I don’t get your dislike with Frontiers since there is a lore reason for why they can do this, tied to a war against Satan. The Spirits are even known to be separate entities.

Data in Digimon =/= Data in our real life. Data in Digimon has been stated to be the same thing as quantum particles. It is the same thing as the atoms and molecules of the Real world. Duftmon also stated that the 1's and 0's of Digital data can be expressed as matter and energy. In Cyber Sleuth when the Eaters induce Digital Shifts that turn data to reality even the mind and the soul become data. When Erika studies Wormmon she finds out that Digimon avatars are more complex than human EDEN avatars. And that they are just like organic beings. It makes sense why they are more complex since data or Digital information was said to be energy from a higher dimension. And the Digital World is as a matter of fact a higher dimension to the Real World and is in a superior hierarchical position to the Human World. So yes that's their skin ripping off.

So I would like to point out an error this video made. Tailmon is already an Adult form. Nefertimon is an Armor evolution, not an Adult form. Tailmon’s actual Child form is Plotmon which is a cute little puppy.

Data or more specifically digital information in the form of Digital Wave was said to be energy coming from a higher dimension ( the Digital World is not a parallel world to the Human World but a higher dimension that stands in a hierarchical position superior to the Real World). Destroying anything made out of data > destroying anything made out of matter. So yes, their skin is peeling off and i don't remember where it's said but is said that it's so painful that they can literally die. Yes Birdramon is a living fire. She,Meramon and Agnimon are the incarnation of the Firewall, the defensive wall that protects the Digital World from intruder infiltrations.
