Love the content!! You need to seek advice from Brad Owen on how to up your views by learning the algorithms of KZread. He went from like less than 30,000 views a video to now close to 500,000 views

I’m a dealer at a card house in texas and we do bomb pots every dealer change so every 20-30 minutes depending but I think they help bring action to tables and I enjoy playing in them when I play.

the youtube money is awesome, 30k in a year, usually people have to grind like you did for years before breaking through. You came at the perfect time where there was probably less than 5 good content creators so you got on the train perfect timing. Towards the tail end of 2021, there was already probably 50 people trying the same thing, watering down the market but the mains brad owen, rampage, polk, you, and couple others are the mains. Congrats on the success

Not played poker in 10 years, use to be a pitt boss in a uk casino and played online everyday my mood was crazy up and down all the time. Left and worked on cruise ships for 6 years and kind of left poker, but watching your vids for the last year giving me he buzz again, super happy with myself im not going crazy again on poker but in 1 year i won like $30,000 winning 4 massive Poker stars torneys, well massive for me lol.

I happened upon one of your more recent vlogs and have since been steadily working my way through them from the start. It’s really helpful to see how you are progressing and how you handle various spots. I also enjoy the looks into your personal life. Re: PLO bomb pots, I think there is some value in broadening your background and that learning to play Omaha or other poker/strategy games adds to your hold ‘em perspective-kind of like cross training improves sports specific skills. I also agree with others that playing in those pots is an investment in the action players at the table.

Great vlog. I would play the bomb pots, especially if the other players are recreational and want to gamble. If they are mostly pros who are better at PLO than you, perhaps sitting out is not bad. However, your edge can't be too bad if you play a little more snug, and make good decisions. While stack depth is always a concern in PLO and the equities against any other hand (let alone two or more hands) run a little closer, if you can recognize good spots, make good decisions, and can handle the swings, you should be very profitable. I would play. At the worst, you are donating to the right kind of players who will give you action later on.

Wow that is impressive, congrats. I played 1/ 2 a couple of times with you at Magic City think it was back in early 2021. I have been going to Magic for over 6 years. Me and a lot of my friends there are all in the negative, at the end of each year. You winning last year over $16,000 at Magic City at 1 / 2 is incredible. Magic is close by my house know a lot of people there. I am considering to stop playing poker the losses are too big already. Congrats to you again. People don't have any idea how hard it is to win at 1 / 2 cash games, it's like playing 2 / 4 limit everyone at Magic City wants to see the flop and a big percentage of them connect big.

Lex, I have been subscribed for almost a year in March. I love the content remember these are small compared to the long term. Just remember roughly 25k hands is when you can determine your actual winnings will come up on top. Besides that congratulations on the winnings brother.

How many hours of LIVE poker do you think is equivalent of roughly 25,000 hands?

I totally agree with you on bomb pots. My local card room in KS recently started doing these as well and I sit them out about 75% of the time. And I think ours usually take longer than 10 minutes!

Couple thoughts - 1. As a Texas player, the fun of bomb pots wears off after awhile. Especially when paying time, it's just dumb to play. But it keeps the fish in and happy. 2. Don't love that call with 10s - a raise and 3 bet in front of you, 10s are dominated 100%. 3. Great year! I lost about $10k this year playing poker recreationally (first year ever playing) in a mix of online and offline (about 50/50 despite playing way smaller stakes online) so I know what I'm talking about when I say it is harder than it looks! Just don't forget to pay your taxes.

Wow I couldn’t agree more with you about sitting out the plo bomb pots! I was in Houston over Xmas and I was up over $800 playing at Texas card house. I became card dead so I decided to play a plo hand and it actually ended up costing me my whole stack! I was so angry at myself a lesson I won’t forget. Keep up the good work bro 👍🏻

I’m with you on the bomb pots. They play them a bit up in NH and like you said, it ends up being two players leveling each other up for 5 minutes just to chop. I’ve probably come out ahead on them to date but not enough to make it worth missing 5 hands.

Lex.... love the channel. Be interesting to see the breakdown by stakes. Obviously as bankroll grows you naturally go up the stakes, but then also the swings can be bigger

Completely agree with bomb pots, mainly play 1/2 NL at TCH Dallas and some dealers take 10-15 minutes to complete the hand depending on the action..... super tilting. Wouldn't be so bad if we weren't getting time raked the entire time. By the end of a 6 hour session you end up paying close to an hour in just bomb pots.

they are super profitable though especially the PLO bomb pots people just have no idea how to play them profitably and getting NL players to play PLO is a money print

This is such a good point. I stay away from cash games here in Texas. Not a fan of the time rake. (Tournaments only for me). The bomb pots usually get a lot of action; might be best for you cash players to study up and try to make a move when they happen. Easy for me to say though.

Re: those bomb pots, I might do them if I were playing, but I'd be at the lowest stakes tables, so I wouldn't have the same financial considerations. If I were you in your situations, I would 100% sit out unless you feel like straight up gambling. Congrats on a great year, Lex! All the best for 2022.
