Doyle Brunson once said he raised so many pots in a row winning them all; u can't go to the game thinking this is gonna be ur downswing. Nothing wrong with preparing for a bad night but think of it this way; if a skier flying down a hill gets into a thicket of trees he can't think "don't hit a tree"! If he thinks of trees that's where he's headed. U gotta plan a route to exit the trees and take it! Good luck at the tables!

Most places have a method for you to avoid carrying cash in and out. Either a front money account set up, where they’ll hold your money safely like a bank, or a lock box. A lock box is similar to a safety deposit box in a bank. They’re usually free of charge, less the key deposit.

The downswing after the upswing is always bittersweet, 30k+ in less than a month of poker is unreal, keep going!!!

I love your dog. I used to sneak my beagle into my hotel rooms in AC (in a big bag) about 15 years ago before hotels were dog friendly. It was always nice to come back to a pooch that was happy to see me after every session and taking him for a walk would always help me wind down. Plus he was always interested in my bad beat stories. :)

I absolutely love playing with the guy from the first table on your left dude showed me a few tips while I was playing my first few tournaments and he just plays the game so aggressive and never lets off it’s very fun to play with him

Good take on Texas vs Florida poker. I’m from Texas, so this is where I started playing. A few years ago I moved to Tampa and was surprised by how passive the players were. Then I moved back to Texas and got run over a few sessions before I adapted back to Texas style poker.

Come on Lex, it's Texas hands down. Of course, I live in Texas and love playing big pots. The big pots are the reason you are on a 37k upswing in less than a month. I play mostly 1/3, sometimes 2/5 and even at the 1/3 a 1k-1.5k night isn't unusual. Keep up the grind, love watching your vids. Look forward to the vlog where you say you have decided to make Texas your home!

You just encapsulated everything I've said about Texas players. There's a lot of people here with very deep expendable income because there's really not shit to do here. Your choices to spend money here are restaurants, bars and strip clubs. If you venture north to Winstar casino, you will see tons of Dallas residents dropping more money into the machines and table games than you will ever see in Vegas. This also leads me to believe Winstar and Choctaw casinos might have an influence on trying to shut down TCH Dallas. Their poker rooms are empty now compared to before TCH Dallas opened.

Lex, please have security escort you to your car. I've resided in Dallas for a while now and the area surrounding TCH is viewed as high crime. Before TCH Dallas opened, I've played in a lot of private games around DFW and the majority of them get robbed by gun carrying thieves who likely have knowledge of the money involved in poker.

I think I am running very good. My hands are holding up. I’m getting lucky when behind. And getting paid off when making monsters. I’m not sure if my game has changed much . I feel like I’m more experienced but I also think I’m just running hot
