The Halloween Kills intro is amazing, it's like a reference that evil is not exclusive to Michael Myers, in the moment all Haddonfield started claiming for the killers blood they all became evil burning pumpkins, but the one that burns and melts and it's virtualy undestructable: That is Michael himself.

I'm in love with how the last pumpkin in the "Kills" intro is visibly melting and collapsing, just like Michael at the end of Halloween II.

No pumpkins was harmed in the making of these intros.

The Halloween themes that I loved the most were from 1978 and 2018, they are a classic just like the other excellent themes, brilliant master John Carpenter...

Halloween 2 will always be my favorite in the series and it holds my favorite pumpkin intro. The fantastic synth music with a spooky pumpkin opening to reveal the true evil, death, and destruction this night brought upon that poor little town

I never noticed that Halloween Ends uses the same font in its opening titles as Season of the Witch. Given it's the third film in the reboot trilogy that's a really nice touch.

No actually, it’s the fourth film. Because the trilogy starts with the original 1978 movie, and then Halloween 2018 is 40 years after the events of 1978.

Actually it is a nod to the fact that, all the masks involved in evil in the series are from the Silver Shamrock mask factory from Halloween III. From the clown mask when Michael was a kid, to the modified Shatner mask, and the Scarecrow mask that Corey uses, they are all experimental mask prototypes which make people commit evil, and makes the wearer addicted to the masks themselves.

I find it poetic that the first 3 films and the last 3 films of the series have pumpkin openings.🎃

What ceases to maze me is that most, if not all, horror movies implement title's that will provoke fear in their audience to allure more people. But this movie didn't have to, it is simply titled Halloween, and that in itself, is frightening enough.

Halloween 2 is my favorite for how darker and malicious it feels compared to the first. Michael is more brutal and out for blood, and the pumpkin intro perfectly reflects that unhinged nature he has in the film.

1978 will always be the best intro song

Halloween II is literally my favorite sequel of all time! Not only that, but it has a "killer" soundtrack! I literally listen to it in the shower and in time for Halloween.

The original theme has to be the scariest for me, I love all the versions, specially Halloween ll’s but if we want to talk about scary, the original is hands down the best

If Halloween 3 actually related to the rest of the series and thus had Michael in it, this is my opening sequence concept: we see a demonic-faced Jack-o-Lantern, with fall leaves blowing in the wind around it, and we also see, as we push in further, we're inside a pumpkin patch on a dark and stormy night, as the opening pumpkins from the first 2 surround this one, and as we push into the eyes of the new one, those familiar opening credit appear: starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Donald Pleasence as Dr. Loomis, Nancy Stephens as Marion Chambers, Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett, Lance Guest as Deputy Hunt, Clint Eastwood as Officer Hawkins, Eddie Benton as Jessica Brackett(Leigh's niece), Kevin Bacon as Josh Yablans, Brian Andrews as Tommy Doyle, with Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, and Dick Warlock as The Shape, screenplay by John Carpenter, Debra Hill, and Nigel Kneale, music by John Carpenter and Alan Howarth, directed by John Carpenter, the final image is of the pumpkin's eye, where we see Michael climb into the eye, and proceed to slash at the camera, making a spurt of blood the transitions us to the rest of the film (oh, and did I mention there'd be different remixes of the theme seen throughout the film, including a kickass heavy metal rendition by KISS)

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think it's a very good thing we don't have a pumpkin intro like that. Your concept is very visually busy, and seems to be out to do too many things at once. If you really look at the existing pumpkin intros, they thrive on subtlety. Even the later Blumhouse trilogy intros, while they do have a lot happening under the surface, appear to be very simple on the face of it. The Halloween pumpkin intros are special particularly because they manage to hold viewer interest and establish visual symbolism through the use of exceedingly simple visuals.

2018 and 2021 they remixed it sounds so good.

i forgot how epic the halloween II opening is. would’ve been insane to see it on opening night, the same way i saw kills and ends….wish i managed to catch 2018 in the same way but alas. love this series and my fave opening is still kills.

I was lucky enough to see both Halloween (1978) and Halloween II (1981) on their opening nights... I will never forget the vibe in the theatres... People were freaked out... Very cool... Something that I will always remember... Both these movies were ahead of their time and they opened the door for all the slasher films that followed... John Carpenter is the Master Of Horror... 🎃

Halloween Kills’s intro is bone chilling.

Halloween Ends is the best one with the sinister pumpkin with fangs.

I will say this first halloween theme is really good second one sounds all technoy third one not really a fan the 2018 one always puts a smile on my face and im bobbing my head along to the beat and the last one is so good sends chills down my spine and I love the choir as well

Halloween 2 was the best and the scariest. The hospital scenes with Michael patrolling around was frightening.

I still don't know what to think of Halloween 3 to this day.

I prefer my Halloween movies to have Michael Myers. I love the guy, he’s a horror icon. That being said, I will watch Halloween 3 over some of the movies that butcher him, like Resurrection, and the Rob Zombie movies. Maybe even over Halloween 5 and 6 as well.

Carpenter's Halloween: The candle fades out, hinting that it's gonna be a looooong night. Halloween II: Pumpkin splits to reveal a skull, hinting at the gorier approach to follow Halloween III: Season of the Witch: Lines form on a computer screen, with the final zoom out revealing it to be the image of a Jack-O-Lantern, hinting at the main plot in this standalone third outing Green's Halloween: A Jack-O-Lantern appears mouldy and destroyed, withered by years of decay and shit sequels and reboots, only to then spring back to life slowly. "SAY SOMETHING, MICHAEL!" Halloween Kills: Multiple Jack-O-Lanterns, all on fire, referencing not just the core theme about the dangers of mob mentality, but moreso, the film's whopping 31 death body count. "Halloween Kills" indeed.

I have to say my all-time favorite is the opening of HALLOWEEN ENDS - I actually found myself jamming out to that one. Not to mention the fact that I wake up with it in my head a whole lot after I saw the movie.

I don't think I ever realized that 4 and 5 ditched the pumpkin intro. Anyway, say what you will about Ends, it has one of the best.
