Would be interested in a Tall Persia run with Infrastructure because there are so many synergies (fort bonuses in mountains, construction cost reduction, cheaper trade upgrades and most obviously, dev cost reduction)

Honestly I was surprised at all the culture conversion modifiers it gets. Seems like an EZ 1 faith 1 culture tag now to rival Bohemia.

Haven't had a single game where Shirvan doesn't ally Ajam around December 1st and where Ajam decks me after taking Biapas, then if you manage to win that war against Ajam QQ and AQ join in. Feels very impossible atm.

I had to do about 10 restarts before I could finally make it past 1450 without dying. Shirvan tends to ally Ajam ~60% of the time, but if you go full war economy + merc spam, you should be able to win even against both of them.

Idk how it's really a problem, as said in a video, you have to simply adjust to setup around you. I saw 4 different setups in 5 test runs. Defeating ajam and shirvan is really easy, even in my run I defeated Ajam and Biapas while being after first war, while attacking them just 1 year and 4 months after game start. Did you see me complaining abour fighting Ajam, 2 subjects and their ally? :p Nope, Ajam is shit in 1444 :), same for QQ, they run out of manpower after 2 battles in your mountains while you base your strength on mercs. The only difference some alliance chain might cause is simply amount of loans you need to win, but long term it's really a minimal cost if you scale alright

I love how in the most recent updates most of the new mission trees have some good ways to add development (Japan, Korea, China are good examples). It's fun to build up a super high value core territory even when you're blobbing.

I needed like 20 restarts, because they always got a strong ally (Biapas even got timurid once) and Qara always declare on me after 1-2 Years. Now after I managed to beat all 3 (couldn't take much of an defensive war against Qara), every Nation around me got like 40 - 50k Troops with Allies. (Ajam always! (in every restart) allies Nogai, AQ and a third nation in the first few months). Obv. it's doable, but it's surprisingly hard. Ludi said in his Ajam Video that Aradabil is easier, and I have no clue how. Definitely the hardest "new content" nation in this update for me.

I did 5 test runs sir and died only in the first one. Ardabil is all about 1. Stacking right modifiers 2. Commiting 3. Fighting right battles/sieges With these 3 combined I'd say you can be 70% sure to survive and succeed early on. Moaning about initial alliances doesnt matter as I didnt see a chain that was undoable

This is what i love about zlewikk i see him getting a great heir, and sees why it look suspicius But after watching so many hours of his gameplay i have no doubt that he just got lucky

It were Shun that got the trade efficiency while you get the imp relation bonus from that mission form how I read it. :)

I've done a minimum of 20 games, Shirvan will always ally Ajam within the first month, Ardabil is basically a kick in the balls to play since there is no way to expand.

I said it pretty clearly in the video, I did 5 test games and I saw 4 different alliances setup early on. You cannot treat this video as a step by step guide, but rather guidelines. Use the morale resources I presented + mercs and you can win in any setup. If not Shirvan then go for Biapas. If not Biapas then go for Ajam. But in EVEEY of test runs I did I could go for either Shirvan or Biapas. Ideally these two can ally which I also saw happening

@@ZlewikkTV I am not dismissing what you said nor saying it's a bad guide, I'm just giving my take based on my experience, I've tried other expansion routes and Shirvan seems to be the only meaningful area to expand into but due to their choice of allies being almost exclusevly Ajam, getting an opening to attack them is very unlikely.

Just Ajam should not be a problem since you could use it to take cores in the same war. You have insane morale advantage, just levarage it togwther with mountain fort. So if Ajam has just Shirvan then dec on Ajam and separate peace Shirvan first. If they have more allies then you might consider making Shirvan a primary enemy

@@greas1233look, you want an easy W? I got the strat for you. You restart until Biapas has no allies until 11 december. Then you drag Gilan into the war and go stand on your core until your qizilbash are done for the mission. You merge your armies and go on Biapas’s capital (Gilan will attach to you once you go in). As soon as you 100% Biapas, you wait for Ajam to dec on them. You vassalize them, force religion and take back your core. Gilan will join you vs Ajam in a defensive war. Ideally you would also ally Mushasha day 1, this way they join too, making the war even easier. You sell titles, get 1% loans, recruit mercs and fuck Ajam, taking your cores and 100%ing them for money, war reps and alliances. You take the mission for religious CB right before the peace deal and them you use it vs Shirvan who is not allied to Ajam anymore (or you leave the alliance to reset truce, depends). After being done with Biapas, Ajam and Shirvan, you go QQ, who will by then be dying to a 20k pretender stack. Key is to take Tabriz before the pretenders enforce, as their 20k will them become QQ troops. Then you hope Timi hits weak ajam and starts bordering you for you to use the religious CB. The world is your after that😉

Formed persia in 1470s as ardabil but ofc the game i play in Persia is the one game where the ottomans only expand eastward

When should I restart my ardabil game? I usually attack biapas first, since shirvan mostly allies ajam. Most of the games baiapas doesnt ally shirvan either, so I usually wait for the right moment to attack shirvan and ajam at the same time, but it's very cost expensive

The amount of save Scum for this start is unreal

I have tried to use the "Guidelines" but everytime Shirvan allies with Ajam and i get the same Power Dynamic. I just end up dying.

There should be event to incite Shiite revolte friendly to Ardanil in nearby Shiite provinces. The third feudal theoretical button should allow receiving nearby Shiite exiles just like Cossack countries. The red heads should be recruted with mil points. Otherwise, what's the point of the title King of Kings?

Is it always best to shift consolidate your troops in all cases? I know for battles it’s best but like, what if you’re just sitting on a siege?

Yes, in majority of the cases. It does not impact siege itself, but it impacts assaults as hell. One situation where you might want to avoid it is when you have like 30/0/30 stack and after battle you have like 20k infantry left (or less), then if a new battle starts you might want to avoid consolidating as your artillery will end up on the first row.

Might it be good to create new technology group for Persia and some central tag I Asia?

For Persia it would especially make sense if you became Zoroastrian, it's strange to be in the "muslim" tech group despite not being muslim.

@@ZlewikkTV Od wczoraj jakieś 50 restartów (jak nie więcej) i ani jednego bez sojuszu shirvanu z ajamem, nawet jeśli wbijam w biapas, to wszyscy na około mają takie sojusze, że ciężko coś zrobić dalej. A nie, była jedna gra gdfzie podbiłem shirvan ale biapas ale ajam we mnie wjechał i skończyłem jako podbity bankrut

@@MrMajkelon zarowno Ajam jak i QQ sa w chuj latwe po pokonania. Masz 1 wiecej morale i fort w gorach. To ze ktores Cie zaatakuje to nie problem a ZALETA bo nie musisz walczyc z ich sojusznikami. W nagraniu dobrze widac ze wygralismy z Ajamem i sojusznikiem praktycznie na poczatku. To sa mega proste wojny z mercami i takim morale/gorami

So fr what I see it's supposed to be you can invite to sphere from anywhere, and can enforce religion from anywhere to then invite to sphere, so you can ignore AE by enforcing religion on Austria for example then invite them to Persian influence since I believe HRE doesn't give debuffs to invite to sphere, and bam you got an Austrian vassal in europe

This was the only run I recorded. 4 test runs before (all with pretty good results except first no matter the RNG) with usually good generals. People in this game are really overthinking the RNG, which for decent players is really jjst a difference of having a good run vs. a bit better while for some people it's like 'the rng is the only way to survive', which is just not true :)

How do you get the estate general decision?

How many restarts to get shirvan to not have an alliance with ajam

Sadly I already have the achievement "this is persia" ;-; Would have been a cool run

By 1447 you should already defeat (or ending the war) with Ajam :p, which makes QQ war fairly easy since it'a defence in mountains while having far superior army. Also, they base on manpowee which is low while you have mercs ao over time you completely drain their army

They did not in any of my 5 test runs. I dont see a reason why they would when I have 1 more morale and same (or bigger) quantity of troops. A small advantage of going so much over FL. In most of test runs I went after QQ before Timmies, but here I had an opportunity I had to grab.

All my starts have been very similar. If all your starts have been very similar and different from mine, does it mean our restarts don't necesarily re-randomize everything?

Also a sidenote, QQ attacking you is actually not bad since you can beat their ass easily and you do not have to fight their allies (which would happen if you attacked). Now that I think about it, I believe that I actually had one game when it happened so it's just a simple defense on the mountains and a blessing if played well. I was very clear stating this in the video that I've seen so many eaely alliances setup on the region that you cannot treat this video as a step by steo guide, but rather guideliness.

@@ZlewikkTV I'm getting all the quality modifiers that are available, war declaration is 1445 so I don't get that much chance. Basically the first mission, and the advisor (well rulers also has the bonus for moral and Ardabil starts -100 piety.) True that getting declared on means an easier war than declaring. But you got to keep in mind most of QQ's diplomatic relations are tied up with vassals anyways. The war would get so much easier/cheaper though if I had two forts and a safe province. Which taking over Shiravan would provide. (oh BTW, 100% of the times for me Shiravan has Allied Ajam!) RNG is kinda interesting to me, it's like different chess openings (more like different starting setup :D) Every now and then when start a game I save a specific starting setup because it has opportunity for funky results,.

Wait, let me get this straight. So if you go down the shia Persian path you basically play tall by FORCING everyone around you your culture and your religion and then making them your vassal?? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I finally got it working. Got lucky that Shirvan didn't get any allies and also declared war on Biaspas. Destroyed Shirvan first taking cores and then fully sieged Biaspas. I sat on provinces until Ajam declared on Biaspas --> took core from Biaspas and vassalized them, putting me into defensive war against Ajam without any allies.

I think this is a bit broken.

Once, after I installed a Steam update, the color of Fars changed from pink to that GIF of the cat bobbing it's head.
