I got my first horse for my birthday last year and I told my dad I’d never ask for another present and I didn’t, until I needed a round pen and new stirrups and a new saddle pad, and a rack for the saddles and saddle pads and a second pasture and a years worth of hay… sooo yeah

That's exactly the same as me. When I was 11 and 12 I used to help at a riding stables every Saturday for a free riding lesson in return. Finally this year my parents got me a full loan!

Lolll I started riding at age 6 and I've been doing it now for 10 years, Still don't have a horse but I'll be 18 in a couple years and plan on buying myself a horse then!

I’ve been riding for 11 years now and it’s amazing. I’ve worked with horses for quite a bit if my life and they helped me develop the equestrian I am and the person I am. Horses can change everything.

All my life I’ve wanted a horse this is so relatable 😆. My family has never had the money to own a horse though so I stick to lessons. Maybe you could do a skit for a story like mine? I love your videos ❤️

Some stables will do trades like you work and you get a lesson, plus it’s extra time to be around horses! You do have to be able to get there though and be triable and maybe even in a certain age range.

So excited for you! I always tell people to Lease for a year before actually buying a horse. Its a great way to figure out the work, cost and commitment involved in horse ownership. Actually, I'm planning on leasing a horse myself when I get too old for ownership. I'm 67 now, Figure I have about 15 years left as an owner, and when I'm to old to own, (in about 10 to 15 years) I will lease! Good Luck, have fun and.... Happy Trails! 🐴

The part when you said “I will never never never ever ask for anything else” is so true it’s what every one says when they want a horse 😂

I'm 20. I've always wanted a horse. I'm leashing right now. My family told me this year will be a small Christmas as we are tight on budget. Ironic side of the story: my family got my twinsister teflon cooking pans AND a brand new branded expensive bluetooth ear buds. But when I showed my Christmas list which had brushing boots on the first place (not an expensive one at that) they told me 1. it has to be a small Christmas this year, so we *can't* afford anything expensive (it is literally 1/5 or 1/6 of the price of those ear buds) 2. they wanna buy *me* stuff, not my leash horse. I explained to them many times, that my leash horse is 18 years old and in this cold weather his joints are getting cold, last weekend we even got close to falling on our knees, because on our 40 minute-long session he got so frozen up he didn't feel his legs properly and while we trotted he nearly fell to his knees. Luckily he didn't pull a muscle or anything, but those brushing boots would warm his legs at least and I wouldn't have to fear so much for his health and safety overall. We had to miss no stirrup November, because he pulled a muscle exactly like this in warmer weather on a trail ride, so it would be important to me. Of course my twinsis always comes first as always. So to satisfy my conscience I wrote my dream horse's name and selling link on the back of my wishlist which is hidden thanks to it being placed on the white fridge. I don't want to hear them arguing with me this year and I don't want to be disappointed either. I had enough in the past 4-5 years. I can't bear with this anymore. I hope everyone gets what they want and need this Christmas. Wish you all the best in 2022 as well!

Oh no I really hope your horse is ok and your family will get your brushing boots I would hate for something to happen to your horse! Non horsey people just don’t get it do they? They act like horses are much less important when to us horsey people they are so much more!

He didn't go lame or anything and I even gave him a long massage and some medicinal herbs in his dinner that day to avoid consequences as much as possible. They do act like that. Like horses are just animals, nothing more. They are our confidants, partners and companions at the same time who will listen to our pains and cries no matter what without judging. It pains me that they even saw a few months ago how strong my bond is with my leash horse and they still don't get how important his health is to me.

the until next year i lol'd. this is hilarious, and yes i relate. i wish i got a horse, but i keep on over thinking it, as it is a big responsibility.

This was litrally me before I got my ponies and I honestly couldn’t ask for more except to grow my lil 11.3 to 13.2 because I’m am growing out of her and luckily I am a very small 12 year old but my mum it’s trying to get me to ride our 13.3 which I love riding but she is also my sisters and I love my 11.3 so much that I can’t bear to even think about growing out of her 😂

ive been riding my whole life and I've never really got a horse to call mine after my own horses died bc we moved to a place that board was expensive as heck and then now where I live I'm getting one maybe hopefully next year or the year after- but if I get one for Christmas or my birthday it'll be exactly like this- also I do riding lessons and have a lease horse, I'm a pretty experienced rider but not a pro, I feel confident in any saddle but I'm VERY picky of the horses I ride and will only ride the ones I feel safe or connected to, I will ride any horse though but have a better attitude on the ones I feel safe or connected to because I honestly on the other ones I dont feel safe or connected to I feel like they always go to fast, to slow, they are gonna buck, they will bite, or something bad although I know they actually wont its just a feeling, I LOVE going fast on horses I- again, trust or feel connected to and I wanna be a pro jumper or barrel racer, they are my passions and my calling, they hopefully will be my future- no not hopefully! they WILL be my future and your a HUGE inspiration to me! I love your videos and horses! your always who I look to when I feel down, have an amazing life and time with the horses, again this will definitely be me when I get horses 😂

Where my mother's from, it's considered unlucky to give horses for Christmas (and dogs).

I own alot of horses and I got a palomino three years ago on Christmas and sadly she died a year ago from colic.
