All electric Vw golf Mk2 citystromer, Nissan leaf motor update.

A factory built Ev Golf from 1991.
It needs some work but it’s in a pretty good shape after all these years. I have tried to find the original ABB power electronics whitout any luck, i do not think that I ever gonna find one.
That makes me think to change this drive train to a more efficient and modern one, probably a Nissan Leaf drive unit. In this video i will create the coupler between the motor shaft and the clutch. I will try to make this swap as original as possible so it still will have the original feeling after the motor swap, 5 speed and reverse together with the original clutch.

hello from germany again and best wishes with the citystromer project. I could not understand why VW itself have not done what you are doing! Come over to germany and teach them how to make good cars again. It is a shame how long they have been sleeping until a new player showed that we still can produce good cars here in germany: TESLA 😳

That looks pretty good 👍 if you had to loosen the loctite again, you just have to heat the component well and the loctite will become soft again

Tis project is looking great! How about the project with de victron and the battery-cell at the wall? Why did you disconnect the cell? At 1:57

Hi, and thank you ☺️. No need to have a small Off-Grid system now when the energy prices are almost 0€. And the other reason is that I now need that module in the battery bank for this Citystromer project. Thanks for your question ☺️👍🏻
I think your title should read "CityStromer", citystomer sounds like a bag you put poo in... ahh yes, now I see the connection...

Hi. Yes. The leaf motor have a reduction gear box at 8:1 gearing. So the second and the third gear will be the mostly used gears in my case.
Is the Citystromer road legal with this conversion on the swedish roads? In Denmark, this would not really be possible unless you had the money to get the car re-tested and have it live up to modern requirements (safety, EMI, etc.) which is unfeasible for 99% of the population unless they have a bottomless pit of money.

Hi. It’s possible and will not cost so much. Hopefully the Swedish Volkswagen group, will come back to me with some papers and tell me that the power from this motor are within the limits of this car. If they not think that this is okay, I can register it as a modified car.
6:25 Better use 2 pcs Thread rod + nut with glue!
