It seems like a compilation from the month of April, Nothing new here

The world is moving so fast in the ai and robotics industries that I feel like it’s slow if there is not a major announcement each week. I’m both scared and excited.

"Hello Dave" That robot just needs a red light in the middle and it could get really scary.

Have you seen the ads where advertisers generate the voice of someone famous, and overlay a video of them speaking? They usually end up quoting BTC dollar amounts. No idea who is doing this but I have seen a few ads on KZread.

I don't understand why they limit putting the cameras only on the front

IMO Devin will be similar to most other major AI systems, only as good as its user. I frequently get highly educated, even very technical robotics engineers, scientists and programmers telling me the thing I am saying I am able to do with AI is impossible... then I show them and 🤯. It's learning like anything else. The vast majority if people are capable of it if they are willing to put the effort into learning it. Further, if you want it to fail and aim to get it to fail - it will. People have biases, fears, and agendas. AI is extremely scary for many people.

Personally if you put it in a historical perspective, I would say 10 years is around the corner.

I can see the different types of hands be offered as premium accessories.

The next challenge for Boston dynamics robot is how to reduce the noise it makes while operating

I don't think the noice comes from the robot. I think its from other sources.

On the Tiangong Robot: "It's apparently the world's first fully electric-powered anthropomorphic full-sized humanoid robot." Is there any way that this statement could qualify as true?

atlas v2: the spare change in my pocket:

The old atlas used hydraulics (big tubes on its sides filled with hydraulic fluid). The new atlas uses electric motors instead. Pros and cons to each.

All i can see is a Atlas robot crushing a protesters head while this voice comments: "These new grippers are slightly unsettling". Or is it just me?

I correct myself. It would say: " These new grippers are rather fascinating".

So, what is the plus side of having humanoid robots working in manufacturing plants? Especially automotive ... where they have already in place the heavy duty, mechanical robot machinery, producing so much presently. The humanoid robots seem pretty weak, and can only do so much compared to what they already have in use.

I don't think it's possible to incrimentalize exponential leaps in technical understanding & progress. The first out of the gate never finishes first. To distort with repression the rate of technical breakthrough reaching the public will only guarantee the jailbreaks will become more disruptive & surprising when then do inevitably come.

what's funny is that people complain certainly about others engaging activity with AI and favorising virtualisation of what should be natural human interaction but truth is if people do that its probably to have more sincere and normal interaction and u could say more human cause the world start to be in another economical recession period and people tend to be more fake and mask on like it started in the us at first and now come to the world, this way of acting to survive where AI become more human than people snaking their way (pretty much like human pet relation tbf)
