I start feeling a bit overwhelmed when I expand too far. I think micromanaging provinces is really neat, but... late into the game it just isn't feasible. You pretty much have to play more macro at that point, but I just don't really feel as connected to the campaign and usually put said campaign down. That said, while I don't usually play that way, watching you gives me an opportunity to see the macro side of the game, which is also pretty neat.

oh i feel the same way most of the time but it's still fun to once in a while play a expansionist horde i think the general problem is just how eu4 works, if you're not at constant war you're missing out on something hopefully (and likely from what ive seen about eu5) this will be addressed with stuff like not being able to stack modifiers by reforming into different nations and etc

hey, have you ever played eu4 as KALMYK? I'm not sure how you would start as these guys as the wiki states mean time for even 600 months.. I'm playing Prussia, this is the first time I've ever seen Kalmyk form in 4000 hours of playing the game... they are a Buddhist Horde near Crimea.. i just found it a really odd concept to have a Buddhist horde with a lotus leaf as their flag. I wonder if any youtuber has ever played them?

Yo! Had no idea it existed. Such a bizarre nation with Vajrayana religion o_O might have to check it out at some point. From the requirements I think you can release it, vassalize, release and play after 1600s

@@GolemEnt yeah im playing prussia but i started early 1600s cos i often play the normal start date and quit by 1600-1650 cos i get fed up with huge rebel problems so starting later lets me experience a slightly different game...

you don't ever build fort on province you are protecting practicaly you're inviting AI to siege that province, always build next to province that is important to you

they are almost identical tbh, kazan probably edges out slightly because 25% religious unity

I will like you to form mongol empire but first for fun factor to conquer Europe and then to go and form the mongols.

You should play Third Odyssey if you haven't. You can also play Spartania or Vinland
