and played deadly alliance, deception, including the konquest mode as shujinko and Shaolin monks this gave me goosebumps and a smile thanks 🙌🤙🤙

MK Deception is truly Mortal Kombat at its finest. The newer games are so much fun but they don't truly feel like mortal Kombat.

felt this way for a long time. yes mk 9,10,11 are fun fighting games with mortal kombat characters, but there is just something that felt different in the 3d era especially deception. i miss the mysterious feeling i felt while playing those games, from the character designs, arenas, music, aesthetic,and overall atmosphere and vibes. it felt like ‘ mortal kombat ‘, it was so different than other fighting games. the 3d era had such a grim, dark, surreal, menacing tone to them, midway really put some love into those games, and that feeling left when NRS took over

Is MK v DC even canon? And if it somehow is, where does it fit in the timeline? Definitely can’t actually be between Armageddon and 9 for obvious reasons, even if that’s when the game came out.

Shaolin Monks has the best intro, followed by Armageddon, but the one with the best music is and will forever be MK2. MK2 is Mortal Kombat perfection.

I noticed something in mk9 intro.... Scorpion and shinnok was the last running up the pyramid at the end of Armageddon intro so why is scorpion all the way back on the ground? Also Mileena got thrown off the pyramid so why is she so high up?

I’m assuming that the kombatant’s positions all changed in between the beginning of Armageddon and of MK9. Johnny pushed Sonya from halfway up the pyramid, but they’re both dead at the bottom, also Onaga flew off with Shao Kahn, but Shao is fighting Raiden at the top, so obviously there was time in between.

I hope they bring back create a character again

In my opinion, mk shaolin monks intro had the best ever costumes for scorpion, sub zero and reptile

Honestly the only bad thing about Deception was the ending for the Konquest mode, if they had added the final fight inside the Konquest then it would had been the best Mortal Kombat game ever because it had it all. Well that and the fact that you couldn't use Raiden's blue costume despite the fact that you literally fight Raiden with that costume in the Konquest Mode. Btw did you know Deception had the intro censored in Europe for some reason?

The problem is Shujinko cannot defeat Onaga at the Nexus. We must remember that he needs to gather all the warriors to 1 place to absorb all of their power and deal blows to smash the Kamidogu and defeat Onaga

@@minhvu8057 yeah but they could have added one last mission where you had to travel trough all the realms and ask all your masters to help you defeat Onaga and then go to the Outworld to have the final battle. That would have been the best ending in any Mortal Kombat game.
